on the ftse 100, cac and dax also green. our big story this morning, and this is breaking news, the usmca is facing some trouble at home and abroad. first, the big news, mexico's deputy foreign minister for north america says that mexico will never accept a measure that would allow labor inspectors from other countries on mexican soil. this provision was added by house democrats on fridayed and that quickly drew criticism from our neighbors to the south. squad member alexandria ocasio-cortez has spoken out against the deal. she says she will probably vote know, citing fears on how it would affect americans who travel to canada to get cheaper drugs. lauren: over the week only, robert lighthizer confirmed that phase one of the deal with china is, quote, totally done. this after officials announced that came to an agreement. it will nearly double u.s. exports to china in the next two years.

speaking to ed henry yesterday, peter navarro described what could happen if china tries to violate the deal. >> my favorite part of the deal is an enforcement mechanism which allows us within 90 days, ed, to unilaterally basically retaliate if the chinese violate the agreement and they can't do anything about that. lauren cheryl: president trump defended the deal. after being attacked by senate minority leader chuck schumer, the democrats sent a tweet claiming that the president, quote, sold out on the china deal and he, quote, couldn't be relied upon to do the right thing for american workers and businesses. president trump shot back, he said schumer is only saying this because he sat around watching the u.s. get ripped off during the obama administration. all right, well breaking overnight, the house judiciary committee released its full report on the articles of impeachment. chairman jerry nadler calling president trump a threat to the

constitution, saying he should be removed from office. lauren: fox news' allison barber has the latest from washington. good morning. >> reporter: democrats say senate republicans are subverting the constitution, refusing to be impartial jurors. republicans say it's about partisan politics, not the constitution, not justice. >> i think what's best for the country is get this thing over with. i clearly made up my mind. i'm not trying to hide the fact that i have disdane for the accue cases and the process -- accusations and the processes. i'm ready to vote. >> the question is, why are the republicans placing this president above their hope of office. >> i hope to hell, judge, if it were barack obama, i would vote to impeach him. >> reporter: the full house is expected to take up articles of impeachment on wednesday and likely impeach presiden presidep before christmas. in january, all eyes will turn to the trial. many senior official failed to

probe into the fbi's russia investigation. he found no political evidence but did uncover evidence of serious errors made by the bureau when obtaining a warrant to surveil an advisor. john durham's investigation will reportedlied wrap up by this spring. cheryl: president trump hinting at jail time for james comey after he admitted he was wrong in the fisa process. he appeared with chris wallace days after the inspector general report was made. >> he's right, there was sloppiness, 17 things that should have been in the applications or at least discussed and characterized differently. it was not acceptable. so he's right, i was wrong. cheryl: president trump was watching. here's what he tweeted. comey is admitting he was wrong. he's only doing so because he was caught red handed.

he was caught a long time ago. what are the consequences for his unlawful conduct? could it be years in jail. where are the apologies to me and others? lauren: local union leaders and democratic committee looking to solve a contract dispute that threatens to postpone democratic debates scheduled for thursday. all seven candidates who qualified said they won't cross the picket line between the host, lo and unions representing workers. cheryl: we mentioned this at the top of the show, there's a stock to watch today and it is boeing. the dow component got more trouble going on. lauren: tracee carrasco here now with the reason why. tracee, good morning. tracee: as uncertainty continues over when the still grounded fleet of 737 max jets will return to service, boeing is reportedly considering cutting back or temporarily suspending production of the aircraft. boeing management is reportedly seeing a production pause as the

best option even though it could increase boeing's cost per plane and potentially mean job cuts and furloughs. the 737 max has been grounded worldwide since march following two deadly crashes. well, north korea's calling for a year-ended line for the u.s. to make concessions in stalled nuclear talks, something a senior u.s. diplomat says he won't accept. u.s. special representative for north korea urged north korea to return to the negotiating table immediately and said the united states does not have a deadline. well, secretary of defense, mark esper, is visiting belgium and luxembourg to participate in events marking the 75th anniversary of the battle of the bulge. he will lead the u.s. presidential delegation and provide remarks during events at the memorial in bel belgium ande american military cemetery in luxembourg. it was another big weekend for the nfl. the buffalo bills are heading to the playoffs following a 17-10

both issues. let's bring in james carafano. let's start with the comments from the mexican official. he's saying there's no way they'll allow inspectors on mexican soil, these are labor inspection that was put in the deal. this is democratic language that was added. this could be a big issue. what's your take? >> as i understand, there's some latitude in how that provision would be implemented. my guess actually is this is going to he blow over and just be a speed bump. cheryl: that's good to hear. we obviously have to get ratification here. the other big story besides the usmca, it was a big week for the president on busines the busine, china, there's some concern they didn't put in writing the $50 billion in agricultural purchases. chuck schumer coming out, saying

