it turned into a beautiful three years, and i think five more for sure. that's it for us tonight. thanks for being with us. have a great evening. good night from new york. trish: tonight the evidence is clear. you know the dems are not going to win in 2020 because there is something fundamental they don't get. they don't get america. they don't seem to like americans. i'm trish regan. you want to know how i know this? it's because of what they say. there was a moment on cnn that pretty much summed up exactly how they feel. exactly how the left feels. exactly how the mainstream media feels about everyday americans who dare to think differently than them. >> donald trump couldn't find ukraine on the map if you haved letter u on the map with a

trying to do things the right way. trying to earn enough money to put their kids through college and save a little bit for retirement. and this is fundamentally their problem. it's them and every candidate right now running on the left. that's what we keep seeing. i want to show you some sound from elizabeth warren the other evening getting con fronted by one of these people i'm talking about that's trying do everything right. he paid for his kid's college. now she wants to suffer loan forgive -- we want to pair of loan forgiveness going forward. >> my daughter gratd waited.
5:03 pm
trish: laughing you see because apparently there is some way to beat the system. and the people in the middle are increasingly as you said -- the ones that get you know what. so increasingly what we have become is this. i don't know if you can see it. it's an hourglass economy where you have a lot of people on the top. you have got a lot of people on the bottom. these are the people collecting the handouts from government. then the people in the middle. the people like that guy that worked his tail off, multiple jobs to put his daughter through school. his daughter who has been working since she was 10 years old saving her money. you have every day americans
5:04 pm
trying to do things the right way. along comes elizabeth warren and bernie sanders and joe biden and aoc saying we are going to reinvent the wheel. forget the fact that america is the number one economy in the world, and we have gotten there thanks to capitalism and good old-fashioned hard work. they want to change it all. they want to say anybody who wants to come to america we'll open the floodgates. come in and we'll give you free healthcare fan free tuition in college. it goes on and on, the freebies keep going. but someone has to pay for it. you know who gets short changed? people like that man. he had the smarts to confront elizabeth warren about it. what america needs to do is confront all the democrats with there is. not only who is running for president, but who is running

for congress and who is running for senate. they want a way of life, a system that won't work for everyone, and certainly will not work for those people in the middle. as much as they tell us they are all about the middle class. they are not about the middle class. they will bankrupt the middle class so they can pay for foreigners to come up through our borders to vote for them because it's about power. and that's a dangerous thing. joining me with reaction to all of this is house judiciary committee member, the congressman from florida, matt gaetz. this is what bugs me. i am not being political about it. i'm talking economics here and how we continue growing as a country. and we help the people in the middle. it has nothing to do, i say fundamentally with politics and nothing to do with economic

prosperity. i don't believe aoc or bernie sanders or elizabeth warren have a clue about economic prosperity and don't care about it. what's your thoughts? >> there is a war on prosperity in the democratic primary. the good news is that donald trump is presiding over a blue collar boom in our country. we are seeing wealth aaccumulated and wages rising faster for people who have the blue collar jobs who want to play by the rules and insure their family has a fair shake. don lemon is not a journalist. he's a hack. he's cnn professional eye roller. trish: he was laughing so hard -- >> it's indicative of the fact they have contempt not just for this president, not just for his

people. and to think that cnn is out there making fun of them like they did last night and frankly every other day, it's notoriety. >> donald trump isn't just leading a campaign. he's presiding over a political movement. that's why we have only gained strength leading into 2020 and this impeachment sham is intensifying our support for our transformational president. we are seeing a trade deal in our hemisphere. standing up to china. president trump ending our involvement in the syrian civil car. the elements of an american nationalist economic agenda paired with a realistic view of the world where we kill the terrorists and come home to bring the resources to our country. that will fuel a transformational victory in 2020.
5:09 pm
after the democrats impeached trump and he comes back and wins anyway. wait until we get a load of donald trump in his second term. i think we'll be even more transformative in the way we change washington, d.c. and america. trish: this is why it's important that people are motivated. i would argue they put us in a constitutional crisis. nancy pelosi hang on to the darn articles of impeachment possibly getting us closer and closer to that constitutionality crisis. finally turning them over to the senate. but what cracks me up is they are going on and on and on about how they want to bring witnesses. they had the opportunity to bring witnesses and they did not take it. >> democrats do not have a compelling case factually and they have to manufacture a bombshell dejur d'jour.
5:10 pm
i think that they are showing through these impeachment proceedings how far they have gotten away from the kitchen table issues that will lead to the reelection of the president. trish: you want to know who helped ukraine. it wasn't president trump. >> you nailed it. donald trump delivered the lethal aid to the ukraine that president obama wouldn't do because he didn't want to frighten russia. president trump tough engagement where necessary. but a realistic view of the world where we are not going to handing the 21st century over to china. trish: coming up. democrats and the liberal media fawning over john bolton's new bombshell. but should they be celebrating?

and i have a lot of sources and i talked to a lot of people. during the height of that crisis, i was fielding all kinds of phone calls from all kinds of sources saying what the heck is wrong with john bolton? he didn't get it. they blamed him for a lost opportunity there in venezuela. because he was note listening to our intel sources on the ground. people who spent 0 years in venezuela and -- spent 20 years in venezuela and knew the ins and outs. and the constant complaint i heard from multiple sources is for bolton it's his way or the highway. this is the guy who was involved in trying to take out chavez. and he was unsuccessful on that attempt as well. at some point you have got to say, i need to listen to people around me. i may have ply view of how things are. but i'm only as good as my team.
