[♪] lou: good evening, the radical dimms have completed their effort to formalize their efforts to overthrow the president of the united states. the vote in the house 232-196. all but two of those radical difficulties rrp voted to approve the so-called rules bid which they will carry on their proceedings against the president. after 37 days of secrecy and subversion the radical dimms voted to make their unpress determined secret assault against the president public. but not before they hold more secret hearings.

republicans protested, but could do any more than vote no. that vote means the radical dimms have a clear statement that impeachment should never have been attempted in the house. not a single republican broke ranks. every one of them voted against the bill. two democrats joined the republicans in their off significance. and the party of hate has cheated and lied throughout in their efforts to subvert president trump. all the while, the president is doing what he has always done. he's working, precious ahead with his agenda and perhaps under his tbreat cussing pelosi, schiff and the rest. let's go to john roberts at the white house. reporter: president trump dismissed the vote on the resolution as more posturing by democrats. the democrats are desperate. they have nothing.

and it's the only way they will try to win the election this way because they can't win it the ware way. reporter: the white house said they would not cooperate with the inquiry until a vote was forthcoming. they are still not cooperating because they say it does not insure due process. democrats insist the new guidelines do allow the president and to participate. about but even then the president's involvement is subject to the discretion of the chairman. communications staff briefed surrogates on what they call the impeachment sham. the message from the white house. it's president trump work on behalf of the country, not democrats.

a new associated press poll finds the president's support among republicans is holding steady. overall his job approval rating stands at 42%. lou: president trump's strong approval ratings among the republican party show in the vote with every republican member of congress voting against the sham resolution. of the democrats who voted for the resolution, 79 are from a state where president trump won in 2016. a notable yes vote came from congressman hastings. hastings himself was impeached by the senate for accepting

bribes in exchange for lenient sentences in florida. the house voted 228-206 in favor of impeaching president clinton. president nixon's up preachment inquiry was bipartisan. formally ratified in the house by a margin of 410-4. in february, 18-68 the house voted 126-47 in favor of the resolution to impeach andrew johnson. only nixon did not survive those votes. the dimms' shadowy inquiry

continued. tim morrison was on capitol hill where he answered questions from lawmakers. it appears he delivered a major blow against the left's narrative of improper behavior by president trump. during that july joan phone call with the leader of ukraine. catherine herridge with the report. catherine: a top national security council with first-hand knowledge of the phone call told investigators he didn't think anything improper or illegal was discussed on the call and he thought publicly released transcript was complete. tim morrison said he had immediate concerns the transcript would leak, how it would play out in washington's polarized environment and how it would affect the ukrainian perception of the u.s. he said i want to be clear. i was not concerned that

anything illegal was discussed. more on rsh told investigate -- morrison told investigators that ukrainians had no knowledge that aid was withheld. morrison's testimony about the call transcript as complete appears to undercut lieutenant colonel alexander vindman. a source close to the'. and said vindman went outside the chain of command on ukraine. lou: our first guest tonight was in today's closed door testimony

of tim morrison. to the degree that you can, give us your sense of morrison's testimony and its potential damage or support of the president. >> i would say this. first of all, the democrats say you republicans won't talk about the substance, you just want to talk about process. we can talk about substance. today because a very positive day for republicans, and adam schiff's star chamber. those folks had a sour face. we finished up our deposition early. an indicator of how fast they wanted to get that guy out of the room because he obliterated their narrative. you will see what he said at some point. lou: give us some sense, this process, they formalized a process, but it doesn't

legitimize anything. moving forward, what are we two expect. there will be more secret hearings. when does a public process begin and will it ever be put forward without the approval of adam schiff. >> as your white house reporter said, the president and more due process doesn't really happen until it gets to judiciary. imagine playing a baseball game where the opponent gets three strikes but you only get two. you only get to hit with half a battle in the 9th inning. that's the process they just approved today. while they are saying you can call witnesses and have counsel present, that's the discretion of chairman schiff. while we have been in the scif. when we have gone to questions regarding the intelligence community, he said it's off limits. this is the chairman of the

intelligence community scif an won't allow the minority to ask questions about the intelligence community's involvement in the proceedings and these accusations. it will be a continued situation where they are setting the table, a narrative that supports their objective. it's not about fairness and justice. it's not about due process. lou: it is about wasting a lot of time and distracting from issues this president must deal with. the radical dimms have the luxury of not having to take care of any business other than to assault this president which they have done from the moment he was elected. not just simply inaugurated. >> we have north korea firing missiles. we could be passing the usmca. prescription drug reform. there are issues the american

it looks like state department officials may have played a role in that. lou: jonathon wiener appears to have played the role as conduit to the diplomats. that's important as we look at the real collusion taking place with whom. >> why were they connecting with the senior officials at the russian embassy? his job was supposed to be libya. the left assumed russia tried to help donald trump win even thoifort was feckless and played no real role. but who knows. maybe there were elements in russia who were in on the conspiracy to stage a coup against the president of the united states. lou: the collusion seems to be tilting toward the other party, if you will. it's unclear whom, if there is

indeed collusion of any kind. it's deeply troubling to watch this process of the dems which they formalized today. don't the dems have a bit of a problem? they bring in tim morrison. we are hearing that tim morrison who resigned his postal the white house was absolutely supportive of the president and candid about his judgment of that phone call. >> tim has a lot of credibility. he is a friend of mine. he served with former senator jon kyl as his aide. i don't know why he resigned. it might have been conflicting advice and whether he should or should not testify. but the result was not what the democrats hoped for.

unlike a lot of these deep state cry babies saying donald trump cut us on the process with ukraine. tim was actually on the phone call. one of the few people in this mix who were and he said there was nothing illegal in that call. of course we already know that from the transcript. but it's nice to have a first-hand witness affirm that. lou: we just learned that tim morrison's last day on the job will be tomorrow, chris. let's turn to this colonel vindman. he's an interesting fellow. he talked about the interagency and the consensus of the interagency and he was informing people what the national security council would abide and what it would not. this is a man who has a very

high opinion of this man lit rising out of the swamp called the inner agency and a low opinion of the constitution which does give foreign policy to the president to carry out. >> what we have is a collection of the palace units who said they know better than the emperor. it's just a collection of bureaucrats from across various national security agencies. you have to ask yourself, who sets foreign policy? the constitution says the president does. but you have these critters like -- what is it with these lieutenant colonels who come out of nowhere who want to have world war iii with russia. but what this is is range insubordination. this isn't whistle blowing. you say i have feeling. i feel donald trump is doing something unethical. donald trump had no idea who

this guy was until four or five days ago. lou: senator mike lee doesn't want you to know about his bill that would accelerate the flow of indian h-1b visa workers into the united states, putting all of the progress for the american middle class and workers at peril. yesterday senator dick durbin called for a further look into lee's senate bill 386 nobody as the quote fairness for high-skilled immigrants act. when was the last while we saw a fairness for the middle class and american workers act. the bill is supported by the indian government and big tech firms like google and microsoft. today lee objected and wants to work it out with durbin behind closed doors. >> i don't believe that any

further fact you'll development concerning this bill is necessary. at this point i believe a hearing can serve no purpose other than to delay speedy action on this important reform. lou: in lee's judgment he thinks the bill is so important it should pass in the dark of night with unanimous consent which would not require a vote by a single senator. durbin is trying to save his hide and the american worker perhaps by objecting and they want to work together to avoid a hearing. you know, the public. that messy bunch of voters we all represent. they want to do it in the dark of night without our witnessing what's happening and who is doing what to this country. senate bill 386. we are going to watch. we may not have any influence at all. but i hope the president of the
