night. have a terrific evening everyone. kennedy begins right now. kennedy: thank you trish! the democratic party civil war is upon us. impeachment and socialism tearing them apart from the inside. can nancy pelosi hold it all together? or will the president exploit this new weakness and skate into an easy reelection victory?it's been only two months since nancy pelosi and democrats took control of the house. at that time the rank and file split over these divisive issues prefers hysteria over impeachment. al green wants to get filing articles of impeachment against the president because it is tuesday. >> i do not believe that an unfit president should be
12:01 am
allowed to stay in office. >> that's fine. last time he had more than five dozen fellow democrats. but house speaker nancy pelosi says it's not in the cards. she took the option off the table. house majority leader, says the issue is just a distraction. but the big shots in the party still risking mutiny from some of the freshman upstarts. among them, congresswoman alexandria ocasio-cortez and rashida tlaib. and giving pelosi a headache over socialism. pushing the green new deal and a plan to completely destroy the u.s. economy. this past weekend aoc show just how little she understands about basic economics. >> capitalism isn't, to me, it is an ideology of capital. it puts capital, the most important thing is the concentration of capitol and it

means that we seek and prioritize profit and the accumulation of money above all else and we seek it at every human and environmental cost. that is what that means. and to me, that ideology is not sustainable and cannot be redeemed.kennedy: that's what that means. words, yeah. nancy pelosi dismissed the green new deal.the green dream is a nonstarter but make no mistake the parties drifting leftward whether she likes it or not. and all of that isn't enough, democrats also forced to defend their stance on anti-semitism. the sensible democrats can think ilhan omar that fiasco after she suggested jewish lawmakers have a dual allegiance to israel. among other statements she's made. lawmakers vehemently deny this. it is a ducky party splitting apart at the seams like a tijuana nightclub? and how president trump views

that to retake or maintain the oval office. with me now strategic communications director for the 2020 campaign, marc lotter is back. welcome back. >> thank you for having me kennedy. kennedy: rahm emanuel, mayor chicago, right-hand man to president obama and clinton, he says that the democrats are going way too far left and that is a gift to the president. do you agree with that statement? >> anything is a gift i think it's reality. i think that the american people are going to have a choice in 2020. between president trump, the economic success we have seen under president trump, the investment in the priorities, the defense of freedom and capitalism versus a party that has gone so far left that even democrats now see that the democrat party is gone. the departing of your father and grandfather is not there anymore. it's a party of socialism.
12:04 am
kennedy: i would tend to agree with you there. i don't think is just one party and i don't think the competing ideologies can stay in the same place for very long because there is going to be a split and it will depend on who the nominee is because right now the two front runners seem to be joe biden and bernie sanders. that fresh, young blood and whoever emerges victorious in the democrat nomination process, they're going to say a lot about the identity of the party. and i know democrats really tried to heal the rift from 2016 and it just goes to show they have not done a good job because i was after nancy pelosi makes that statement about impeachment is not on the table, it is to divisive. you have people like al green and aoc completely bucking that saying no, no we are still good with impeachment. >> absolutely. then you have the billing or liberal donors out there angry that the democrat party is not following the path. but to show you how far out of

sorts they've gotten, the afl-cio published a letter saying we will not tolerate the green deal because it's going to impact of their hard-working blue-collar americans and their families. they are losing labor. they have already lost the workers. but the labor leaders are following suit. it just shows you how far left they have gone. and i think many democrats, many blue-collar americans who may have been middle-of-the-road, maybe even slightly left of center, have to look at the economic results, more money in their paychecks, manufacturing jobs coming back. against a party this is we want to eliminate your health insurance. we want to pay money to people who don't even want to work. kennedy: we want to eliminate the choice you have in health insurance and we want to eliminate entire sectors of the economy that happened to employ a lot of union labor like the airline industry.

again with countless investigations. with the never-ending witchhunt still not showing anything, no results for it. kennedy: do think that nancy pelosi does with the results of the mueller report are?and that's why she's trying to soften the blow by curtailing impeachment talk? >> i don't know if she knows the results of the investigation. what i probably think is that she knows the results of polling. because if you notice, since it pivoted away from no impeachment, they started talking about other things that tried to carry the day in 2016 and so my guess is, it's strictly a guess, is not about the evidence because there isn't any. it's about polling because most americans don't believe in the impeachment process. they believe in our constitutional way of electing our president, the vice president and no amount of whining and investigation will overturn that. kennedy: swing states in the rust belt rather are responsible for putting the president in the white house. it seems like a far left super socialistic message, it will not resonate with the voters.
12:08 am
-- and purple districts they've tapped into what the voters responded to peer when you think they'll wake up and realize that work do you hope that they remain asleep?>> and i think they actually can reverse this trend because you have such an angry base out there of supporters. whether they are donors, those that knock on doors and for all of those new incoming freshmen that won in the suburban districts, many of those districts that the president won in 2016, they will now find themselves in a very difficult position having to defend their colleagues in the democratic side on socialism, green new deal, free medicare for all, for everything for everyone with no way to pay for it, it will be very difficult position because president trump also be on the ballot. >> all right, marc lotter, thank you so much. >> thank you, kennedy.

