catherine herridge. one of the main drivers of the russian collusion is out with a new table. adam schiff, he's now reading his own parody of that phone call stwenl zelensky and -- trump. he didn't note that he made it all up as he delivered his lines from the chair of the committee. his deceptive impression coming during an open nearing joseph mcguire, the acting director national intelligence, explaining why he didn't turn over the whistleblower's complaint to lawmakers according to their schedule, but instead according to his. catherine herridge has more on this extraordinary story. catherine: so much happened in the span of 8-10 hours in

washington. they declassified and released the whistleblower complaint in its entirety. there have been media reporting that it wasn't just a phone call. but when you see this you see the phone call with the president is the core or foundational element. other thing come takenned in the whistleblower complaint are allegations after cover-up -- this is all second hand information. but the transcript of the call the whistleblower states based on other officials was moved into a secret or highly classified storage system and this was not standard in a case like this. lou: already a cover-up and we haven't established there is a crime. it's an extraordinary moment we had leading up to all of this in very quick order, in a matter of four days. we go from reports of a telephone call in which there were supposed to be 8 references

to joe biden. references to a pressure or actually an attempt by the president to force upon the ukrainians information investigation that they simply did not want to pursue. none of it turns out to be in the phone call transcript we have all now read. then the complaint. there is discord and differences between the claims made initially in the general press. catherine: it doesn't sync up. and it doesn't include the transcript of the phone call itself. the whistleblower says it is based on second-hand information. lou: and public sources. catherine: there is a connecting of the dots to media reports. you can make of that what you will. we have seen it in other controversial documents as well.

the thing that immediately comes to mind is republicans criticize the fisa application and the use of media reports. the media reports in the document are used to connect the dots to make the point there has been misconduct by the president. lou: clearly it's my opinion it's going to take a lot of work to develop connective tissue to the reports to then the transcript to then the complaint. because it's very strained, i will put it that way at this point. >> catherine herridge thanks so much. president trump called the radical dimms a disgrace for what they are putting america through. president trump went on the offense over today's house

the intelligence committee hearing. i have to say that this is an extraordinary moment in history, to see all that was reported we would hear and read, and seeing what we read in the transcript, and looking at the complaint. your reaction somewhat the committee is going through right now. >> i looked at it and said there has to be five or six more pages of this transcript based on the reporting. when you look at it you start to say the buildup, the hype, we have seen this before from adam schiff, the hype of the russian collusion. now this is the ukrainian collusion. yet we saw adam schiff in all his glory today as chairman, he didn't read the transcript. he had to make it up because they had to build this hype that's out there. here is what we do know. the foundation of this whistleblower's complaint is

already starting to fall apart. there are reports out just a few moments ago on page 3 where a whistleblower said a witness for the state department is on the call. the state department is saying that didn't happen. what didn't happen is the president didn't do anything wrong, and it's time we allow him to govern on behalf of the american people who elected him in 2016. lou: what stuns me as i read the transcript, i find it impossible in an independent reading of that document, i find it impossible to come close to the reporting. forget the zeal of the radical dems in want to go find something, grave and impeachable in it. i can't find anything that even supports the report being it in advance. >> it doesn't.

there were selective leaks given to different reporters sourced by people who didn't have knowledge of it. there were promised made by the president. he didn't make any promises. 8 mentions of joe biden, those weren't in there. and we have a great witness. the president of ukraine. zelensky himself. i am all about this. but here is what we are going to find. we'll find adam schiff will rush his through before it falls apart. the whole russia collusion fell apart. everything they have gone cohen has fallen apart. he's in jail. now they are going to run this through and have an impeachment vote before this narrative falls apart. but it's already falling apart. i have never seen my republican colleagues this engaged in the house ready to defend this president. they know what the democrats are

doing is wrong and it's not fair to the american people as well. lou: i think it's clear to the american people that this is just another assault to the radical dems and the deep state. the "new york times" is saying the whistleblower is a cia officer who was on temporary assignment to the white house. it just gets richer and richer and more preposterous than the previous dimm plot. >> there are similarities. in this whistleblower report they cite a lot of sources in the news. we know from the previous russia collusion narrative, what did they quote? sources in the news that they put in the news so they could report on it. lou: why do you think the president calls that fake news? >> because it's exactly like that. the reporting prior to this
