a new ballgame baby. we're ready for it. >> lou: diamond and silk, we are always ready for you. thank you for being with us. great to see you. >> thank you for having us. >> lou: thank you for joining us t york. [♪] trish: a win for republicans tonight as they get one step closer to cementing a u.s. senate seat in florida. a judge just sided with governor rick scott and ordered the immediate release of information surrounding the mysterious and sudden newly found votes in democrat bill nelson's favor. we have the latest on this developing story. also new this evening. i want you to take a look at this. this is video from the u.s. borderer patrol just in. the border patrol telling us it apprehended over 400 migrants in just 48 hours. they are all crossing the border
8:01 pm
illegally and they land in western arizona where they are tonight. this as at least 4,000 migrants continue their march towards the u.s. from mexico city right now. homeland security says there are criminals amongst them. president moving to deny asylum to any migrants who come here illegally in an attempt to thwart what he calls an invasion. the aclu pushing back calling the president's proclamation an asylum ban. what? it's not a ban. they still can apply for asylum. they just have to do it the right way. deepak chopra on the growing incivility on the climate we live the in right now. "trish regan primetime" begins right now.
8:02 pm
republicans in florida may be getting a little bit closer to seeing their candidate, rick scott, become an official u.s. senator. a florida judge siding with scott. scott says election officials are manipulating mid-term results in broward county by hiding information about the number of votes cast and the number of votes counts. foxconn firming bags much uncounts early ballots have just been found in that same county. no precise number has been given. but it's expected to be under 100 balance lots total. -- ballots total. this is kind of wild. all these votes are turning up out of thin air. i don't know why they are not counting them to begin with. >> governor scott soon to be senator scott went to the bed
8:03 pm
with a 60,000 vote lead. all of a sudden you see that lead come down to 16,000. they can't explain where the ballots came from. it's inexcusable. she was rebuked by a judge and rightfully so. trish: the woman at the center of the controversy has a habit of suddenly finding things. >> you look back at her history. in 2016 she illegally destroyed ballots. she also illegally announced election results 30 minutes before the polls closed. in 2016 she admitted that she allowed illegal immigrants to vote and some felons to vote in broward county and this happened under her watch. now here we are with brenda snipes at the of all this. the ballot magician needs to go.
8:04 pm
she is corrupt, potentially income tent or maybe a little bit of both. trish: what i find most of disturbing about this is our elections are the pride of our country in has been all this talk about the russians and how they may have manipulated things. to listen to some folks out there you would think they broke into the voting machines. we know that didn't happen. but when i look at what's going only in broward county, when i look at the rinky dink operations where they are suddenly finding votes, maybe they are stashed under her december sock where. it makes me scratch my head and wonder what kind of protections we have in place because it's not just this election, we have 2020 on the horizon. if americans can't trust the system in which they elect their representatives, then we don't
8:05 pm
have a lot. >> the real threat appears to be not the russians. but what you just said. internally. some of these polling locations, the allegations are many. you have senator rubio very well respected. reasonable guy month tweeted out there is an allegation in palm beach county under penalty of perjury that they were taking ballots filled out incorrectly instead of filled in with a black ball point penn and they were remaking ballots without any supervision. it's incredible. we need to look into this. trish: we most of definitely do. talk to me about the significance of what the judge did tonight. this enables the republicans to see what the votes were and are that are suddenly coming forward in broward county.
8:06 pm
>> as of 7:10 w.m. congressman matt gaetz was reporting they were still not being given the records. brenda snipes' attorney said no i will not listen to this judge. it's time for the secretary of state to take over. if she won't comply with the judge's order, someone else needs to come in. we need to know what's going on there. trish: what do you think is going on? >> i think there is wrongdoing. she has a long storied history of corruption. there is something going on here. you shouldn't have to be rebuked by a judge more than three times. if you are, something is happening, i believe there could be fraud in here. but we'll get answers in the next now days. trish: why is she still in the position? >> it's a great question.
