we may be gearing up for thanksgiving tomorrow but it's still an incredibly easy session on "wall street". this morning we got economic data, this is part of the reason the markets are hitting records right now. third quarter gdp came in better than expected. 2.1% annual rate versus an estimated 1.9%. one of the federal reserve's favorite inflation gauges, for personal consumption in october came in at 1.6% from last year. this was a little light, 1.7% expected. big ticket items that last more than three to five years, six tenths of a%. economists expected 1.1% drop. that's a big one there. they mostly tied to related goods which left out orders only just one tenths of a%. taking a look at historic to statistics for thanksgiving

week, the dow industrial closed higher during thanksgiving week, 62% of the time with the s&p gaining 68% and nasdaq closing up 69% of the time. i guess people were optimistic and excited about the holidays but this is the now doubts and thanksgivings worst since the 50s and third worst for the s&p 500. it's not so bad because the major averages are in the green between 20 and 30% gains so far this year alone. look at some exchange trade funds that have had unbelievable returns. there's a reason for this, we are going to bring up first trust nasdaq ets, q utc shared so far up 40% this year. flip it over to no space and

the trees grow taller. if you could tell me we will have a december this year like we had last year, i would sell everything today. clearly i don't have a crystal ball, i'm not sure anybody else does but i think the markets continue to be positive and clearly it's probably over a short term and maybe we are due for a corrective. maybe we can improve profits but i think the bigger problem is you are sitting on a lot of cash. >> i heard larry has a crystal ball. tell us where you think, nobody can see into the future. we do know it's a frightening time, one year ago coming up on christmas that that would have been the best time to buy. is there a moment you would take? >> i'm thinking of company they actually like, i love the

company, smashed a lot of records and become the second-largest data center. it gives out a three and a half different dividend deal. it's accumulated so much that 19% this year, 20% the year before, 46% the year before the end it's okay. it's okay but in 2018, it's not kept pace. you have equity ratio that's too high. 1.2 earnings ratio above 121. if i owned it right this second, i would sell it. >> okay, definitive theft. >> holy smokes. i kind of look at the bigger picture, larry has a great one. but i would say the big one is

agile ones entering into this space such as robin hood tech solutions looking to do the same. take also, we are not only talking about stocks, ets. there is competition on multiple fronts in the lines of business but in terms of the investment products people are looking at. >> people are wondering what if i liked how it worked? i was comfortable with it, they are going to schwab. obviously there professional but you look at the one year picture, it has jumped rather dramatically. we are at a one year high right this minute. does that surprise you? >> no, i think this was a bold move and schwab is about technology. we are talking about being

around since 1973. they've been setting off landmines ever since they came in. i think it looks very good. obviously the emphasis is on the rivals to continue innovative in a similar fashion. obviously they have brick and mortar locations that don't operate so much but they are the touch.for customers. >> robin hood on the far right along with brokers and e*trade, let's talk about robin hood out of silicon valley, it was a startup the and the status quo by cutting commissions. >> everybody will be looking in a multiple range of options including e*trade as well. there's nothing to keep people from innovating within their own enterprises as well. of course robin hood has yet to go public but is looking at fundraising in that regard.