president trump sold out to the chinese. phase one deal, markets are celebrating. from a policy he perspective, should we be celebrating? >> it's a mixed thin. the confrontation between the united states and china is far from over. the president has gotten the chinese's attention. i think that's remarkable. we'll see $100 billion in new business. that's good. and i think most importantly, companies are starting to rethink doing business with china and doing business in china. so we've seen diversification of supply chains and people i think taking different risks. it's not a cost free trade deal. we had to pay for tariffs. we had to bail out farmers. i don't think it's a sustainable strategy over time. and we haven't addressed the big issues like ip theft. so it's the first battle in a long-running thing. in the short term it's good news for the administration. cheryl: robert lighthizer talked about this, he said phase

one deal, it is totally, quote, done. he said u.s. exports to china will double over the next couple years. lighthizer's a big voice in this. he is the one that's digging into the details of this deal with the chinese. >> right. i think the tariff -- a lot of us disputed whether a lot of the tariffs were legally appropriate. it's not a sustainable strategy over time. we have a growing economy and so tariffs are bearable. we pay a cost for them. it's resetting the relationship with china and fundamentally changing chinese behavior. this is the first step in that. we have to address the ip issues. we have to address the predatory practices, unfair market access issues. i think the administration has got china's attention. the fact that chai chinese cameo the table and did a deal, they don't want the he details of the deal to come out, that shows that they did not come out of this in a strong position. cheryl: real quick, i don't have a lot of time, i want you

to listen to layer hely kudlow talking --larry cud loan kudlowo maria bartiromo yesterday. >> there's a large ip issue in this deal. i don't think we know enough about the new chinese rules. we'll have to look at that. by the way, if they violate, then of course we will take action. that's part of the enforcement mechanism in the deal. cheryl: quick he reaction, rea. >> we haven't seen the deal. we don't know any of that. in the short term, i think the benefit is markets will be calm, stability in the short term, i think that's good for the president, good for the economy. i think the administration is clear-eyed on this. there's not an expectation that china is going to roll over in the future. there are tariff threats, other roll back threats. i think it's the first step in a long confrontation, long overdue, starting down this path. cheryl: thank you for your perspective on all this. big week for the president last

>> this is a bit of a follow-up on a story we had last week about people spam calling you and all these things. now they're taking all of these data breaches that we've heard about, they're taking the data from those data breaches, which can sometimes be personal, it could be your credit card number, it could be your passwords, your e-mail address. so the hackers have enough of your personal information so when they get you on the phone, they're better able to fool you into falling for whatever kind of scam that they're trying to sell you. so it's another -- it's like a doubling down on the hackers and of course we're a week an a coue days away from christmas so a lot of people have been doing online shopping, so it wouldn't be out of character for a retailer to call you and say your credit card, the transaction didn't go through, could we get that number from you again. cheryl: this is a person that's calling you, not the robocall recorded voice.

>> right, like an actual, one of those call centers where the people don't sound like anything is there. interesting, though, google has -- they've had this as an extension in chrome for a while, it's a password checker. when you put in the password, they're going to say this is a good password or a bad password or this password has been stolen. there's a massive database from the hacks that links the user names and passwords that have been stolen. it's aneit's an encrypted datab. you don't have to worry about your pas password being stolen y google. it's checked against a database and go google will tell you this password has been used somewhere else, you should change it. lauren: make it hard, just make sure you remember. in time for the holidays, michigan is making porch piracy a felony, starting today. >> a felony starting today. so if you're thinking about stealing your holiday gifts from someone's curb, you should maybe

and then you have you a bearish calls out there. where do you stand. >> last time i was on, back in november, i was saying another 5 to 10% and got a big wow from the crowd. so i'm still predicting that same movement up from that initial level. so another couple percentage points through the end of the year, hello santa claus rally, and another 5% into the first quarter, absolutely could happ happen. bank of america and i are on the same page as far as this one goes. lauren: how is it possible that the economy and the stock market particularly, after 25% gains in 2019, can be up so much in 2020? and there's a note out from bank of america this morning and it says, david, that the market is primed for a melt-up in the first part of 2020, 5.2% gain for the s&p 500 by march 3rd. that is super tuesday. >> well, absolutely. what you have is, you have a

such he'll things going for you. number one is you've got the fear of missing out, santa claus rally. then you go into the first part of the year when 401-k plans, money comes back in, you saw the last five months that individual investors have been pulling money out of stock equity funds and so then you're a ceo and you're saying hey these deals are starting to come down, so you have a lot of positive sentiment that's not fullly priced into the market. obviously, what's going to happen in the back half of the year, still to be seen. lauren: if there is a democratic sweep, if you have a democrat in the white house, if you have a democratic held house and senate, which is a possibility, it's something that goldman sachs has looked into, they're predicting if that happens, david, you're going to have the s&p at 2600, down 17% by the end of 2020. >> obviously, the market is going to price in a major change

finc. this is something that so many people have said to the democratss in the past, look what happened during the bill clinton impeachment, it hurt the republicans, the democrats seem to be doing the same thing now and they're going to potentially suffer in 2020. how do you respond to this new fox news poll? >> i think 44% is nothing to celebrate, when reagan had an economy like this, he won 49 states. cheryl: but it's on the rise. i thinks that's the big news here. >> but again, it's nothing to celebrate. the other thing that's on the rise is the number of people the that say that he should be impeached and removed from office. 53% say that he abused his power. even more say what he did was wrong. and as casey musgraves would say, i'm all right with a slow burn. he's still deep underwater with a pool of suburban women, down 24 points, down 14 points with independents, not a lot of good news especially with the roaring economy for president trump. cheryl: i think the poll numbers overall, still, 53%

