[♪] trish: bloodshed across america, two mass shootings taking the lives of at least 31 people this weekend. the death toll in el paso rises to 22 after a gunman opened fire inside a walmart in el paso.

and in dayton, ohio a man mowed down 20 people before he was taken out by police when they opened fire. garrett? >> we are learning more about those who lost their lives. their ages range from 15 to 90. they include a 60-year-old veteran who died, protecting his wife and granddaughter. another is a 15-year-old boy, a rising star in high school who loved soccer. the story of a husband and a wife. 23 and 24-year-olds. andre and jordan. they just dropped off their 5-year-old daughter at cheerleading practice before coming to walmart to buy her

school supplies. jordan was carrying their 2-year-old son. andre shield his wife from the gunfire and the mother of three shield their baby. the husband and wife are dead, their 2-year-old baby survived, along with their other children. >> i would give my life for hers. any day i would give my life for her. reporter: we are learning about the heroes, everyday people who rushed into danger to help carry the people who had been injured or care for the children who were separated from their

parents. >> what i did was way was supposed to do. i understand it was heroic. i am looked at it as a hero but that wasn't the reason for me. i was broken hearted for those kids and the families that were lost. it hurts me like they were part of me. reporter: you hear story after story that tears at your heart strings as the community tries to find a way to move forward. the 21-year-old from outside of dallas, the state prosecutors are charging him with capital murder. they plan to seek the death penalty. they are seriously considering federal hate crime charges based on a manifesto the shooter wrote shortly before this attack. and the manifesto included

motive was to kill latinos. but there is so much more that law enforcement is trying to find out above and beyond the motive. they are trying to find out were there others involved. who actually knew of this guy's state of mind. why did he drive 600 miles from allen, tech as to el paso to take these people and kill them the way he did. why did he pick that soft target? trish: why why why. i would just ask, why is it that there aren't people flags this? why aren't we getting warning signs. why don't we have a system set up. people are writing these

manifestos online, and some hah that trigger something in law enforcement to say ding ding ding, watch out for this person. as a former member of law enforcement, does the fbi go on facebook and i know they are check for terrorists. but it doesn't have to be just islamic terrorists. we have domestic terrorism in this country. are they check for that you have a as well. >> absolutely. they are checking for domestic terrorists on the various social media sites. from what i understand there may be a possibility the fbi had gone the some information just before these acts were carried out. the sad commentary is, trish, this is like a needle in the haystack. we don't know what's in the minds of people. you walk down the treat every

happen. democrats running for president trying to capitalize on this. people fundraising over this. what has changed in our society in the past several decade. why would this be changing? it happened under the obama administration and clinton administration and bush administration. and now it's happening in the trump administration. the internet, social media and the 24-hour news cycle. these sort of acts and individuals who clearly are mentally ill with major issue now have an outlet to talk in these dark chat rooms. trish: video games as well? >> i thought it was disgusting that anyone would try to opinion this on the president. but sadly it's not unusual in

we want to expand that. the goal is to get women to talk to other women. oftentimes i'll be on an airplane and women will couple to me and whisper and say we love the president, tell hum to keep it up, tell him to keep fighting. we want people to feel okay getting out there to support this president. i think people will be prized in 2020 when it comes to the numbers for this president. more minorities and women will vote for this president than did in 2016. we think it will be a landslide victory. i have a strong feeling the media will miss it again. trish: i remember you saying to me early on, you can sit back and grab the popcorn because they will blow themselves up. >> i think anyone who watched these debates, it's pretty clear, the ideas that are being