kennedy: it may be time to cancel the weekend getaway to caracas.they have told all of the american diplomats to leave. and they still have a backup. violence spreading many hospitals struggling to keep machines running to keep patients alive. what's become a nightmare scenario for doctors and patients. the remaining doctors there. nicolas maduro told supporters last night that the communist chaos is the fault of president trump who he accuses of attacking the venezuelan power grid with quote - a technology that only the government of the united states possesses. that's his accent, its will. this situation has reportedly become so dire that common criminals are having a hard time making money because there is no one with cash to rob. will this get worse before it gets better? and who really shut off the power? joining me now, former cia

director, buck sexton. he does have a better explanation for why the lights are still off. >> kennedy, we are reaching this point now where the u.s. has used the options that you would expect in this circumstance. we put on sanctions, looking up diplomatic sanctions with maduro, we've gone with juan guaido. reviewed and taken financial action against a bank in russia. we are doing all of those things to show which side of the fight we are on. but now we have to look at the rally that maybe he's not going anytime soon to your point. >> he is the ralph northam of south america. >> wow! the assad regime is i think an example of just how tenacious some of these dictatorial types can be. this idea that because people
12:11 am
are suffering, i hope this doesn't break onto border violence in venezuela but when you're someone like maduro cornered that's when a civil war is actually more likely than ever that he feels that he has no way out of this and the finances are drying up and perhaps we are dealing with what is effectively a narco trafficking, kleptocracy regime that also is socialist and it doesn't really care about the people drinking from storm drains and eating out of garbage trucks. kennedy: putrid water being consumed there because there is no, there is no sanitation or processing with the power grid down. it's interesting because juan guaido obviously is the self-appointed kind of democratically elected leader but not really. what happens if things don't work out for him? >> this is what i think people haven't really thought through. which is, all right, we've made our bed and now the u.s. at some point will have to sleep in in here which might mean
12:12 am
that what if nicolas maduro wins? and what if our breaking of diplomatic relations with the government and making the switch to juan guaido, we have picked sides here and i think a few weeks ago, there was -- i'll be honest with you, it's hard to see what's going on there and not feel like anything is better than this. so obviously the u.s. policy is the right policy from our perspective. but just because you've done the right thing doesn't mean it will go the right way. and that's where i think we have a problem in venezuela because they have not switched over at the military regime is still very much in place for maduro. what do we do if he wins? we never think about that. what do we do if assad wins in syria? we can think about that. now in venezuela we need to be concerned about how deep into this we get. kennedy: and we also have a consider the reasons that nicolas maduro is to hold onto power.because he is not letting go anytime soon so obviously there still mechanism in place that gives him the incentive to stay as well as the generals. the easiest thing on the

surface would be for them to swap their allegiance, go with juan guaido and bring the country back to baseline. but that is not happening. the longer it doesn't happen, the longer it will go on. >> whoever loses here you see other people in venezuela are living? riverside loses, a lot of people will be spending a lot of time in venezuelan prisons. which from what i understand is -- kennedy: worst in turkish prison. >> yeah, rough. high-stakes for both sides. i think we've done all we can do i think we're just hoping that our guy wins. kennedy: i still think that's that the cia is scoring with the grid there. >> i can neither confirm nor deny. kennedy: that's what you're the best! thank you. >> thank you. >> would you feel safe on a

yay! alex, from a legal point of view, does the faa have to have greater cause to temporarily ground planes before they can take the kind of action that some hysterical lawmakers are seeking? >> i think it is certainly you want to provide more grounds for considering that this is a huge economic loss for the airline industry if they were not able to use these planes. and so i think they would have to provide some kind of greater justification but for the democrats not to make light of it, they should really go with the kind of logic that they been saying all along. let the investigation continue let's not jump to conclusions. kennedy: where is the due process! >> the uk, your home country. >> i am in california now. american. kennedy: there you are! they joined a lot of the european countries, they say we are not flying these.

