better than donald trump. lou: this is a president who is three days a week. on the weekend he's at another rally. that's four rallies a week. in my career i have never seen a president devote this kind of energy and time and support to a mid-term election. ed: there never has been. the difference is he can win the senate seats, tennessee where we have an open seat. he has done a masterful job there. lou: marcia blackburn is in the lead. ed: they are all * close. the president energizing his base, getting more voters out there. heller was the most of vulnerable guy. the president has been there 12 times. he turned from being anti-trump to strong trump.

lou: if he's not pro -- why would anybody be anti-trump? here is a man who turned around the economy. this is an economy the chairman of the federal reserve which i think the president is absolutely right, this jerome powell is out of his mind to be raising rates at this pace. and he is jeopardizing a strong economy and markets performing beautifully. there is 2% inflation. that's the target. what's the excuse. but getting back to it. the president has done -- there is nothing he can do. >> no one has ever had a stronger economy in the last 50 years i have been around the game as this president has driving this agenda. it should be a slam dunk. the biggest problem in the house is we have 40-plus house members who gave up their seats to run for something else. going in and defending those

seats, they lost their chairmanship so they didn't want to go back. that's what makes this difficult. lou: it makes it difficult because you have a rino lame duck speaker. as far as i can tell he's done nothing. the support that's been divide in the house and the senate, mitch mcconnell has his favorites, the senate campaign committee is following those favorites and punishing those who are conservatives pry narrowly that he doesn't get along so well with. the same thing is happening in the house. yet ryan should have been out of there, jordan should have been in and you would have had a totally different result. >> we have no message. you have not seen the speaker out there anywhere. you see talk shows saying you should be electing republicans. lou: the president said all of

that on entitlements, he said it kindly and gently, they are full of it. mcconnell and ryan don't understand who they are. ed: they don't understand the public either. with this issue going on in mexico right now probably saves cruz who is in pretty good shape in texas. probably gives us the arizona seat and probably helps us in the nevada seat. lou: i don't understand yes would even need -- the president should be able to say this man, this woman are supporting the trump agenda and trump doctrine and i don't understand why every american wouldn't vote for him. how could they ask for a better economy and better on more positive and effective foreign policy? how could they ask for more problems to be solved, not talked about, yapped about by
