sanders is trying to sell. listen anytime the word free comes up people should pause and take note because nothing is free. there are costs for goods and services and americans are not stupid. what you don't want is for the government to be involved, to control really your health care needs and services because when the costs skyrocket what they are going to do is rationalize health care. they will be picking and choosing how and when you should get coverage and by whom. liz: i have talked to brain surgeons, i've talked to breast cancer surgeons, i've talked to nurses. they all say he single-payer would be the worst thing to hit this country. we understand we want to take care of the poor absolutely and get them the care they need. they keep saying this is not the way to do it to have the government control your health care. the sandersville was with -- would wipe out existing insurance and would replace

everything across-the-board. we would be reporting to the government. >> is certainly think it's a delicate issue and the numbers you have presented their eye think it indicates that health care policies are complicated. to look at the numbers of support for the affordable care act those are numbers from obamacare. this is the same bill so i think the nomenclature that we use is complicated number one. liz: how about the truth that it is single-payer and it's government-run health care. i think people if you call it a nice soft name like medicare for all, it it's not that. replaces all the insurance across the country, any insurance you have got. >> i think what people are coming to terms with his if you are loved one gets sick you shouldn't have to go bankrupt to get them the treatment that they need under the single-payer system or medicare for all system i don't know the specifics of what bernie sanders is introducing but i think that

understanding is starting to resonate with the american people. liz: dineen people say the cost is so high because the government dominates half of the health care industry in the majority of the time they are doing paperwork and not treating patients. your take on this. >> sure that's going to come down to what kind of service that you get as well. when you have the likes of bernie sanders trying to push it saying what they are doing is misleading americans americans. they are putting them on the wrong page and not presenting the facts of them. i think it's really important for folks to realize and recognize what bernie sanders and those who are in support of single-payer what this really boils down to. it comes down to the government, the bureaucrats picking and choosing for you and your family how and when you should get coverage or services from doctors and hospitals.

learn more at standard lithium com. liz: let's get to breaking news about michael cohen and paul manafort. fox news leland vittert has the latest. >> high liz we will start with paul manafort. this is how the government is alleging that manafort broke his plea agreement with the special counsel's office. they alleged that he lied not

only about his contacts with administration officials saying he didn't tell the special counsel's office when he was talking to the administration, lied about his discussions with a russian political consultant, light about a wire transfer information related to another doj investigation. specifically what those lies were and how in the words of the government they are discernible lies, we don't know. so much of it is black now. for example after being told of such evidence manafort conceded that he and his russian political operative discussed or may have discussed blank at each meeting. therein lies the difficulty in trying to figure out exactly what they are accusing manafort of lying about with the government saying they don't need the plea agreement to abide anymore. the next issue is michael cohen the government conceding that michael collins the attorney and fixer did provide a lot of help to the government. this coming from the special

counsel's office detailing cohen's cooperation with the government. his assistance has been useful first to defend the providing information about his own contacts with russian interests during the campaign and in discussion with others and of course making those contacts. it also notes in a footnote that cohen said he talked multiple times to donald trump about reaching out to the russian government. that is a connection in what we are learning out of the cohen plea agreement. no worth the liz this all started a couple of weeks ago. we got a first look at the michael flynn plea agreement. he was a national security adviser to donald trump had been flipped and pled guilty and robert mueller had extensive operation -- in my room or the special counsel's office of a thoughtful incorporated so much and had been so helpful that he should not have any prison time at all.

that is not what they are saying about michael cohen and that's obviously not what they are saying about paul manafort. they said not only should he go to jail but he lied to them and therefore they want to rip up his plea agreement. liz: letwin vittert thank you so much for coming in. for his reaction let's get to bill mckern. let's laid out quickly. here's what we know right now. let's get first to cohen. mueller says cohen indicated that russia tried to reach trump and his side of the aisle in early 2015. now we get to manafort. manafort had interaction with the russian associate. that russian associate head ties to the russian military and the military was attacking the democrats. looks like on the one-sided at its cohen talking about the trump tower in moscow and manafort cited that is showing up the trump tower to talk about accessing dirt on hillary.

>> every couple of months we get new information that implies without definitely proving that trump worked with the russians to affect the election. i'm old-fashioned. with the special counsel i still believe it should in pursuit of a crime. the crime is not talking the talk. the crime would be if he said to the russians okay i will work with used to help you. you hacked them or just any kind of cooperation. we are a long ways from that. a lot of teasing kinds of things michael cohen has obviously been blabbing now and the special counsel still wasn't happy with the information that is getting. do i think trump is in trouble? i don't think he's in trouble on the russia france. i do think with michael cohen, the payments that stormy daniels

made could be considered a campaign violation. it could possibly them the impeachment for that. that's up to congress. it would be hard to prove in court i think. i don't know we have a lot of details. seems after all these months of investigation where seeing it coming to an end. the issue that he he was set to investigate was russian interference in the 2016 election and whether donald trump conspired with the russians to do that. liz: but then he was given a broader -- . >> we are talking about deals. it might be another thing is the deal actually came through but with all these why didn't donald trump go ahead? liz: let's get to more news of the day. james comey gets groped by republicans even saying we are talking about the hillary clinton e-mails again? he complained about that. >> i mean look, james comey got

off lightly this week. if you look at his filing quashing the subpoena from the house, the idea that he could dictate the terms he wanted. he wanted to talk in public for two reasons. one i can answer that because of national security but also what congress wanted him to do was to give a deposition in a public hearing. members get five minutes. you can dodge the question to the deposition keeps going until they run out of questions. liz: and want to get to the clinton foundation because this looks like quite a case. three whistleblowers, hundreds of pages of evidence alleging there was pay-to-play and bill clinton used it as a personal piggy bank. your take on this. >> look at it. the fbi investigation was so corrupt in the deal that they made. the memo that rod rosenstein wrote for why james comey should be fired still holds up today. it was outrageous for him to give that press conference that

earth but there is the right way do it in a wrong way to do it. you can't run the greatest country on this earth and respect -- not respect the laws. we are a nation of laws and labor rights protect our borders. liz: sanctuary cities are a real threat. >> sanctuary cities are a danger to the public. to knowingly breach up -- release them back into the public is wrong. it's important removed and not only from the community but the country. the criminal aliens in jail are going to victimize the communities they live in which is the immigrant community and they can't arrest that bad guy in a county jail. sanctuary cities do not protect immigrant communities and put them at greater risk of crime.

cohen. foreign' advisor papadopoulos. we are starting to see some of the results of the investigation come in. liz: the smoke around michael cohen saying the trump tower moscow project was used as leverage by the russians over trump. your take on that. again, i'm trying to diligently follow all of this because i have to talk about this on a regular basis. some of the information is just now coming out. my concern is now i think americans are being misled here, liz. it's unfortunate. it's like they are trying to find a crime and then they will try to figure out all the other back end of it. it's like they are being proven innocents before they are proven guilty. my head is spinning with all of this.