unethical narcissist dimwits ended in hot gravy.federal and investigators uncovered the largest college admissions scandal in american history and they're just getting warmed up. ego driven rich people can't stand the thought of having ordinary children. with the help of southern california college admissions guru, william singer, they allegedly found a way to get there gently bread mouth breathing intellectual infants into good colleges. to the tune of $25 million in bribes over eight years. and they reported a side door by paying off division i coaches, test administrators and others to get below-average dumb domes into schools like yale, usc and wake forest to name a few. and is not just using cash bridges to squirrel their spawn to the next phase.
12:29 am
they agreed was only one driver in a system ripe with corruption. just about every sector of society has bought ernie's must go to college snake oil and this ridiculous myth that your adult life only has work after 40s of matriculation has latched on with alarming purchase. so you make up some story about your kids learning disability to get more time to take the act. and singer pays a part of that system with your kid and changes answers. we just have some bright students take the test for him. and then, thanks to the flawed title ix, you find the schools with the most athletic scholarships offered to women because fake equality breeds corruption. and you bribe a coach. sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars to get your uncoordinated meet sack a scholarship to a school they don't deserve to visit. let alone attend.
12:30 am
and playing a sport or allegedly playing a sport that they've never participated in. on top of that, singer was allegedly laundering money through a charitable foundation. so no one had to pay taxes on their bloody bribes. and the whole thing was a big right off. very clever! felicity huffman and lori loughlin has been the poster children for the scam and have been arrested.there will be more silver splinters and bracelets in the coming spirit of college is a joke, getting kicked out for your parents shameless greed, that is quite a punch line! and that's the memo. one of the celebrities caught up in the scandal, actress lori loughlin. she and her fashion designer has been apparently paid bribes of around half $1 million for their two daughters to be accepted onto the usc crew team. even though neither had road competitively or in in about before. their daughter is a youtube star and influence with millions of followers.

12:32 am
enormous bureaucracy around everything from mental health and mental disability to sports and title ix. systems that were taken advantage of by rich people who you know who paid coaches, who paid the lesser sports officials. who are part of these massive systems that many cases the federal government actually require the university to adopt to comply with antidiscrimination laws and things like that. the system whether well intended or whatnot clearly facilitated or helped to facilitate some really massive just disgusting fraud that i think we all should be wondering you know like what is the point of higher education if, is it just for rich people to have a good experience? if so, let's just dispense with the illusion. let's just let them pay whatever they want and go to campus. you don't even have to go to class. don't get agree and just have a fun couple years and find! kennedy: but that's what it's about, the parents in their ability to tell their idiot friends that the kid got into yale when the person didn't

12:34 am
those scholarships.and that's where the corruption comes in because the coaches realize, compromise coaches realize these are very valuable. and the parents realize that if the kid wasn't smart enough to get into the school, didn't have the test scores or great executives pretend that they are now on the golf team. >> and get away with it, right? they knew they could not get in on their own merit. they needed ridiculous help like the answers are being dictated to them and all the special arrangements so they can get in. then they knew they were going to do fine in school because is not that serious. you cannot show up to class, you can sleep your way through, you can party and get away with it. kennedy: if you don't work for it, you don't have ownership of it. >> right. kennedy: the psychologist often times wasted on people who are unfocused and have absolutely no business being there. and i think we do have to take a look, it started with good intentions. it got a lot of young women into sports for the first time
12:35 am
back in 1972 when it was first implemented. but now it has gone off the rails and your big schools that don't have men's swimming. and men's gymnastics. because they have to cut entire sports and roster management in order to comply with title ix. it's ridiculous but robbie, i'm glad you're keeping track of it all. thank you. >> thank you so much. kennedy: felicity huffman is another celebrity caught up in the scandal. just hours ago she was released on $250,000 bond. that is so many! signed by her husband, william h macy. both huffman and loughlin were caught up in this. there 50 people caught up so far. including hotshot ceos and college coaches peter seymour could come. is this the tip of the iceberg? alexandra wilkes, dave smith --

you read the entire complaint. it's pretty comprehensive. >> it is. i think the complaint does a great job of outlining the three doors that the president and the university of the front door that the kids getting on their own merit. the back door which is the titans of industries that by the library together kidding. then have a side door being talked about in this particular complaint. what i think is really interesting is that these are the people who have money but maybe not serious money. and these are the people who have become rather preachy in recent years in terms of politics and culture and upholding everybody else to their standards. while at the same time participating in this scheme and then getting a tax write off as a result. i think it's interesting that is this class of people that we are really zeroing in on. you know, it is not the mega rich. it is talking about the real
12:37 am
estate developer, the guy who is a prominent lawyer, a prominent doctor. and again, these are people i think are becoming more active in politics and sort of the self-righteous and aggrandizing -- kennedy: and there's a difference between parents who hire coaches and tutors and pay for test prep. because the kids are still doing the work. they are still working harder and maybe they have a little bit more opportunity. maybe they can hire a nutritionist. but is not the same thing as fraudulently breaking the law. or having someone else anticipate for your child and claim it's their work. >> totally. and what's really interesting about this story i think is just how many angles of things that are broken in our society. it reflects this snooty self-righteous. the way that these people who lecture us behave in these sort of ways. the way that the system i mean it is total about the system being rigged.
12:38 am
this is another reason why people feel like that they see stories like this and they say there's one rule for the rich and one for everyone else. and there is hypocrisy. kennedy: and they been lying to their kids. you know if you have the grades and to study for this test, you'll get into a good college. at those places have been taken. >> and let's not forget that this fantasy about going to college but it may not be appropriate for you want to do but your passionate life and that's why this is a really important interesting story. kennedy: should be rethink college at this point? >> yes, this is the biggest scam involving college except for college.
