benefit that was once reserved for u.s. citizens. america's generosity and the government's casual regard for border enforcement and utter stupidity have combined to create an irresistible magnet that draws the central americans due north. the united states has paid a heavy price for more than two decades now. president trump warning against the invasion of this country and declaring the only way to end it is to build a border wall. >> this really is an invasion of our country by human traffickers. these are people who are poor horrible people bringing in women, mostly, bringing in women and children into our country. human trafficking. we are going to have a strong border. the only way were going to have a strong border is to have a physical barrier, a wall. anyone who says you don't, they are just playing games. >> lou: radical den leaders, pelosi and schumer defiantly

insisting there will be no funding for a while. republican establishment leader, mitch mcconnell, urging president trump not to declare a national emergency. the results of which would be to turn over our sovereignty to the countries and people of central america, and mexico, who me to overrun our border. eight legislative days now before republicans and democrats on the bipartisan conference committee have to give the president a bill to pay for the wall. in final legislation. we take up the radical dems opposition and a sold-out republicans who refuse to fund the president's wall. republican national committee chairwoman joins us tonight. the party, not so unified. the democrats, very much so. also, more problems for democrats in virginia and ralph northam saying he was not part of the races picture from his medical school yearbook.

they couldn't get things done. they are promising the american people and he saw the escalation at the border. he said i'm going to come to washington and were going to get things done, finally. he's right. asylum claims are up 1700% over the past eight years. we have 2000 people trying to cross into the country every single day. 90% of the heroin coming across our southern border. we have 300 harrowing deaths per week. it's a crisis, it's escalating. we've created a magnet for people to get into the country illegally. the president has an obligation to make our country safe. he is going to do that. >> lou: you say kick the can down the road, of all the expressions that i hear, kicking this can down the road, were talking about 30 years of can kicking. those are presidents and senators and congressmen are

sold out to the establishments, the reit rhinos in the republican party. the dems pursuing their left-wing virginia and the hell with working men and women and their families, the middle class, those who aspire to it. this president was elected to represent those people who have been ignored for three decades. your party, whether jeff flake, mitt romney, mitch mcconnell or paul ryan, do you ever just pick up the phone and say, maybe you need to come to your senses and get with the party. >> i certainly share what i see from our base. i traveled the country all of the time. we see the letters coming into the rnc. we see the support the president has. the small dollar fundraising along has eclipsed anything republican has seen. you know why? people are saying this is a person who is going to champion us and is listening to the

problems we are facing. washington is so out of touch and they have lost step with the american people to such a degree, we don't trust them to get things done. president trump comes in and says this is a crisis that is been pushed down for 30 years. it is time, once and for all, to address it. republicans and democrats will have to get on board. it's putting our safety at risk when you have drugs crossing our border at the level it is. human trafficking, think about that. people being trafficked into the country to be put in a sex slaves. that's horrific. isn't that worth $5.7 billion to make sure not one woman has to go through that. >> lou: is worth about 30 billion. get the wall built now. not 200 miles, the entire border needs to be secured. this is not a political gain. there is no room in my judgment, my loan sole judgment, that there is no way the president of

the united states, or for that matter, senator or congressman should ever negotiate a compromise on national security. that is exactly what were talking about. do you not agree? >> i do agree. when you listen to ice agents and border patrol, and when you listen to obama's border patrol chief, mark morgan he said this is absolutely a humanitarian crisis. you hear the democrats saying it's not a big deal. the numbers don't lie. let's talk to the people on the frontline. that's who the president is talking to. he's talking to the experts who are dealing with this and putting lives on the line every day. he is trying to address an issue. it's not political. it's about the safety and security of our country. democrats know this and are choosing not to work with the president for political reasons. shame on them. >> at some point, when do we say shame on us? this is no longer a political

issue that resists solution. the solution at hand this president has proposed it. that wall, putting it up. you cannot get agreement from the chamber of commerce, the business roundtable, isn't it time the republican party says were not going to take your money. how about saying, were not going to take your money. say to wall street you're not going to take their money. and say, you are going to represent only those people in this country as individuals. get these fools out of our way. they are running the country, not the republican party. not the democratic party. those corporations. those banks. those koch brothers are running the country. it's time for it to stop. >> we have to listen to the people that are suffering every day. the angel moms, the people suffering from drugs.

