offers. the president laid out a compromise to fund his border wall and concede the issues that dems have advocated for. >> democrats are brushing off the latest from donald trump. he offered 5.7 for border security, more agents, technology and immigration judges, in exchange for a three year extension for daca recipients. president was quick to say this is not amnesty, just protection or extended protection. democrats doing a lot of talking at each other, but not with each other. >> we have an existing border wall, democrats have funded it for previous presidents including president obama. there's no reason to turn it down. particularly will more compromising on things they want. >> let's get on regular order

lives at risk. what are democrats suggesting we do about it? do you have any idea? >> i have not heard any proposal whatsoever from democrats in recent weeks. nothing to solve the crisis of border security that is continuing. we have really serious problems with a large number of illegal immigrants in the country. a small fraction are causing real public safety problems. it's clear immigration enforcement agencies need more resources. >> david: what is also clear, is that we do not have an answer from democrats about any of it. it leads one to believe that they don't think it's a problem. either problem of innocent americans being killed by illegal immigrants, are the thousands of illegal immigrants

on the way to the border. >> you can't help but get that impression. they're not interested in addressing this problem. they have different priorities. the reason for this is that they personally are not affected by immigration. they are not worried about living in an area where ms13 is rampant. they are not worried about a town manager trying to accommodate the issue of more arrivals who get caught and released into towns across the country. they are much more interested in trying to deny the trump administration the ability to solve the problems or at least make progress on these problems. we talked about parts of our laws that need to be changed.

>> jessica, what is clear, the problems that we are seeing around the country and in the border, even in mexico themselves. the people of tijuana and other places in mexico along the border, their dissatisfaction and the degree to which they are fed up with the immigrants in their town sort of explains to a lot of people how difficult it is when immigrants overwhelm your capacity to take care of it. so, everybody except the small group of individuals seem to understand is a problem. i think eventually americans are going to force a change in a movement on the airport, don't you? >> i hope so. it is an urgent problem. i don't think the democrats can sustain the reputation for being in denial about these problems.

they were wearing hats out of pro-life march in washington, d.c. they were approached by special interest groups. one of which was a group of african-americans who had an agenda of their own and made insulting remarks. they were followed by an indian group that approach these people wearing the hats. it was not the other way around. that's not the way you heard it. if you're watching the news media you heard these people were approaching and in the face of the indians. it was the other way around. what you make of that? >> i find it sad and sickening that the very fake news on the left continue to push a gossett narrative that have everybody reacting to lies. you know what? i remember when they took and tried to get rid of was this guy's name, the info wars they got rid of him because they said he was spreading conspiracy theories why are they still on television and on social media

capitalist. some of his predecessors have been more capitalist. he is going the other direction. i'm wondering how much is affecting his slowdown. >> the economy has been mismanaged. it's probably been propped up by borrowing. look, this is a country that has spent billions of dollars on ghost town full of apartment blocks. these were makework jobs. it's where china spent all this money to create jobs for people. >> i heard a stat today that china, in the past ten years has use more cement than the united states has used in the entire 20th century. a lot of that is going to these phantom buildings that have nobody living in them. that switch to north korea. they are up to no good. they have a ballistic testing

site. what do we do? do we tighten the screws tougher? we never completely lifted up on them, right? >> i don't want to use the word fake news on this. the fact that csis did not know about the missile site, did not know that the cia didn't mean about it. north korea has not yet turned over its declaration of its nuclear missile biological and chemical facilities. we will ask them to do that. i assume the first version will not be complete. we will keep working with them. we get a report about secret sites almost every month. let's see what happens in negotiations. >> david: we never stop maximum pressure, did we? we always get the screws on even as we talk nicely to the north koreans, even visited them once. we never stopped really applying the pressure. do we tighten it up further now?

>> i don't know what the missile report means. i don't think it means anything. the problem is, the south koreans in the chinese, they have let up the pressure. we need to keep the screws on them, until we get a dealer at least some type of legitimate concessions by the north and the nuclear talks. >> what about meeting in vietnam? do you think it's a wise idea based on everything else going on north korea? >> originally the understanding was there would not be a meeting between the north korean and u.s. until north korea made significant changes. now the purpose of this meeting is to get him to reconfirm his commitment and give dates on when he will start making specific concessions. i think it's a good move. this is hard. the north koreans are used to a pliable united states. this is a different administration. i think this is the way to go.

>> david: i heard china just gave them another unlimited amounts of money. several billion dollar loan for god knows what project. none of it will make it to the people. it is probably highway that will be used by ten vips in the communist party per day. when does china give up on north korea? >> it's a big problem. the south koreans are just as bad. they're undermining what were trying to do by letting the pressure up on the north. it's in china's interest to stop the north korean nuclear program. eventually there will be an underground test that leaks radiation that drifts into china. china has to work with us on this. >> david: is also in china's interest to make life tough for us in the region, right? >> that is sort of the dilemma. we have made progress on that earlier with the chinese. i think we need to keep talking
