tyndall air force base shows the damage including stealth fighter jets. they are valued at $150 million each. they were left behind because it was too dangerous to fly. senator bill nelson has seen its share of storms. >> it's the middle of october. we are feeling good weather here. you are not supposed to have a category 4 hurricane. it left destruction in its wake all the way to chattahoochee, florida. reporter: the station is closing at dusk for the curfew. gulf power is warning residents in four of florida's hardest hit counties, they may not get power back for weeks. david: new details concerning

glenn simpson, the co-founder of fusion gps. that was the firm paid by the dnc and the clinton campaign for the discredited dossier. he plans to appear before a hearing next tuesday before the house judiciary committee, but his lawyer says he'll take the fifth. he told officials he first met with bruce ohr after the 2016 election. but ohr's emails and handwritten notes show contact months before. ohr's wife nellie is also expected to testify. she did research for fusion gps. gregg jarrett, if they read your book, they would have known bruce ohr had contact with

simpson before the election. gregg: they are the ones behind the hoax funded by hillary clinton that was feeding phoney information to the fbi. david: even if simpson does plead the fifth web is on record saying he didn't know. he is in trouble, even if he pleads the fifth. >> i read this testimony today. and a couple other things jump out at you. he insiste insist -- he insistey read it. of course he said i only met with bruce after the election. the documents show before. so he's in they will jeopardy. that's why he's invecting the fifth. david: he was linked to the

russian disinformation campaign which is what a lot of the dossier was. i talked to the former head of the cia chief in moscow. and asked him what he thought about the trump dossier. he said it's classic russian disinformation. to the president's point. if there was russian collusion, and it appears there was, it's clearly on the part of the democratic party. >> they launched an investigation without it to frame donald trump. there was hillary clinton rugs collusion and it wasn't just her paying christopher steele and glenn simpson. she had on her payroll a lawyer feeding coming computer storage data as well as documents about alleged trump russia collusion to the fbi which was using this information. hillary clinton in many ways was

behind the russia hoax with the help of course of james comey's fbi and obama's department of justice. david: then there is the question of rod rosenstein. the story came out that he and andy mccabe who was parts of the cabal with peter strzok. there is a story rosenstein and mccabe were at odds with each other. but it appears rosenstein's claim about being wired with the president was said? jest. now there is information that maybe it wasn't. is rosenstein in trouble? gregg: he's certainly in trouble. this is his standard excuse, when he's caught in engage in wrongdoing, he says my words were misinterpreted. this is a guy who should have recused himself at the outset.

and mccabe demanded at a meeting and mueller is there, that rosenstein recuse himself. in my book i cite the number of law professors who were astonished, that he demanded and rosenstein didn't recuse himself. there is rosenstein. he is the definition of a conflict of interest and he should have recused himself. he has been suppressing documents in an effort to apparently cover up his own wrongdoing. david: he told the president that in fact what he said about carrying a wire was said in jest, was sarcastic, whatever. the president has to deal with a man who may have lied to him directly about that. he was pretty good about standing up behind rosenstein because he was working for the vital part of the justice department. if he lied to the president, he's done, right?

>> absolutely. but what rosenstein can't do is lie to congress under oath which is why he doesn't want to do an interview that's transcribed, recorded or under oath. he just wants to have a conversation where he can lie to the chairman of the committee the same way he allegedly lied to the president. if you are under oath, you can't do that. it speaks volumes about rosenstein's conduct and intentions. david: so many strings to this story getting tied together in an interesting knot. coming up next, the radical dimms identity shifting into an unhinged mob. >> when someone says when they go low, we go high. no, no. when they go low, we kick them. >> you cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for. >> please get up in the face of

democrats treated judge kavanaugh a few weeks ago. if she wants to advocate civility and that's the best example of it, i don't want any part of it. she wants to get back on the ticket again and that's not going to happen. >> i think if we keep talking about -- we made great momentum. it helped in the senate races. we sort of filled the bucket with all the races we had in the last cycle. there are three or four democrats in democrats and three or four more republicans in jeopardy. we are talking about putting the money up for the wall come september is very, very important. david: beside style, there is substance. it's a matter of who gets the job done. you think of what happened the past year and a half.

david: welcome back. i'm david asman in for lou dobbs. there is breaking news from ohio where president trump is speaking to supporters near cincinnati calling out radical dimms. president trump: republicans believe in the rule of law, not the rule of the mob. david: the president's rally is in support of the republican congressman steve shabbat and jim renasi. joining me, tom whiton, the president mentions the pledge he has the been able to follow

through on because of so much stalling from congress. are we close or how far away are we? >> we are far away. they gave some funding, but nowhere near the amount needed. it shouldn't be a partisan issue. defending the country and securing the bored. everybody in washington should want to do that. there is no downside to reducing illegal immigration and the flow of drugs into this country. david: there is no logic in a lot of the rhetoric from people who want to prevent that from happening. claire mccaskill was talking about fentanyl, and she said the president's discussion of border security detract from our ability to stop fentanyl. >> the wall would slow the flow

of fentanyl coming across the border. it's coming in through the mail system. the feds are attacking the mail system. but it's coming across that border, too. i'm disappointed she made a statement like that. david: what the federal agents who work for i.c.e. are doing, they are trying to keep out the bad guys. but they are also trying to keep out the drugs. and they risk their lives in doing that, yet they want to get rid of i.c.e. >> the president made the war on fentanyl a priority. when i was the i.c.e. director, i funded title 3 in overtime for law enforcement. we trained self law enforcement agencies on how to handle it. we have been very productive on this. the war on fentanyl is on going.

