the cartels of operational control of the borders. the american citizens are less secure and immigrants, migrants seeking to come to the united states are endangered. my own district in texas 21, san antonio, jared vargas, an american citizen was murdered last july. unnecessarily by an illegal immigrant. his mother lori and his aunt kristen, his twin brother and sister are now without their wonderful family member because we refuse to do a basic duty as a sovereign nation to secure the border. nancy pelosi knows the american people are tired of it and they are targeting women, little girls getting sold into the sex trafficking trade. that's was happening because we put our heads in the sand, both sides of the aisle frankly. -- >> am asking this because i think there is something to the idea that there is so much chaos and uncertainty at the border. both physical and political, that it is in some ways, a magnet. but what if the border wall doesn't cut down on narco

narcotics coming across the border between the ports of entry. but the bill also by the way, provide $600 million for intervention at points of entry. includes $800 million humanitarian relief. more beds, more immigration judges.all of which is necessary -- >> again, all of the stuff you're talking about, i think there is an absolute need for it. i think part of the humanitarian crisis is legislatively forced. but you are talking about 16 things before you even get to the wall. and all of the things, you have areas of common ground with democrats. so can you find a rational person on the other side of your political wall who sees the same laundry list? >> i would come back to say the wall is a necessary part of the entire security process. you and i agree and i think a lot of democrats agree. in fact democrats have voted multiple times for this. what's happening is democrats

are to your point, about the state of the union, trying to make a political issue out of this. christ being big fat hypocrites and they do not want the same thing to happen to them when there's a republican controlled house and a democrat president. which will happen. i don't know when, but it will happen.>> that's right. $5.6 billion. that is what we are asking for it to have fencing, more immigration judges, were technologies in the things that will work. again, talk to border patrol agents. >> i do! i like them, i think they're nice and they are leaving because it can be a suck job. >> are asking them to a job without the resources they need. >> have to go unfortunately, but i want to ask this quickly. because you are from texas, your district covers a lot of the area where there could be eminent domain lawsuits. and you know, i've seen quite a bit on social media from ranchers who have had farmland for generations. who refused to give it up to the government and will not

acquiesce to a government taking and will take it as far and as long as they possibly can through the court systems to protect their property rights. what you have to say them? >> there a lot of ranches that think we need border security and fencing and walls. start in brownsville, work up the border. when you get to renter that doesn't want to, leave a space let them have cattle get to the water, put up cameras, get to the next ranch. moved to laredo and el paso playlists stop having excuses to escape 234 miles or fencing where it needs to be built. let's get the stuff in place necessary to take operational control of the border. so little girls don't get sold into sex trade and we have the ability to secure american citizens. this is common sense, i'm tired of excuses and so are the american people. >> thank you so much. >> thank you, kennedy. >> how far away are we from a compromise? that is a $64,000 question. at least the two sides are kind

i can be really hard on republicans when it comes to immigration. but i think democrats could do a little bit more. you know, when chip roy talks about the stink, he talks about clearing the cane and having drones and border security and more beds and easily humanitarian crisis, i mean, you and some of your friends on the left how to listen and say yeah! i totally see this. and isn't that a way out of this whole thing? >> a few things. first of all what to say, a great interview. i was sitting here and you're making all my talking points. first, i really, i get so annoyed and being on boards of committees regarding human sex trafficking, thinking that we'll have a border with mexico. we have four quarters and people really just google the numbers on sex trafficking and how many are going over or under the border of mexico and elsewhere. so the irritates me.

when he says secure the fence act nancy pelosi was one of those democrats voted no for that by the way. when you look at what democrats have agreed to give 1.3 billion that addresses a lot of what he says and it's a start. you don't need to build the wall, drones and a wall do not help with three tunnels, just three in the last three days that were covered. it'll help with 790 kilos that came in through the port in pennsylvania, the largest cocaine bust in 10 years. it does not help with that. if we want, and we need, a competence of immigration reform package, that includes extreme border security that is effective. this is ineffective. and if he says we get to the ranchers house, if they don't want to just leave a whole! then there goes the wall. and do your point about el chapo, they didn't go through any of the checkpoints. and you can watch narcos

for a suicide bomb attack in syria. unfortunately it killed four americans at least including two of our service personnel. this is video of the attack. happen in a restaurant. on a very busy street. the president met with his national security team. several republican senators at the white house to discuss the situation. south carolina senator lindsey graham, says it could complicate the presence plan to withdraw troops from syria. annie is no doubt isis did it.

