u.s.-mexico border. that has krysten sinema and martha mcsally at odds. mcsalary says this is part of a constant stream of border crossing. >> now we have this caravan coming up. but we have little care vans coming every single day. this is insane. we need to unify as a country and stop this from happening. it's ridiculous. reporter: today in arizona the president threatening to stop the flow of cash to countries like he'll salvador and honduras if they don't stop the people marching towards our border. president trump: we give tens of millions of dollars to el salvador and honduras. i called mexico. i said we have lousy laws.

i hope you won't let these people come through your you country and march 1,000 miles up through your country. but it's being stopped as of his moment by mexico. reporter: secretary of state mike pompeo just met with mexican president pena an nieto. so far four police officers have been yard. trish: the man who has been beating the drum, mr. lou dobbs, good to see you, sir. what happened? if they get to the border. mexico, they are promising they are going to stop them. but they didn't stop them from crossing over into mexico, and these people are continuing to march on. lou: 700 mexican law enforcement

officials were shipped in there to do just that. the honduran nationals crashed through the fence it's a flimsy fence like most of the fence that stretches along our 2,000-mile long border with mexico. the mexican government has an opportunity. i believe andres manuel lopez obrador is a smart man, and so is pena nieto. they have agreed in substance to stop this onslaught as the president refers to it. while we cannot change our laws quickly enough because the democrats begin, the radical dimms want to see open borders. they want this scene for the mid-terms at our southern border rather than mexico's. everyone i talk to is very optimistic about the possibilities. trish: they want this? come on, lou.

were lying about the number of illegal immigrants. 10 million have come into this country over the course of the past decade through chain migration. we know also there are 22 to 30 million illegal immigrants in the country. not 11 million as the business interests, the corporatists want you to believe. our government isn't even counting these numbers to report to the american people. the number of family units that came in september was an unpublished number that was leaked. this is what we are dealing with and this is a government led by the man change america, reforming its government, and making every possibility a reality for american citizens. trish: common sense, lou. lou: it may be common sense. but it takes uncommon courage

out, a lot of these caravans are coming over the border every day in smaller groups. they want to get rid of i.c.e. what does that mean for the safety of american citizens. >> it's a continuation of open borders. i.c.e. arrests child predators and do terrorist investigation and drug trafficking investigation. we are the second largest in the joint terrorism task force. we do a lot to keep this country safe. the immigration part of it is part of their open borders agenda. if there is no i.c.e. in the use united states, and you get past border patrol, no one is looking for you. it's a continuation of the same

open borders agenda democrats have had. trish: i looked through an i.c.e. report. if you have go through, there were so many people in there that had been arrested for crimes. in some cases violent crimes. then it came to whether they ever went to trial. they never did. they never did because somehow they had to get released and i.c.e. couldn't do a darn thing by the because of sanctuary city policies. how much are sanctuary cities at this moment hurting us, tom. >> sanctuary cities are un-american. the america i group in people respected law enforcement. a law enforcement officer was able to walk into a taxpayer funded county jail to talk to somebody who is in the country illegally and has been arrested for another crime. when the local jurisdiction

arrested them and locked them in a jail cell. this is a threat to officer safety because they release them into the streets. it creates a situation for i.c.e. officers because we are going to find them. and instead of arresting them in the safety of the county jail, we have to knock on the door. you are letting bad people back into the community to reoffend in the very communities in which they live, which is the immigrant communities. you entice more people like the caravan to come to the united states. they will be protected from i.c.e. if they get to san francisco or chicago. trish: all of these families coming here -- >> no one wants to separate families. but the reason that was done is because of what's going on right

now. if there is no consequence and deterrent to illegal activity, why would it stop. the 9th circuit ruled you cannot hold these families beyond 20 days. that is not time enough to see a judge. that's why. in three weeks they separated families, illegal crossing went down by 23%. they would have stuck with it, there wouldn't be a caravan today. as sad as it is we have to defend our border. the president needs to put it out that is an option we'll consider. if they do get to the bored. first of all there is an agreement when can do with mexico call it a safe third country. if they want to claim asylum -- trish: they don't want to claim tonight mexico. >> we have an agreement with

jamal khashoggi was killed in their consulate in turkey. reporter: saudi arabia confessed jamal khashoggi is dead and he died inside that consulate in turkey. the kingdom has been denying the death of the mission columnist. now state media reporting there was a quarrel inside the consulate where khashoggi was killed. today the kingdom arrested 18 people. 15 of the men inside that consulate. powerful figures inside the government have been fired. one close advisor to mohammad bin salman. the report stopped short of saying the crown prince knew anything about the operation instead saying the powerful underlings launched this operation on their own. donald trump says he'll respond,

issue. that it was a losing issue for them. even in clinton districts and competitive swing states. trish: are you trying to stay away from immigration as a candidate? >> here is the thing. ted cruz is extremely unpopular. he has -- he's up. >> the state is extremely red and he's dig and he's trying to catch up with beto o'rourke. is there not a single statewide democratic representative. not a single statewide democrat member. every statewide elected official is republican. cruz is unpopular. his own party doesn't like him. now in a state like texas that's so red you have to have donald trump campaign for him. trish: donald trump is helping a

lot of candidates all over the country. >> i get it if he goes to maine or california. send your money, i love it. >> the people trying to make the texas race an actual race are the national media who have been doing the glossy froa profiles on beto. they keep trying to make beto happen and he's not going to happen. he's going to win handily. >> now you are spending money in texas instead of turning texas into a fundraising state, you are spending money there. trish: democrats are shying away from that because i think as lou and i were discussing at the beginning of this show, common sense will tell you, you can't have open borders. so given that you are looking at 4,000 people approaching our

southern border at this very moment. what does your party say that will make people across america feel safe? >> we have laws in this country. trish: the laws aren't working. >> you have the house, you had the senate, you have the president, now you have the supreme court. pats laws and enforce the laws. you don't do anything because the republican party is bad at governing. the gop. the gop. trish: the gop right now. >> the gop. trish: hasn't done anything despite the fact that you have an economy at 4.2%. >> thank you president obama. trish: don't give me that. >> i am giving you that. he saved the economy. >> trump tried to solve the immigration issue.
