white house. and then the democrats can reinstate that deal. while waiting for a new white house, they are kind of dumb. on iran's part anyway. number one, by recent polling i suspect trump might get re-elected. if the iranians sit down at the table with the president and negotiate something new, the democrats aren't going to tear it up. of course, that reelect thing is predicated upon a strong economy and peace. hard ipeace -- in other words, people like a strong economy and peace. no world war iii or prolonged military conflict with iran. but there are politically motivated, self-interested people everywhere, including in america. and there are people in america that would like nothing more than to see us engage in a war

with iran because they know war could very well spell the end of trump 2020. so iran may actually be even counseled right now to be as bad an actor as it can be on the world table, all in a deliberate effort to provoke a u.s. military response. we know washington has become ungovernable thanks to the bitter partisanship. too many partisan actors putting politics before country. as a result, the iran conflict will prove to be a real test for donald j trump. he must follow his instincts and stay far away from the noise iran is trying to make. for now he should sanction sang sang some more.

you get a response. take that foreign aid is an incentive to those leaders, and they will be able to hopefully, you know, do what they need to do, enforce their own laws and stop the flow of the migrants. trish: that said, it's a free world, you want to just leave guatemala and go somewhere else, it's not like the government can stop you. but couldn't the government do something to incentivize people to want to be there in the first place, like trying to get its own economic house in order? >> sure. the whole point of why people are leaving is the problem with the rule of law. they have corruption in their government and the rule of law is not enforced so people want to leave. it's an issue of businesses not wanting to go into that. crime is down in guatemala but people don't want to locate

businesses there because of the rule of law. when the leadership gets with the program and starts enforcing its own laws, businesses will be recruit to those areas and you will see jobs created. in the whole northern triangle. all three countries. trish: here you go, millions of dollars from the u.s., do what you want with it. the fear is if you have that much corruption in the system, the money is not get together people who need it. maybe this is putting pressure on the government to say okay. we need to do a better job internally. a hard thing to do, but at least show some goodwill. >> absolutely. they have got to do their job. and the corruption has to be stomped out. there are several reports that show significant corruption and where that aid is being used.