about the state of the union tomorrow night. typically the president says, the state of the union is stro strong. this is a union now being torn apart by rhino republicans, by a radical dabs. it is a hell of a political mess. >> he needs to highlight the economic stuff. it needs to be a short speech. it cannot be in our speech. >> do not tell that to barack obama and bill clinton. >> but none of those were good. a good 30 minute speech. but, highlight the things he has done. talk about the strong leadership needed to provide international on in the critical thing we have to do in his priority was to fix the border. build the wall. national security. that should be the speech. >> even when he was running for

>> a washington federal judge today scheduled them march 13 13 sentencing for president trump's former campaign manager, paul manafort. they did not rule on whether manafort violated the plea. there also overseeing the roger stone case. there you go. the president judicial watch also working with the international policy form. tom, good to see you. let's start with the good judge. she has had quite an impact already. what do you expect to have happened in the manafort case? >> i'm sure he will get a higher sentence than he anticipated. courts too often have been to differential to the special

counsel. their expansive reading of the laws on the suggestions that he lied to them. i just don't think he's in a position to say hey, is trying to be honest with you. i may have misremembered a few things. these judges keep coming down on the side of the special counsel operation. the justice department is just letting the smaller special counsel really stomp all over these various defendants. for what public interest, i'm not aware of. >> lou: let's turn to the witchhunt itself. that is, of course extensively it is about to ramp up, we hear from various reliable or not so reliable quarters. what do you think? what does judicial watch thing? is this thing finally coming to an end?

>> i hope so. but i don't think so. it was just reported today that there is a subpoena issued to the trump inaugural committee. i think any report is going to be an interim report in the special counsel, or the justice department, which is really running the special counsel, you can't separate the two. the harass the president as long as he is president. in my view the justice department cannot be investigating the president and the idea that muller will write a report and the right another dossier of president trump on top of all the other abusive activities, to me, it's an abomination that needs to be curtailed or shut down. this is impairing the office of the presidency and no one signed up for this one muller was appointed. >> and from the very point, it has been a farce. illegitimate, just a ridiculous

enterprise that is benevolent. it remains out of control, even with the trump appointed acting attorney general, there seems to be no constraint whatsoever on the muller witchhunt. now, were learning that the doj's bruce or in special counsel andrew wiseman were in contact going back to perhaps 2015. in the roles are shifting here. the story is changing. then, people start to think well, maybe these bad actors because they are part of the most politically corrupt justice department in history have been falsifying evidence, creating new evidence, composing new evidence, that there narrative, there lies and we have 30000 missing clinton e-mails. the list goes on.

even the special counsel has destroyed evidence. what are we to make of this and why isn't there someone, someone somehow putting parameters on this misguided special counsel? >> i've said it once, i'll say it again. special counsel muller is king of the justice department. congress is afraid to confront him and hold him accountable. it's just judicial watch suing for records in court. were asking for collusion of the fbi and dnc and clinton oriented fusion gps. were asking for cost information about what muller has been up to. >> lou: by the time you get an answer this may have been wrapped up for a year or two. that's how far. >> this is the only oversight out there. it's an independent watchdog.

president trump said he wants to keep troops stationed in an airbase in iraq. it will allow the united states to push back on any remains of isis and syria as well is watch threats from iran in the region. joining us is foxbusiness chief strategic analyst, general jack king. good to have you with us. let's start out with keeping troops in iran. is it a good idea? >> we have always been watching iran. they are the number one maligned actor in the region. obviously our presence in iraq, we have had our eyes on these guys. they put money in the back pocket of the iraqi government leaders. they had built major shear militia groups that number the tens of thousands may have helped arm and train them. they clearly undermine u.s.

