reporters. have drinks, whatever. but do you you have the right to share information on an ongoing investigation? >> no, absolutely not. that violates every rule. there are reasons to protect the information that's being acquired by the fbi. in furtherance of that investigation to provide that to reporters. there is a robe why leaking sensitive information can get you fired from that job, no question about it. and i think what the commentator might be saying from a criminal perspective there wasn't anything wrong with leaking the information which i think is arguable. but he doesn't take the extra step to say now he was asked about it, federal investigators, under oath, he's not truthful. that's the basis of the criminal prosecution. trish: there are human beings
