american journalist, turn on your old -- heading back to miami tomorrow. a little good news there. we are continuing to follow the story. have a great night.kennedy is next. kennedy: thank you, trish! hey, democrats, this shouldn't be tough, condemn anti-semitism and its forms individually and as a party. first, because obviously it is the right thing to do. second, because if you don't, the moral high ground will be totally erased. and the unfortunate situation stems from more comments made last week by minnesota freshman democratic congresswoman ilhan omar take it away! >> in this country -- push for allegiance --
9:01 pm
kennedy: some jewish lawmakers call offensive suggesting, to suggest rather having an allegiance to israel and the united states. earlier today fox news correspondent peter doocy tried to question the congresswoman about this. >> congresswoman omar, it seems as is confusion amongst your colleagues. are you anti-semitic? my only question, do support the resolution condemning anti-semitism and other forms of bigotry? kennedy: she clearly did not have much to say on that topic. now democrats are apparently torn with how to respond. some are waffling to others including the florida congressman debbie wasserman schultz say people have to educate themselves on this issue. watch. >> because you have some members who either repeatedly or individually, continue to use anti-semitic -- i will give them the benefit of the doubt

is an education issue. when congresswoman omar used it is all about the vengeance, she said i did not know is what it meant. and that was the context it was used in and i apologize.i actually thought that was worse than the allegiance comment that she made last week. but what the problem is now, from debbie dingell, who has a congressional district -- there's a lot of islamophobia as well in the country so now what we're discussing is a resolution that would condemn all bigotry. obviously that is a worthwhile endeavor but you get into the same debate that we had about the black lives matter movement versus the all lives matter movement. and we are speaking specifically right now but anti-semitism. which has been an issue. and so i would be in favor of a resolution specifically about anti-semitism and then a brighter one about bigotry. there are many people on the right who have an issue with
9:05 pm
this. kennedy: ocasio-cortez is doing the same thing. she is saying what about anti-blackness? they are all awful!and we should have an resolution for all of them. try to send a blanket resolution that covers everything. it almost covers nothing and it is too important to gloss over by making it too broad. it is tougher democrats because they want to make this about the election in large part about the president being racist. but that is tough to do if you are not properly condemning the anti-semitism of one of your freshman members. >> that's right. i mean the democrats have a real big problem. the anti-semitism has found a home in the far left. unfortunately the far left is now making it mainstream. i find it repulsive as an american jew. and i think anti-semitism is an antiseptic way of describing it. omar seems to me to be a jew hater. and to hate israel. and she said this has happened multiple times. i think it is atrocious and i

9:07 pm
table. >> i mean that is the problem. if you want to make about the rights of the table had to clear up the left side of the table which is democrats are having a hard time doing. my question with omar is, in 2012 when she tweeted about jews hypnotizing people and then recently talking about how it's all about the benjamin and there are pro-israel lobbyists buying the allegiance of members of congress. not just support. and that is a very clear line that she was -- what happens next time? because there will be a next time. >> i think it is a pattern here with her. that's why i think that the apology sort of is insincere because it keeps happening. >> she did not apologize for the due allegiance. >> but it's been stereotype after stereotype followed by flimsy apologies. i think we democrats are doing with this resolution by putting other forms of hinges that they're trying to sweep it under the rug little bit.
9:08 pm
and to diffusing issue. i think for the democratic establishment is sort of a day of reckoning. the younger part of the party, the younger liberals, are not as supportive of israel and jews. as the democratic establishment has put itself out there to be. and i think the fact that ocasio-cortez is defending her colleague in this, is illustrative of that fact. kennedy: she is defendant congresswoman omar but not condemning nicolas maduro. you can argue that his tactics are very fascist. he is a dictator. >> you know you have -- [multiple speakers] >> there is a problem of perceived anti-semitism on the progressive left. they really have to -- >> you need to be clear about israel as a country and the jewish people. and the policies that are implements what goes on in the gaza strip if you want to make the case. and that is what i think the left really -- >> and there is a case to be

9:11 pm
have a crisis if you have a million immigrants trying to get across the border this year alone. and it is just how what a joke it's become on the southern border. especially with asylum claims. your illegals showing up with children, claiming they're coming to find economic or to find jobs. that is a deportable claim. then you have pro-immigration saying that you should check the credible box and those are at a rate that they be held for 10 days, catch and release into the country. this is a complete and utter joke and blessing all sand this is that people keep saying, for humanity sake we should continue to accept the people. i'm sitting is saying what about humanity sake of the american taxpayer that's having to foot the bill on all of this? at what point do we get to finally say, republicans and democrats, you better fix this because we are sick and tired of being the atm -- kennedy: a great point! because republicans and democrats are not acting

i'm going to talk for a little bit because this is truth and i have to speak to both of you because you are both wrong. so many people coming over because the doors closing. and people are worried they will get shut out on the other side. so people want to be here, yeah, there are other countries not as great as the united states. it did not make everyone here want to leave somewhere that is not good and asylum-seekers. the other thing is congress has to do a better job about fixing laws and allowing people to come in so there is not the sport of panic when they think they're going to be shut out. either one. >> i just kennedy, i just don't understand why all of a sudden the american taxpayer is supposed to be -- kennedy: we don't have to pay for anything. i am fine with that! >> you are correct in saying these are i mean the fact we have a broken immigration system, a broken welfare system, this is a very grim economic future for -- [multiple speakers] >> this is a red herring to think -- people coming are just

9:22 pm
absolutely no intentions it seems of going anywhere. i think it begs the question, what is this end? and something i read this weekend, gave me the chills somewhat because it was a profile of lindsey graham in the new york times magazine. and in it, lindsey graham, recounted a story that not long ago he was talking to the president about foreign affairs and situations around the world. and he was advising president trump not to intervene militarily in venezuela. kennedy: good! >> but he should keep the troops in syria and afghanistan. and donald trump then, replies, to lindsey graham, it is the whole problem. you want me to invade everywhere, except where i want to invade. and you think great, invading venezuela? >> i don't know but john bolton is taking a much heavier hand and a more prominent role in some of these discussions. not only with venezuela but on
9:23 pm
north korea as well. and it is worrisome because john bolton has made no bones about the fact that he has left to invade several countries including venezuela and north korea. i think it's a terrible idea. i also worry that sanctions will not work because it seems every country that we put sanctions on, the leaders find a way to enrich themselves with the help of china and russia. and i don't think that will be any different in venezuela. >> that is exactly right. so the outcome, you end up with the usa looking weak. because is made an extremely strong statement and made very clear what has to happen and expect to happen. then it doesn't happen and then what are you going to do? that's why i worry we will end up being sucked in to some kind of more aggressive news. in your marco rubio, seems to be pushing in that direction as well. kennedy: yes. >> i can see the argument. you can make the argument that give a collapsing statement is

9:25 pm