political economic and military efforts as much as they can. >> are you talking about the iran that we gave $150 billion to? 2 billion in currency piled up on pallets? are you talking about the iran that we gave a certain path to nuclear weaponry? this is the same iran and there is no protest from the congress like we have her day in and day out from this congress? the senate? >> absolutely. the sanction relief money that they have received, as you indicated, is way up there in the billions of dollars. they're using that money to fund the war in syria and yemen. and to undermine u.s. efforts in iraq. keeping our eye on iranians is something we have been doing and we have absolutely got to do it. they are the number one strategic threat in the middle east. >> lou: list turned to venezuela. that conflict is rising in

intensity. will the united states and china, what are the prospects here that we will see one of the other two major powers, china and russia, and treat what is most likely to be a regime change. what are your thoughts? >> i do not think there will be any intervention from them from a military perspective. from russia, a lot of bluster, muscle flexing, but they know full well, this is the western hemisphere. they know how the united states feels about intruders. they are way away from here. they are in an ocean away with any kind of capability. the chinese have considerably less interest in anything like that militarily. nonetheless, both are major investors in venezuela. make no mistake about that. they clearly want this regime to stay in power. if it does stay in power, what they will get out of it, it will

strengthen their hand in one week and the united states and in the region. the president has made a declaration and wants it done peacefully. i totally agree with that. all the arguments are on his side. he's coming down to where his military stands on that in the muscle we can put on that military to change loyalties. >> doesn't give you any pause whatsoever that the opposition leader, juan guaido, has made overtures with china and their certainty with the relationship should he secede the president. >> i don't have a problem with it. i think it's more tactical than

doug, is that what you expect to be the first words out of the president smiled tomorrow night? >> who can guess what the first words would be out of donald trump's mouth. he could say. because, it is strong. lbj said we are going to have a war on poverty and unemployment. donald trump has done it. we can say ronald reagan in his state of the union address said we were seeking energy independence and donald trump found it. he is superman. he can declare the state of the union is good. do you agree, pastor #. >> i do agree. the american people are going to see the phrase make america great again the campaign slogan is the desire of the president's heart. it's why he ran. it's why he puts up with the crap that comes with him every direction every day. it's why he's willing to reach across the aisle and work with the democrats on immigration, on

infrastructure and other topics. but, what the people are going to see is that the democrats are so blinded by hatred, they have no interest in working with this president. all they want to see is him ousted from office. the good news is, the american people are starting to see this. the cnn poll shows the president's approval rating are increasing as more more americans are seen that it's the democrats who are only interested in obstructing, while the president is interested in governing. >> lou: as a presidential historian, i thought that i had seen polarization, that i had seen alienation in the 60s. this is something, that we are experiencing right now, that is, i mean the country is divided as never before. i cannot imagine this president

successfully coming to a rational compromise with irrational radical dems. >> there has never been anything quite like it. whatever he does come he gets no credit. they say you haven't destroyed isis, the spirit is still a live. that's like saying we did not win world war ii because there are still nazis. the fact is, there is no country isis controls. no city, no village, not one square mile. there were 35000 square miles of isis when obama was in power. those coptic christians were beheaded in libya. >> you had president obama just a couple months ago trying to take credit for the trump a booming economy. >> listen to this. donald trump is probably released more young african-americans from prison than barack obama. prison reform appealed to

>> i think in the end, he won't. this is what i mean. i think he has shown over the last month that he has gone to every length possible to try to compromise and work with the democrats. they are going to show they are unwilling to do it. i would expect stones tomorrow night of people walking out or not coming, or trying to embarrass the president. it's going to show what a truly big man he is and how small they are. he has played this perfectly over the last month. i think he is setting the table perfectly for declaring a national emergency to get that wall built. >> lou: historically, as we watched this most recent caravan carrying another 2000 of the tens of thousands making their way to our border from central america, arriving almost on cue for the president's state of the union. it is something to behold. the democrats, as we all know have never kept their word on the issue of border security for the past 35 years.
