liz: i.c.e. releasing 700 illegal immigrants. it's the largest single state immigration enforcement action in u.s. history. >> this was the largest single state raid according to i.c.e. officials in i.c.e. history. 600 agents around jackson, mississippi. they were targeting chicken processing plants. also targeting the companies themselves who knowingly employ those workers. some questions about the timing of the raid coming at the same time the president was coming to el paso to mourn the murder of

22 people, mainly hispanics. i.c.e. officials say no connection between the raid and that event. this raid was months in the planning. it took a long time to get the 600 agents in place to carry out the raids. they formed a perimeter around the plant then checked the identification of all the workers. those who did not have identification for put on buses. 300 of the 680 taken have been released. earlier in the day wednesday there were difficult scenes to witness of children separated from their parents. right now the u.s. attorney's office says they believe as of wednesday night all children and parents have been reunited.

since 1986. when homeland security was formed in 2002, they formed i.c.e. and this is an important tool they use to protect us all. that's almost 700 people in that workforce. that company is taking advantage of them, and they have an advantage in the marketplace. i'm glad to see the u.s. attorney in mississippi is doing a parallel investigation of the employer's conduct as well. liz: i.c.e. released parents with minor children at home. there was a couple, they detained one of the parents and let another parent go if they had children. it's believed all the children were with at least one of their parents as of last night. i.c.e. agents even made cell phones available so those detained could check in on their children. >> there is methodical planning
