from having spent time in combat, they suffer from ptsd, how does a dog help them? i have a dog about a year ago, i wonder why didn't i have that dog 10 years ago. >> right. trish: dog is a pretty appreciate thing, i think for everyone. -- pretty special thing for everyone. what it is that a dog like utah eaoutor any dogs you train. >> first start with warriors, ptsd is forcing our warriorses to stay in their homes, they are asafraid to go out the front do, they are a bridge outside of that door. they have not been to a restaurant or a store for 3 or 4 years, they come to campus, they get a companion like utah then they are back in the stores and restaurants.

trish: what made you decide to do this. >> i was a lawyer at a big law firm, and k-9 warriors was my pro bono project. this is way more fun. >> what you are doing is exciting, and affecting people in a meaningful way. you gave us an example. people not wanting to go out their doors, now they have a reason to, too. it is a mutual thing, the veteran is taking care of the dog. >> there no question, we say we rescue the dog and the dog rescues the warriors. we combat veteran suicide every day in america, sometimes all you need is a reason to get up in the morning, we provide a cold nose and a reason to go out and walk and be loved on by this big guy. trish: that is great, special to see if people want to help you, how do they do it.

and anyone who has served like that, has done that in a very selfless way. for all of us, i think it is important when we look at how divided we have decome -- become as a nation, we remember this veterans day that we're all in this together. we're the united states of america. we need to stay united. if for no other reason, than the veterans that have served us, that have died protecting us. that should be reason enough. tomorrow we have conservative actor robert abovey o daffy -- e show, kennedy coming up. have a good evening, thank you.
