it through government.and giving up private insurance across the board, it needs to be fixed. i think that would cause a riot in the streets. most people are not ready for that. we need to hold the industry accountable. make them transparent, start fixing themselves. i tell them that all the time. and we need to, as republicans over the next year and and a half or two, put a plan together that we sell to the american public. the ship has sailed when it comes to those three pillars. i have created a plan in my own business 10 years ago. it covered those factors. my employees have not had a premium increase in nine years because i have embraced transparency. i've made my employees put skin in the game pay they are taking care of when they get critically ill or have a bad accident. and it is sustainable and i was able to lower family healthcare plans by $1400 a year. we need to, as republicans,

start talking about that and i think americans will listen. >> senator, one of the thing republicans could do, i'm surprised they did not do in the last election is proposed real liberation of health savings accounts. is that part of the agenda? how do you get the patient in charge instead of third-party factors like the insurance companies, medicare, medicaid and large employers? how do you make it a consumer market again? >> it definitely needs to be parted -- part of the plan. >> consumers an open transparent and competitive markets do the heavy lifting. there are more tools available now with technology and smart phones, than ever before. it works in all other markets. healthcare has evolved. you insure against the inevitable, minor healthcare needs, scratches and dents. we've gotten away from employees, patients having skin in the game. we probably have a narrow

window to get it all fixed because the industry itself is benefited from the status quo. that is why i tell them every day you ought to be the ones word mostly. you have one business partner, the federal government.many businesses are getting tired of putting up with the headaches. >> i agree with you on all of these fronts but i do think it is an issue when you're talking about transparency.we saw yesterday with drug pricing, no one was to take the blame, and is willing to be transparent. so how will we enforce that? especially when you have the pharmaceutical industry -- >> you have to do what i have done. i am the only republican out there that blames most of the crisis on the industry itself. bernie sanders, government getting involved in healthcare, is treating a symptom of a sick industry.that is why i have got two or three transparency bills out there. legislating that, you should

not have to do it. i would love to see the insurance companies, the drug companies, hospitals come up with their own transparency tools.i think if we get the point across to them, they might do it because they will realize like i said earlier, medicare for all is crazy, it will cost a lot but will default in that direction was just sad. >> senator, really heavy about 30 seconds. nancy pelosi agrees with you that the medicare for all is unaffordable. it will cost $32 billion. what happens -- >> 32 trillion. >> excuse me 32 trillion! what happens when they try to unite together when they have such different ideas about medicine, quickly. >> well, they will try to do that. it will take folks like me that can articulate it with credibility. hold the industry accountable, get them working to save themselves, along with smart

legislation that prods them to do it. we will all regret the other alternative. plenty of time to articulate it. >> senator, great to see you. thank you for coming. good to hear the perspective of a businessman turned politician. i wish there were more business people and politics. that does it for "bulls & bears". thank you for watching. we will see you back here tomorrow.>> fireworks on capitol hill but maxine waters got fooled on student loan debt. -- the bankers have to remind the chair of the house financial services committee that they actually stopped making student loans a decade ago after the government took over and nationalized student lines under obama. maxine waters raised the move back then. now critics are hammering maxine waters for doing nothing more than anticapitalist showboating today. we will show you that fight. and in the middle of all of that, a bombshell from
