that. your reaction? >> this is great news for public safety and it's great news for national security. the cartels have been violent for years. through intimidation, violence. ideology they want to share in our communities and harm us. i am sceptical that mexico is going to participate and work with the u.s. on that. i am very worried about that. liz: this is happening after mexico's president tried to push back against efforts after the more nonfamilies were slaughtered. would it cut off their cash flow if we did this? >> you bet it would. it opens up a whole new approach on how we deal with the cartel in this country. similar to isis. the cartels are in our

communities. but label them as terrorists allows to us go after them in different ways and put them in a different level. it would help the good citizens of mexico, too. i am sceptical about how deep the cartels are into the government of mexico. i say that based on my experience working on on the border. liz: 261,000 whomcides in the past 10 years. 90 per day. that's a higher per capita rate than the middle east. a border patrol dog is going to retire after 10 years on the job. he helped seize' drugs. >> we workth with them on border patrol. liz: bring one next time.
