absurd. and so has been this entire process which is nothing more than an effort to overthrow this president under the guise of an impeachment inquiry and process that culminates in a trial that gets under way in earnest next tuesday. >> i think you have seen with the supreme court chief justice john roberts and senator mitch mcconnell a sort of dignity restored to this process after the circus we have seen in the house the last several weeks. i think mitch mcconnell doesn't think much of this evidence and he wanted to move the trial along speedily. the facts are going to be so different when we hear the president's side of the case and what we know now. as for witnesses for the democrats. watch what you wish for.