8:07 pm
i don't know. but she should not be in this position. i think that's very clear. i hope governor desantis removes her promptly. trish: we are waiting to find out what those extra hundred votes are coming in. it's a tight tight race right now. new video meanwhile tonight showing the extreme lengths migrants are taking to get to our soil. take a look at this. this is video that came to us from the u.s. borderer patrol. they are going through tunnels. if you can take a look at that. you can see them going through tunnels. they did tell us that they caught 450 migrants this week alone in western arizona. and these major caravans attempt to descend on our country, up to 4,000 people, it's clear there are lots of small ones coming in
8:08 pm
every day. 450 people caught in western arizona just in the last 48 hours. president trump trying to stop this influx by signing a proclamation changing aasylum rules. the president is trying to clamp down on this. he wants to limit asylum. let me start by saying do these people coming here, do they even care what their status is? do they care they won't be able to apply for asylum. don't they just want to get mere period? isn't that the goal? >> they can apply for asylum but they have to do it at a port of entry. they still can apply for asylum. but if they are escaping fear and persecution. trish: they can't apply if they
8:09 pm
come here illegally. now, if you want to apply for asylum you are welcome to do that, you just have to do it the right way. i'm asking, is it really going to change the number of migrants that come here. will we see the caravan dwindle down? i just don't know if it's going to do enough. >> it's not doing that much. you were right when you said, look at the data. 91% of the people who claim asylum lose their case in the long end. if they are escaping fear and persecution from honduras, they are two countries away. they can apply for asylum in mexico. it's about get to the united states to get a better life. fox news had reporters embed with them and they said i am
8:10 pm
come together united states for a better life. unfortunately that doesn't qualify for asylum laws. trish: i get that. and i would like to see a change in immigration rules where we bring the good people in. good people who won't come here and engage in any kind of criminal activity or live off the american taxpayer. then hey, bring them in. we need them. however, however, this is not the way to go about it. it's just not. we learned from the mexican government, sir, that they are actually refusing, refusing the mexican government's offer of asylum. what does that tell you? and can they really do that? if you are an asylum seeker? >> my first question of the asylum officer, if you are
8:11 pm
escaping persecution in honduras, why didn't you accept protection in mexico because you are two countries away from that danger. you are right. i will never say all these people are committing fraud. there are people, at least 9% who do win their cases and have a valid fear of persecution. but most of of them are taking advantage of a broken system. you can't want to be part of the great just country on earth and not respect its laws. do it the right way and go through the port of entry. trish: it doesn't seem that it's that debatable. somehow they label us all kind of things. again, i want to stress that immigration is good. we need immigrants. period. but we need people coming and doing it the right way. if that means changing the process and creating an easier
8:12 pm
system for the good ones. i think that's what the president said he wants to do, right? >> here is a good part of this. if they go through the port of entry, they are protected by law enforcement. they won't be robbed. women won't be raped. you also take the money out of the hand of the criminal cartels that smuggle them into the united states. the family are safe in a government facility. so the left should love this. trish: we should be able to see the left and the right contact. but unfortunately in the world we are in, and deepak chopra
8:13 pm
will be here to help us work through some of that. but the world we are in, nothing sensible gets done. it's all politics. >> they are getting due process, but they have to do it the legal way. everybody who shows up at the port of entry, they will have the opportunity to make their claim. do it the right way. we'll hear your claim and the judge will make the determination in the long run. but if you don't qualify, you have to go home. ignore it and become a fugitive and have a u.s. citizen kid, and in 10 years when i.c.e. find you, people say why do you arrest someone who has a u.s. citizen child. trish: incentive and disincentive. we don't want to incentivize
8:14 pm
people to come here the wrong way. the aclu wrongly calling the president's asylum proclamation an asylum ban. it's not a ban. it's merely the president telling migrants, you are going to have to play by the rules. you will have to request asylum through our port of entries. you can't illegally cross into our country first. more fallout from florida's recount battle. she says vote mare manipulation goes both ways. and what deepak chopra has to say about the incivility we are watching tonight in this country. he's
