[♪] trish: a win for republicans tonight as they get one step closer to cementing a u.s. senate seat in florida. a judge just sided with governor rick scott and ordered the immediate release of information surrounding the mysterious and sudden newly found votes in democrat bill nelson's favor. we have the latest on this developing story. also new this evening. i want you to take a look at this. this is video from the u.s. borderer patrol just in. the border patrol telling us it apprehended over 400 migrants in just 48 hours. they are all crossing the border

illegally and they land in western arizona where they are tonight. this as at least 4,000 migrants continue their march towards the u.s. from mexico city right now. homeland security says there are criminals amongst them. president moving to deny asylum to any migrants who come here illegally in an attempt to thwart what he calls an invasion. the aclu pushing back calling the president's proclamation an asylum ban. what? it's not a ban. they still can apply for asylum. they just have to do it the right way. deepak chopra on the growing incivility on the climate we live the in right now. republicans in florida may be getting a little bit closer to seeing their candidate, rick scott, become an official u.s. senator. a florida judge siding with scott. scott says election officials are manipulating mid-term results in broward county by hiding information about the number of votes cast and the number of votes counts. foxconn firming bags much uncounts early ballots have just been found in that same county. no precise number has been given. but it's expected to be under 100 balance lots total. -- ballots total. this is kind of wild. all these votes are turning up out of thin air. i don't know why they are not counting them to begin with. >> governor scott soon to be senator scott went to the bed

with a 60,000 vote lead. all of a sudden you see that lead come down to 16,000. they can't explain where the ballots came from. it's inexcusable. she was rebuked by a judge and rightfully so. trish: the woman at the center of the controversy has a habit of suddenly finding things. >> you look back at her history. in 2016 she illegally destroyed ballots. she also illegally announced election results 30 minutes before the polls closed. in 2016 she admitted that she allowed illegal immigrants to vote and some felons to vote in broward county and this happened under her watch. now here we are with brenda snipes at the of all this.

have a lot. >> the real threat appears to be not the russians. but what you just said. internally. some of these polling locations, the allegations are many. you have senator rubio very well respected. reasonable guy month tweeted out there is an allegation in palm beach county under penalty of perjury that they were taking ballots filled out incorrectly instead of filled in with a black ball point penn and they were remaking ballots without any supervision. it's incredible. we need to look into this. trish: we most of definitely do. talk to me about the significance of what the judge did tonight. this enables the republicans to see what the votes were and are that are suddenly coming forward in broward county.

>> as of 7:10 w.m. congressman matt gaetz was reporting they were still not being given the records. brenda snipes' attorney said no i will not listen to this judge. it's time for the secretary of state to take over. if she won't comply with the judge's order, someone else needs to come in. we need to know what's going on there. trish: what do you think is going on? >> i think there is wrongdoing. she has a long storied history of corruption. there is something going on here. you shouldn't have to be rebuked by a judge more than three times. if you are, something is happening, i believe there could be fraud in here. but we'll get answers in the next now days. trish: why is she still in the position? >> it's a great question.

escaping persecution in honduras, why didn't you accept protection in mexico because you are two countries away from that danger. you are right. i will never say all these people are committing fraud. there are people, at least 9% who do win their cases and have a valid fear of persecution. but most of of them are taking advantage of a broken system. you can't want to be part of the great just country on earth and not respect its laws. do it the right way and go through the port of entry. trish: it doesn't seem that it's that debatable. somehow they label us all kind of things. again, i want to stress that immigration is good. we need immigrants. period. but we need people coming and doing it the right way. if that means changing the process and creating an easier

let them in and the aclu is taking issue with that. are they saying he doesn't have the legal right to do that? >> they are saying this is a clear violation of the immigration and nationality act which means people seeking asylum can come to this country, regardless of where they come into this country, they have the right to do so. trish: there are potential bad actors among them, gang members, et cetera. the president has expressed concerns about potential terrorists in the group. it's not exactly the moms and kids that we have heard the media describe. how do you make sure the bad ones don't get in. >> that's why we have the immigration process. also i will tell you for those who do make it in, they will go

