shutdown season is still upon us. what strikes you about the senate vote today? >> i think mitch mcconnell set up the president. he has scheduling power. he let them go on the floor not all that he let republicans break from the republican stance and vote for it. kind of a warning sign to the president. the white house at the same time already, there are moderates in the white house leaking to political saying the white house is breaking no one knows what to do. put them in a bind and it's difficult but it shows you how doug and everyone is, nancy pelosi up there talking about all the democratic things governments, workers getting paid, food stamps all the different programs and she's willing to sacrifice that for the people of honduras, it's an interesting stance that she's got. >> why doesn't she come to the table? that's the thing i don't understand. >> # resist. >> but they will only last so long and then it will start to run into problems. but what does it say about the

congressional democrats. and they have to be careful because the numbers picking up and the number for congressional republicans is ticking down. but i'm hopeful about the copper was billed as a smart wall situation where democrats can say, we are for border security and get you paid and trump doesn't get exactly the thing that he says. but if you listen to bill bennett on the floor of the house today, senator going after ted cruz and everyone else, he was saying this about the campaign printer he did not care about it for two years we had control of both houses. suddenly, everything is on fire. >> and barack obama, when he had control of both houses. -- >> barack obama is gone and trump is here. >> and exacerbated problem that reported that he left in shambles has no desire to fix it. what about someone like mitt romney? it does not seem like he is going to be a friend to the president. it almost seems like jeff flake two point appear. >> think of some of the polls that are coming out. americans getting increasingly ticked off about the shutdown.

rights and the government can take your car and sees your property with no due process. it is not an asus but let's talk with the economy a little bit because mick mulvaney has warned that there will be zero percent economic growth. we like this three and four percent gdp growth that we have not seen for a long time. >> here's the issue. on the data side it is kind of like pay me now or pay me later. federal workers not get paid the entirety of the first quarter. that will not show up in gdp. but as soon as they get the back pay it will show up later. second-quarter gdp could be huge if first-quarter gdp is not. but i think the real issue is, give more and more americans saying, i do not feel so good about where the economy is heading. but if you look last year about this time you're talking about 50 or 55 percent of american population saying things will get better. >> yeah! i took in 37 percent. it's a psychology thing where people are saying look, i like was happen so far but we have trade, nothings happening there. we have the shutdown, i'm hearing bad things about the