saying impeachment but that's been steady through the whole process so it hasn't moved. seems like people have picked their side. what do you make of the fact that poll numbers are showing approval rating is going up. there is a record stock market, a trade deal, usmca, his business winnings have been somewhat strong. >> that's exactly right. i don't care what national polls say on this issue. i care about what swing state polls say on this issue. in swing state poll after poll across the country, unaffiliated voters' support for impeachment is collapsing. the democrats know that. that's why they're rushing to get it done and immediately pass usmca and pass the new budget. they know this is a terrible issue for them and the poll after poll in local races show that the president is going to win these swing states. so when she talks about what reagan did in 1984, i think trump is going to get pretty close to that if you look at the swing state polls.

cheryl: i want to correct myself. the fox news poll is 50% now say impeachment, remove the president, 50%. i want to move on to the next thing, the new fox news poll that shows joe biden still seems to be the number one candidate for those democrats that want to beat president trump but mike bloomberg, fourth spot, what do you make of that? >> he's spending the message, getting his message out. -- spending the money, getting the message out. he's on the radar and we'll see more of him in the months to come. he's unafraid to write the check and get the message out to voters. there's an opportunity for president trump with the impeachment because with this roaring economy, he should be out there championing his positives. he's not able to do that. this is a time where usually the opposition is cutting into one another. america is focused on impeachment and the president's abuse of power. so not great for him. a huge opportunity for -- while the democrats are avoiding

fighting one another and are in lockstep and moving forward unsay they'd. cheryl: ted, i want to pivot over to bernie sanders, he's upset that he's being compared to jeremy corbyn in the u.k., the socialist versus capitalist type of thing. what do you make of bernie sanders being on the defensive on being called socialist of all things. >> he's been a socialist in the united states senate for his entire year. he's afraid about the fact that corbyn is more moderate than he is. i think the reason why the democrats are worried about this impeachment issue is because it's taking away the narrative from these candidates that are running so hard to the left that it's embarrassing the party and that's why bloomberg is getting in, because he realizes that the field is so weak that they have no other choice than th to brinn a bloomberg from new york city. cheryl: we'll see how it plays out.

lauren: the east and west coasts are often thought of as hubs for millionaires. traverse city, michigan, a small city, 140 miles north of grand rapids, is home to 6,000 millennial millionaires. trevor takash is here. thanks for joining us. who knew so many people lived in zip code 49215. are you the new 90210? >> maybe a little better than that. lauren: oh, why? >> i think everybody wants to live here right now. it's a pretty great place, no matter what age or revenue level you're at. lauren: what's a t -- what's so great about traverse city, michigan? you have a lot of restaurants, wine ries, breweries?

>> it's a great indoor and outdoor experience. there's trails for hiking, biking, waterway trails, fresh water, of course, beautiful beaches and sleeping bear dunes national lakeshore, so a lot to do outdoors. as you say, the breweries, farm to table table experienceses. it's a rural space with big city sophistication. lauren: the work, life balance is certainly enabled. let me ask you this question. are the millennials that live there, do they also work there or do they work remotely for other places, maybe some silicon valley places? >> you're seeing a nice blend. we're the city center for northern michigan. so there are a lot of great jobs. the hospital is here, some great administrative positions. this is a tech incubator now too. there's a lot of interest in recruiting people from you across the country to establish

startups here, a lot of venture capital money coming into the area. yeah you're seeing some people working remotely but that's turning into job koreaation in traverse -- job creation in traverse city. lauren: how is that impacting the affordability of housing? >> like anything else, supply and demand, we're building and becoming a more accessible space but we're doing it in a sustainable way. we cherish our natural resources and the great things that make this is a special place. it's a balance. but i've seen a healthy growth rate here. i've lived here most of my life, came back when i started my family. so definitely a great place for millennials. retirees, all types are coming to traverse city. lauren: are millennials buying homes or renting in traverse city? >> i'd say they're buying now. if you look at the east coast, west coast, especially tech spaces, those homes, the real estate in those markets are

reading a spoiler and they'll give you a free whopper. you don't want to get -- you don't know if it's a real spoiler or not. some people haven't seen the trailer because they want to go in and not know anything. it's kind of an interesting ad cam page, not directly -- campaign, not directly affiliating with star wars. lauren: we mentioned with tracee carrasco that frozen 2 is the sixth billion dollar blockbuster movie for disney. with a yo few days left in 2019, this could be number seven in one year. >> disney has been crushing it with the box office this year, they're hope the rise of skywalker will be the seventh one. it comes out december 19th, so you figure about 10, 11 days to try to get that billion dollar mark. the force awakens was able to do it in december of 2015. we'll see if it can happen. disney making those moves this year. cheryl: real quick, there's a