to president trump and george w. bush. christian white. welcome back. >> great to be here, kennedy. >> do you disagree with lindsey graham on this? >> i do. and is fairly outrageous that he is using this as an excuse or justification to get what he's always wanted. which is to get america involved in a syria civil war. not just to kill isis and reduce it but actually start getting and choosing winners and losers within the circle. how does lindsey graham know what motivated isis today? it just as likely they attacked us because i think that is the way to keep america involved? because frankly, if we are there then aside and the russians are prohibited from going in and cleaning out the remnants of isis. also, if we are then then the kurds will not cut a political deal with a side. which is what they will likely i think donald trump sees passes and will bring the troops home. >> does this do anything to withdrawal timeline? >> i really don't think so.

you do have a lot of preening on capitol hill. and that is what senators and congressmen do. they go out and they say we should be more cautious about this. we should not do that.if there right they look like they can see the future and if they are wrong, no one seems to ever care. but donald trump i think is committed to this. it's interesting to me that in the several weeks since trump first denies that there has not been a clear pole of the american people. do you agree or disagree with bringing the troops home? and i described that conspiracy theories, there's overwhelming for drawing down in afghanistan. it is the right thing to do policy wise. in his great politics for the president. >> is long overdue.and we have not had a present stand up with clear objectives in afghanistan or syria. not to mention the rest of the middle east. and now it is a very good job of describing what victory looks like.and i think it is quite problematic. i think it isinteresting that senator rand paul , has taken some heat for covering for the president on this and other foreign policy issues.

but he is making the point that you can be strong and noninterventionist all at the same time. that's what the president is doing. do you agree with that assessment? >> i think so. what are we going to accomplish in afghanistan another year or two that we have not accomplished in the 18 years since 9/11? what could we be doing with that 50 or $60 billion if you add up afghanistan, iraq and syria? we could use it to deter a much greater threat which is china were actually cut taxes and reduce spending. if you look again at what graham and cheney and others are saying, you know they are terrorist, jihadist we cannot get out. if that is a criteria then we will be at war forever. >> what you think about john bolton? >> he's cautious about removing forces. it does give commander-in-chief flexibility to have them there but also ultimately i think he wants the donald trump presidency to be successful. and i think he also understands again, we can adjust our policy

every decade or so. in the days after 9/11 it may have made sense to do cowboys and indians engulfed any big jihadist threat out there. but we have other concerns now. and again, if the criteria is, had to stay, there is just a terrorist attack in kenya. when do we go to kenya? >> thank you so much. i appreciate it. have some historical perspective. so why is the first wave being unkind? >> i wish it was good reason. there's plenty on civil liberties and more in particular for obama. he ran on -- if you look at polls or not democrats are more pro-war and pro-intervention the republicans right now. that is a crazy thing. they are attacking obama because he did not go full $15 an hour. he did not go full bernie economics on things. that is not the good reason to attack obama. attack him because he did not follow things democrats are supposed to care about. >> and he claimed to be passionate and authentic about. >> donald trump will probably pardon more people than he did them barack obama. >> and he is supporting fewer people which, the whole thing doesn't make sense.

but when you look at the data is a verydifferent story. so with bernie sanders phenomenon, when we are sitting there at the dnc , that wasn't the end of the democratic. that was the beginning. it was really the beginning of a split in the party.how do they heal it? >> they need to start doing that but the problem is, look, alexandria ocasio-cortez, for all of her fault that i might philosophically disagree with, she appeals to young rotors, susan instagram and being relatable. but she is getting too far ahead of her so. i think she sees the rockstar phenomenon. she has all of his followers, had a huge upset win and was the bernie factor almost when reality, she needs to start uniting the party. like you pointed out. this is a time for them to do a little bit of what nancy pelosi is doing and sort of play the game. >> devin democrats socialist to say the same thing. she's to focus more on the mission and less on herself. which is tough to do when everyone is saying --

they confuse goods versus rights. rights think as you wish, you think publish what you say, self-defense, associate or not associate, privacy, travel, right to own property. those rights come from our humanity. the government does not create them. the constitution negates the ability of the government to interfere with them. what beto o'rourke and company want our positive rights. they would enshrined in the constitution the obligation of the government, the government doesn't own anything. the obligation of the government to provide goods like an education, healthcare, a gym membership and broccoli. those are not rights, their goods. but in the world of beto o'rourke, by calling them rights, it seems that government should provide them. so he is rejecting -- >> government is providing them. that means i have to get them
