president. the senate has confirmed 174 judges nominated by president trump including two justices to the supreme court. 50 appellate court judges. president trump making history and delivering on his campaign promises as no other president and achieving so much for the working men and women, cutting taxes, millions of jobs, raising wages, growing our economy, shrinking welfare as a result. as these are not only good times they are great. and they are rolling. >> we had a very big day in the stock market as you know, it will be 133 days where we set a new record. our whole country is thriving, it is thriving like never before in the jobs numbers are incredible, less than 51 years,

let's turn to the house impeachment vote coming this week, two charges, they milked the charges as ever we have seen them, president of charges, no crime and the charges. your thoughts. >> it's an impeachment about nothing, i think the president in the white house and those who support the rule of law should try to stop it and were being told it's inevitable but we should try to stop it. >> one way to stop it is to increase the penalty for doing it which is to make sure adam schiff is set to go before the senate and testify and be held to account for his misconduct in terms of his communication and staff medication with a whistleblower with leaker and obtaining a publishing the private foreign record that the president's lawyers and other innocent americans. >> it's likely only nancy pelosi could stop it now.

what pressure, what persuasion could you bring to bear or do you recommend be brought to bear to blunt the blow. >> that would be the key pressure at this point in my view which is to make it clear that there handling impeachment on trial, not donald trump in the senate and the senate should say this is not going anywhere, there is misconduct into a degree were gonna do an investigation in the senate, it'll be of adam schiff. lou: it might be important, i think, to remind people of seeing chuck schumer that this is unprecedented in another respect, this is going after president, not in a second term in the first term, that is something, i think that they might regret even more because they are sure to fail and sure to be longer-lasting consequences of the colossal affront to the american people in the constitution.

secretary chad wolf. good to have you with us. let's start with illegals getting drivers licenses in new york state. dhs thoughts? >> i think the dangerous part about that if you read it closely and prohibits homeland security investigation and cbp from utilizing dmv data, they're investigating cases, building cases, looking at suspects, they will not have the available da data, as they're investigating terrorism, child pornography charges, human trafficking and human smuggling and the like is a serious crime but they will not be able to utilize this so it makes a dangerous for law enforcement and dangerous for those communities. a lot of folks are looking up getting drivers license for illegal aliens, i think that's important and what i'm focused on is how it impacts the men and women and how it prohibits him from doing the job. >> i'm focused on what it does to the iraqi people imposed upon

them. the democratic party has become the party of open borders, illegal immigration without consequence but even more than that with amnesty. your sense right now about the security of the border, where three years into this, your judgment on where we stand and what we still need to do. >> the border is more secure today than it was three years ago. we are still in the middle of the border crisis, and we still have over 40000 folks coming across the board illegally every month and dhs is putting in a number of programs in place working with the central american partners in the government of mexico trying to do more to cut the incentives and pull factors about individuals who do cross the board illegal into certain pathways and enforcement actions so the not released into the country and we been to catch and release and taken a number of steps, the department has come a long way in the past five or six

months to make sure there's an enforcement action for individuals across the board illegally. >> that was just a phrase in which he said but ending catch and release is a phrase that we should make it the end of the sentence or two because that's critically important to affect security at the border. >> that's a full factor, so individuals coming across the border know they can stay in the u.s. prolonged period of time, they will keep coming and we saw that back in april, may and june where we saw over 144,000 folks crossing the border. what we have done at the direction of the president is to cut the incentives to make sure individuals crossing the border to have process that we put them in certain pathways and make them wait mexico or put them in other enforcement actions so again making sure they have complete due process in the design is to make sure we root out those with fondren claims, the vast majority of folks are coming for economic reasons and

their abusing the asylum process. we want to make sure we root out the fraud so we can get protections to those who need it. i think it is working. >> if it's working that is new in a major development. i want to go back to new york, this time for snakes and vermin which is what the new york times: missed call those who support the trump immigration policy. snakes and vermin. your reaction to that language and that view? >> it is not surprising from the new york times but what i will say, it is disgusting and ignorant comment, as i leave them in women of dhs, 240,000 who are enforcing the law protecting the country in providing border security in doing their job day in and day out at the direction of the president in protecting the american people every person across this country and have them be cast in the light as i

indicated is disgusting, they do their job each and every day and put their lives on the line and the like and do that because enforcing the rule of law means something, enforcing border security means something. we will continue to ask them to do their job in their patriots they do each and every day and i'm here to take the arrows for them and happy to do it. and we need to let them do their job. lou: absolutely, you wonder what that columnist might think if the columnist were to take account of the number of people who die as a result of drugs particularly opioids, fentanyl and other drugs across the border, trafficking along with human smuggling, as you said ignorant as hell. >> i added the last part. >> the cartels are not only trafficking individuals but it's illicit drugs, and the like.
