are structured so we do better when you do better. maybe that's why most of our clients come from other money managers. fisher investments. clearly better money management. elizabeth: let's welcome to the show republican congressman out of florida. you're a member of the house judiciary committee. congressman, judicial watch is now asking president trump effectively hey, declassify like you promised because the fbi is stonewalling until after the election on handing over 13,000 pages of e-mails and texts we have never seen before, between peter strzok and lisa page formally at the fbi. your take on all of this? >> i call on the doj to release those documents and that information. the american people deserve to know what was going on in the doj. we just spent 22 months dealing with the mueller investigation, and i think the american people want to know what was going on at the doj with the people that were involved in that

investigation. so i call on william barr to ask the fbi director to make those public. elizabeth: you know, let's remind everybody the kinds of texts we're talking about. here's this text that happened three months before the election in 2016. in august lisa page said trump is not ever going to become president; right? peter strzok said no no he's not. we're going to stop him. here's the other issue, the unmasking, the requests to unmask the names of innocent people on the trump campaign. we have this number, federal agency searches of names or phone numbers of u.s. citizens in surveillance databases under the obama administration exploded from 9500 searchs to more than 30,000 searches in 2016? that's a lot of people being searched in these databases. what's going on here? >> again, i'm glad john durham is doing an investigation into a lot of the surveillance that's going on. i'm glad that william barr is looking at the actors at the highest levels of doj to ensure

that they're doing what the american people expect them to do, not using their political motivations to surveil or spy on individuals especially in an opponent's campaign, like what happened with what we saw with the trump campaign. elizabeth: regular u.s. citizens working on a campaign. we don't know who was unmasked or surveilled. we don't know the true depths of this story because the mueller probe didn't look into it. >> well, and mueller himself when we asked him in the hearing and asked him about what preceded all of this and how we got to where we are today, he refused to answer any of those questions. so hopefully the ig investigation comes out very soon and we know what precipitated all of this, and if there are people that were not doing what they were supposed to be doing at the highest levels of the doj, they will be held accountable. elizabeth: congressman, thank you very much for joining us, sir. we will have you back on. great insights there from you. he sits on the house judiciary committee. thank you for having us in your home. thank you for watching.