through the process that we all know. keep in mind, they will be detained and some will be released into this country. so this is a process in place. but it goes to a bigger question and a bigger problem we have in this country, comprehensive immigration reform. not the patchwork the president wants to do. trish: he can't get to first base with congress. he can't get his wall, he can't get the funding to secure the border. he's met with all kinds of obstacles from democrats. he said look i wanted to roll out a big read carpet for those people who want to come here. he married two immigrants. i don't get how people are trying to say somehow that this is about being anti-immigrant. i think it's have much about changing the policies and having

some kind of meaningful immigration reform going forward. >> it comes down to people's lack of understanding of the laws. we have laws that allow people with meritless claims to come into this country and stay for years because of the backlogged court system. asylum is not valid if it's just for economic migration or generalized violence in their country. they need a specific claim. and the claims are getting higher and higher. in 2013, it was one out of 213 people, now it's one out of ten. they see the system that allows them to come through and stay for years without having to face deportation. >> these people are not coming here because they don't have better things to do, they are

coming here with their parents to seek a better quality life. trish: i don't see a lot of women and children. i see a lot of men carrying flags from their own countries. you know there are mothers carrying their children thousands of miles. trish: i agree with you an antod madison. but when i look at those pictures. i'm seeing a lot of young men carrying guatemalan or honduran flags. the vice president is telling my there are organized radical leftist groups out of venezuela and honduras that are assisting these care vans. they want to see these problems.

then you have got aclu getting in on the act. i would love to see some kind of meaningful reform. but instead i worry that we are getting bogged down in politics as usual. >> we needed meaningful reform long before 2018. republicans and democrats have not come together in congress. they didn't make it happen, did they. as a result of that, not only are american citizens at risk as people pour over and we don't know what they are bringing. trish: i will leave the criminal stuff aside for a second because there has been many instances of illegal immigrants actually having criminal issues. but we are going to leave that aside. i want to talk about the economic consequences of it.

trish: breaking tonight. dozens of new ballots found in broward county, florida. funny how this county has these ballot issues? earlier this year a judge ruled our county supervisor of election there violated state and federal law by destroying ballots from a 2016 congressional race too soon. get this, county supervisor rendon snipes said it was a mistake on her part. how do you get to keep that job? doesn't come along and say you violated the stuff before and you're clearly not the best housekeeper when it comes to keeping track of the vote so why do you get to stay? my question, how do we keep our election system from partisan hacks like brenda likes from being saved? we run the risk potentially that there may be malpractice going

said you will have to educate voters that they don't have to only vote in one party. when i went to vote for president trump i went to the poll in the african-american community and said wait a minute you gave me a valid and these are not the candidate i want to vote for. my candidate is not here. one of the poll workers and said this is our ballot and these are our candidates. i said ma'am, no, it's not the ballot i want. she went on and so i got very loud and my son was there to vote and his eyes stretched and i said i want to vote for donald trump, give me that ballot. that really did happen to me at the polling place. later . trish: in 2016? [inaudible conversations] >> this year in the polling place again and i asked and said i wanted to vote and they said will, what did you vote for in the primary and we don't see her name and we don't thank you can get the ballot.

i said i will call the police, governor's office and the cia, fbi and i did dialed the governor's office and became loud. they said ma'am, if you come down will give you whatever ballot you want. that actually happened. trish: doctor king, you know you're right. you are someone - i was an 18 -year-old kid and i did not know they were filling the form out for me. it struck me as off but i was a kid. you know you're right and what about people that don't? >> diversity is key. we have to get used to the fact that poll workers who we've gone through technology and some of the poll workers have been there forever and not used the technology and don't know what to do and hide the ballot try to switch them and many like the ballot in all this does go on and then they want to accuse the republican candidate of voter suppression. go and look and see what is happening in my communities was

happening right there in the polling places. we need to educate people, let people know you cannot be herded like cattle into one party. i believe we have to have reform. trish: i love to see the reform. i'm struck in new york that you don't have to show any id. i always bring up because unlike somewhere or somehow in the back of her head i'm thinking someone could be asking for my id and what do i do if i've already voted? >> that does happen, yeah. trish: doctor lb taking, we cannot allow it to happen. this is what is so integral to who we are as an american and important to the success of our country and faith in our election system. >> trish, that's why i make a personal appeal. voting is personal. i want to not have to say who they voted for but i'm willing to publicly say what i have done to let people know that you have
