the negotiations between party leaders had not been happening to you typically see. a number of lawmakers in both parties are trying to work out a deal. the current proposal include a combination of funding for the wall and a number of other immigration provisions. that they support. the hope is that those conditions could be enough to get a deal. but that was also the hope with a bipartisan immigration deal. i think we been here before. i was in the room when the president said if congress passes something i'm going to sign it. and that he moved then he moved back away from that. we do need comprehensive immigration reform. there's no doubt about that.
