whether the white house or cnn wins the lawsuit over the revoking of the hard pass over one jim acosta. we'll see you tomorrow, right here along with corey lewandowski, and david bossie, good night. trish: fame-loving attorney, michael avenatti, in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. lapd said his bail has been set at $50,000. we have team coverage for you. you will never believe what his excuse was allegedly when confronted by authorities. we have the legal implications as well as the political. i imagine this could not bode well for his presidential aspirations. the democrats accusing republicans of stealing the elections in georgia. >>n if stacey abrams doesn't win
8:01 pm
in georgia, they stole it, it's clear, it's clear. >> if she had a fair election, she would have already won. trish: as migrants arrive just miles from san diego in tijuana, mexico, general mattis is at the border rallying our troops. the president calls this an invasion. what does this mean for it in action? one of the president's top advisors, larry kudlow, is here tonight on why he expects the president to win four more years in 2020. and i'll be getting his reaction to the breaking avenatti news. "trish regan primetime" begins next. michael avenatti is in police custody in los angeles. the lawyer for the adult film

actress stormy daniels arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, this according to the lapd. tmz reports avenatti was hauled in after an incident with a woman yesterday that left her quote swollen and briewtds. the site reports after the confrontation avenatti repeatedly screamed, she hit me first. moments ago avenatti denying the claim in a statement that says i wish to thank the hard working men and women of l.a.p.d. for their professionalism. they were only doing their jobs in light of the completely bogus allegations against me. i have never been physically abusive in my life, nor was i last night. mr. avenatti has attracted a lot of admiration for many in the

mainstream media, including manyn at msnbc for his representation of stormy daniels. joining me now, arizona congressman andy biggs. i didn't think i would be talking about this with you tonight. your thoughts on michael avenatti and these allegations and the fact he's in police custody in l.a. this evening being held on a $50,000 bail. >> any time you have a dough mess particulars relations issue of it can be hard to sort out. but this is a felony charge that he's been charged with, and the bail is fairly stout. you know, if his best defense is she hit me first, that's not the best defense here. it's not going to carry water typically. trish: there is a rule, you never hit a woman.
8:04 pm
i have a 6-year-old son and two 8-year-old daughters. sometimes it's not fair because they are bigger and strong than him. i still maintain, he knows the rules, i can never hit a girl. these are things you just should learn as saad child growing up. i hope to god he didn't do what is alleged to have happened. but the man this custody this evening in lax. >> they are probably circling the water heading down the tubes. it will be tough, quite frankly. trish: he was a hero of the left, right? we were looking through some clips of msnbc anchors saying this guy is doing such a service for women, and blah, blah, blah. he's denying these allegations.
8:05 pm
but from what we read this far from what tmz is reporting, it certainly doesn't look good. if allegations are true, he certainly is not any kind of champion of women. let me turn to georgia. because we have got a lot going on in the election cycle. 24 hours until the recount deadline in florida. and democrats are turning their attention to georgia where they are claiming without any evidence that the republicans stole the race from democratic gubernatorial candidate stacey abrams. watch this. i want the viewer to see it. >> if stacey abrams doesn't win in georgia, they stole it. it's clear. >> if she had a fair election she already would have won. trish: wow. you see how this works. when they don't win, somehow the russians stole it, somebody has
8:06 pm
to have stolen it. what's your thought? >> the hypocrisy is gigantic. hillary clinton is still beefing about the russians. they have done everything they can to delegit nice president trump's election. now they will delegit nice the georgia governor's election. i find myself baffled it's the symptom of the west for democrats to wage this as a war and republicans as a process. trish: mcsally lost the close senate race ins *. i don't hear you saying this was somehow stolen from her, and this is your home state. >> right. absolutely. the trajectory always was a narrowing of the gap, and then a

moving ahead of krysten sinema. in georgia the trajectory has always been for the republican and against the democrats. now we'll find ballots in strange places and creates ballots and create votes. trish: the one thing we have got or thought we had, was the integrity of the our system. for people to be fund mining that is traj - -- for people toe undermining that is tragic. the first wave of care strand migrants are in tijuana, mexico, a few miles south of san diego, california. here with me now the border patrol council president, brandon judd. they are in tijuana. we now have general mattis going
8:08 pm
down there to comfort perhaps answer rally some of these troops that are having to protect our border. where is this heading? >> thank goodness for people like general mattis and president trump sending the troops that are necessary for to us be able to secure the border in the face of so many people at one time coming up. you know, when he says it's an invasion, how can you not call it anything but an invasion when you have so many people assaulting our borderers at one time. it's very appreciated. the border patrol agents are appreciative of the support he has been giving us in order for to us secure the border. trish: 6,000 troops are there now it's a large geographic area. is 6,000 going to do it? >> it's definitely going to be
8:09 pm
helpful. we have to have them there to be our eyes for when they do come across in large numbers and it takes our agents. they fill in the gaps so our eyes can put us in on the gaps. a lot of this is organized crime driven -- they are forcing individuals to cross the border illegally instead of through ports of entry which shows they have absolutely no regard for our laws. the first thing they are doing upon coming to our country is break our laws. a lot of this is cartel controlled. they force them across the border illegally which depletes our resources from the field. that's what the military steps in and does. they see what's going on. trish: are they going to port of entry in tijuana? the president said you are not going to get amnesty if you
8:10 pm
don't come through the proper channels. are you encouraged some of them are trying to do that in tijuana? >> there is always going to be a few. you have got to remember, to process that's people at a post entry takes a great deal of resources. there is going to be a backlog or a line. a lot of these people don't want to wait in the line. just like they don't want to come here legally. then they cross the border illegally and it takes our resources out of the field, and it doesn't allow to us then try to interdict the higher priced contraband like opioids or aliens from special interest countries or even criminal aliens like we have recently seen, the crimes perpetrated against arson. >> the crimes that are perpetrated against our system. you have got your work cut out for you there.

8:22 pm
was a nationalist. i as a black woman do not want to continue to have this conversation. trish: what does nationalist mean to you. >> it means someone who is a white supremacist and someone who is racist. there is a different between nationalism and being a patriot. there is a difference between that. but i want to say i do not feel it is beneficial for the african-american community to continue to focus on the receipt rub we are hearing from the president. i don't want to talk about this racist comments. i want to talk about what are we going to do to address systematic racism in this country. i want to talk about policies to address the racism in our criminal justice system. trish: female unemployment numbers the lowest in quite some time. hispanic unemployment numbers. to me, i get his rhetoric is not

3% economic growth. budget numbers will be out in due course in the next couple months. but it's funny. i have seen this argument that the slowing down 3.5% is not fast enough. a lot of people would die for 3.5% growth. but the thing i want to say is look, we have this whoching employment number, 250,000. we have had tremendous ism reports. confidence, small business confidence is near record highs. consumer confidence is near record highs. let's not forget that the fundamentals look very good. whatever happens in bouncing around quarter by square. the reality is we are running a steamy hot economy. i think american entrepreneurs and workers are crushing it.