8:15 pm
8:17 pm
8:18 pm
8:19 pm
thousands more approach our southern border. this evening the president is attempting to thwart this what he calls invasion by issuing a presidential proclamation refusing these migrants' right to obtain asylum because they came here illegally. the aclu firing back, filing a lawsuit to challenge the president's proclamation. they say he can't do that. that it's in fact a ban. joining me right now, 2020 trump am pain manager. and the department of homeland security says there are criminals and bad acros -- acton the caravan. the president doesn't want to
8:20 pm
let them in and the aclu is taking issue with that. are they saying he doesn't have the legal right to do that? >> they are saying this is a clear violation of the immigration and nationality act which means people seeking asylum can come to this country, regardless of where they come into this country, they have the right to do so. trish: there are potential bad actors among them, gang members, et cetera. the president has expressed concerns about potential terrorists in the group. it's not exactly the moms and kids that we have heard the media describe. how do you make sure the bad ones don't get in. >> that's why we have the immigration process. also i will tell you for those who do make it in, they will go through the process that we all
8:21 pm
know. keep in mind, they will be detained and some will be released into this country. so this is a process in place. but it goes to a bigger question and a bigger problem we have in this country, comprehensive immigration reform. not the patchwork the president wants to do. trish: he can't get to first base with congress. he can't get his wall, he can't get the funding to secure the border. he's met with all kinds of obstacles from democrats. he said look i wanted to roll out a big read carpet for those people who want to come here. he married two immigrants. i don't get how people are trying to say somehow that this is about being anti-immigrant. i think it's have much about changing the policies and having
8:22 pm
some kind of meaningful immigration reform going forward. >> it comes down to people's lack of understanding of the laws. we have laws that allow people with meritless claims to come into this country and stay for years because of the backlogged court system. asylum is not valid if it's just for economic migration or generalized violence in their country. they need a specific claim. and the claims are getting higher and higher. in 2013, it was one out of 213 people, now it's one out of ten. they see the system that allows them to come through and stay for years without having to face deportation. >> these people are not coming here because they don't have better things to do, they are coming here with their parents
8:23 pm
to seek a better quality life. trish: i don't see a lot of women and children. i see a lot of men carrying flags from their own countries. you know there are mothers carrying their children thousands of miles. trish: i agree with you an antod madison. but when i look at those pictures. i'm seeing a lot of young men carrying guatemalan or honduran flags. the vice president is telling my there are organized radical leftist groups out of venezuela and honduras that are assisting these care vans. they want to see these problems.
8:24 pm
then you have got aclu getting in on the act. i would love to see some kind of meaningful reform. but instead i worry that we are getting bogged down in politics as usual. >> we needed meaningful reform long before 2018. republicans and democrats have not come together in congress. they didn't make it happen, did they. as a result of that, not only are american citizens at risk as people pour over and we don't know what they are bringing. trish: i will leave the criminal stuff aside for a second because there has been many instances of illegal immigrants actually having criminal issues. but we are going to leave that aside. i want to talk about the economic consequences of it.
8:25 pm
antjuan, how do we say we can take care of you? that is economically not smart. >> you don't have disagreement with plea. we need comprehensive immigration reform. the president had a tremendous opportunity le graham'' had a bill and it was rejected. mccain did the same thing. trish: lovely to see you, antjuan. and madison, good to have you in the house. ballots mysteriously turning up in broward county, florida. coaching means making tough choices.
8:26 pm
8:29 pm
8:30 pm
trish: breaking tonight. dozens of new ballots found in broward county, florida. funny how this county has these ballot issues? earlier this year a judge ruled our county supervisor of election there violated state and federal law by destroying ballots from a 2016 congressional race too soon. get this, county supervisor rendon snipes said it was a mistake on her part. how do you get to keep that job? doesn't come along and say you violated the stuff before and you're clearly not the best housekeeper when it comes to keeping track of the vote so why do you get to stay? my question, how do we keep our election system from partisan hacks like brenda likes from being saved? we run the risk potentially that there may be