she is conflating the issues. the administration is concentrating on fentanyl. but the wall is a totally different issue. and it will help stem the flow. she is just wrong. david: the democrats' war on i.c.e. they kind of backed off on that. i think they got backlash from their constituents. they are saying we are seeing they are keeping the bad folks out. but i am just wondering what you personally felt. it's an insult to the people who put their lives on the line trying to protect american citizens to suggest not only that we should get rid of ice, but there is something wrong with the people who work for i.c.e. >> the congressmen and senators who said that, it's ridiculous on its face.

i.c.e. doesn't make this stuff up. i.c.e. enforces the law congress implemented. for the 20,000 men and women of i.c.e. who strap a gun to their hips every day to defend this nation, that's a slap in the face. go walk the wall of fallen law enforcement officers and then say that. david: the suggestion there is any kind of anti-latino influence involved in what the i.c.e. agents do. i looked at i.c.e. agents and border patrol people who have been killed in the line of duty. more than half of the names i saw are hispanic names. they are among the top i.c.e. agents risking their lives. they are among the top border agents being killed in the line of duty. that's an insult to the agents

accept that amount of surveillance inside and embassy. david: the president said he's going to talk to the saudi king to try to get him to cooperate with us. we can forget because we produce enough our oil. they have to sell it in light of a glut of oil in the world. but we do need their help or it's helpful to have their help in dealing with iran. and we might lose that if we play hardball with them. >> it's important to raise this issue. who country should use consulates or embassies as a place to murder dissident. we don't want to knock the saudis out of the fight with iran. they spend $60 billion to $70 billion on defense. that's two to three times what israel spend. when it comes to resisting iran.

we have aircraft carriers in the persian gulf. but they are fighting a proxy war in yemen. david: meanwhile you have got china. i just talked about google it's extraordinary how they are essentially helping the chinese to spy on their people and censor information coming from their people. what do you think of all that? >> it's disappointing. google is not alone among silicon valley companies willing to help china censor the internet but not helping the fbi unlock a cell phone after a terrorist attack. but silicon valley believes they are going to get access to the giant chinese market, 1.3 billion people. the chinese have been selling

this mirage for a long time. if you get deep into the chinese business they will take away your assets or your technology. david: you look what happened in china. it's extraordinary. the last couple years he were throwing up their hand saying they are take over the little island in the south china sea. but we can't do anything about it. when president trump first was inaugurated, xi looked invincible. he doesn't look that way anymore. >> it's been an amazing flipping of the script. trump was going to be impeached, powerless. and now you have the chinese currency in a til spin. their growth is slowing. they lie about their numbers. and even the incorrect numbers aren't so good.

freed slaves that were virtually all republican. you talk about real voter suppression. that's what was going on back then because we had leaders encourage and actively being involved. and that's what hillary and eric hold are doing. david: they are encouraging mobs. a lot of people don't like the phrase, lynch mob. lynching was not just reserved for one race. but anybody that a mob felt deserved to be deprived of any judicious process. that's what hillary clinton is talking about. tammy: great analogy there. the kind of a last desperate gasp of people with ideas that have been rejected. we are moving forward.

that we have been an economy that is doing well. yet they don't have any ideas to counter that. so the difference is then they resort to issuing threats and wanting and encouraging and endorsing chaos. the problem of course is you have to take into consideration the context. they are saying these things while violence has taken place. attempted mass murder and attempted stabbing. letters with the wrong ingredient for ricin. the doxxing of senators on the judiciary committee. rand paul said he's concerned somebody is going to get killed. we had mrs. obama say this is not right. david: there are are some mainstream democrats trying to separate themselves. tammy: they are not leadership.

it seems to be obvious to some leadership. but leadership of the democratic party in general is not coming together to say enough is enough because this is going to go off the rail. david: i want to talk about kanye west. it's not so much what he said in the oval office, it's the reaction to his being in the oval office. some of the worst slurs you can possibly think of being used to describe his behavior. what do you make of all that? >> i think it's disgusting. if any republican or conservative uttered that kind of language against a celebrity, be it taylor swift or one of these legion of hollywood celebrities that support liberal causes, they would be called racist, sexist, homophobic. the two are not unrelated. what we talked about earlier in

terms of encouraging mob violence. this desperate attack against kanye west. camn tammy is -- tammy is spot on. the democrat party is out of ideas. the organizing principle and foundation of the left these day with the civil rights legislation being successful and women's rights going much further. all the advances being made, the only only organizing principle they have is hate. tammy: let me add one thing, niger. i want to remind people one of the core elements of what mr. west is being accused of is mental willness. that's what tyrants have always done with their opponents. they declare them insane and they disappear it's amazing how
