for tickets. kristen fisher is in wildwood and has the latest for us. >> i have been to a least trump rallies recently. but the crowd and the location really stands out. this is the jersey shore in january. it's typically a ghost town this time of year. but inside the wildwood convention center, there are no seats, the capacity about 7,000 people. not nearly enough to hold the thousands of people camped out some since sunday at 2:00 p.m. they waited two days and two nights to get in here tonight. the other thing, jersey shore january, a lot of places are typically closed. hotels have reopened. many of them are sold out. bars and restaurants have reopened and offering drink

specials like the maga-ita. so there is a party vibe i haven't quite seen at some of the other rallies. the primary reason president trump is coming here tonight is to campaign for congressman chris van drew. he's democrat turned republican. he was a democrati democratic cn who opposed impeachment. and this is his district. president trump wanted to come here to help him win. i just spoke to someone with the trump campaign. the campaign views van drew as just one of many democrats, democrats around the country have become disillusions with what is happening in the country

with impeachment. lou: a lot of excitement. and the congressman apparently made the right choice switching to the republican party there. in wildwood, new jersey. new jersey is a blue state. the president doesn't care. he seems to want to make it red. today the centers for disease control warning americans to avoid all non-essential travel to china. it's aninit's d it's aning expaf last week's warning. most of the more than 5,500 confirmed cases of the virus are also in china. but the virus has been confirmed in 16 other countries, including five cases here in the united states.

4:05 am
president. doctor, it's great to have you with us. i want to focus on the number of cases that expand to 5,500 in china. 131 deaths. your analysis of what that means for the chinese? >> it reflects this an evolving, expanding situation in china. and i would expect the numbers to continue to go up. the real question will be the dramatic effort the chinese are taking in china to contain that epidemic which isn't going to be successful. that's something that we have no guarantee. the expanding numbers are clearly reflective of an outbreak that's accelerating. lou: the number of cases in this country remain confirmed at
4:06 am
five. but now we learn there are more than 100 suspected cases in the united states. so my question to you is, do you have a profile of those 100 suspected cases, men, women, age, et cetera. and get your thoughts on that. >> i think you used the word suspected. it might be a little bit misleading. those are the contacts of the individuals who have been documented to be infected. you used the word suspected. but it may be not any of them have had infection. they may be just contact. in some respects that's good because the cdc is casting a wide net to investigate those who come into contact with those
4:07 am
we know are definitely infected. lou: i appreciate you straightening that out. we also have more good news in the sense none of the deaths from the coronavirus have occurred outside of china. >> i don't think we can make much of that, lou. the fatality rate in china is about 3% to 4%. you are talking about 3,000 cases. so the numbers alone in people outside of the china who are infected, i would not put anything in the fact that the deaths are even lower. so i don't want to get feeling too good about that. but the denominator is still

they want john bolton to testify. lindsey graham wants to see the bolton manuscript. pat toomey wants to make a deal with the dimms. mitch mcconnell confirmed he does not have the votes to block witnesses from testifying in this farce. joining us now, house minority leader kevin mccarthy. let's start with the word we just received from the senate. mitch mcconnell says he does not have sufficient votes in the senate to stop witnesses being called. your thoughts? >> i think that's disappointing. that's not the role for the senate. if they are thinking because the "new york times" on the last day puts an article out that says they might have heard something bolton said because he's selling a book makes no difference.
4:17 am
adam schiff inside the house didn't even subpoena bolton. and it doesn't change the outcome. you have the transcripts of the call. ukraine got the money. ukraine did nothing to get the money. the idea of what they will do to keep moving forward on this to get more witnesses, that's not their role. chairman nadler said on impeachment we have proven it beyond a shadow of a doubt. the senate is supposed to judge the case, note try to make it something different by bringing witnesses in. lou: alan dershowitz giving a brilliant dissertation on the law and the constitutionality. saying straightforwardly. that no matter john bolton has

4:20 am
bipartisan. now you are going over to the senate. the idea they listened to the house managers and listened to the president's defense? to vote this down and move forward. the american people expect to us get to work. fentanyl, the senate has actually taken up the bill. we only have 9 days left. it will get rated at a lower level. judiciary committee has not taken that up at all. the entire time has been on impeachment. the chairman of judiciary. that's yes ran for it. apparently that's all they have done. >> it's stunning. when we look at what should have been examined by the senate judiciary committee. and you do recall senator lindsey graham said he will be investigating.
4:21 am
his statement about flexibility as he communicated that from the prime minister to vladimir putin. he could be more flexible after the election. within two years russia was in charge and had taken crimea and had troops on the eastern borders. no investigation. he turns over $150 billion to the iranians, leaves a pallet of cash on a tarmac in iran. and there isn't an investigation. obama is accused of seven times violating the law. not a single investigation. and this judiciary committee under republican control and the chairmanship of lindsey graham hasn't taken up one moment of its time to find out what the truth is. >> every day we learn something more about another bide be

4:24 am
about. there is nothing the president has done but a superb job. he should be lauded for it not impeached. lou: i don't think it american people will forget convenient tt the venom and the allegations tearing apart this impeachment farce. >> politics is about quid pro quos. nancy pelosi did quid pro quos to get the healthcare bill. and this president does good deals like he's doing today. lou: and he does great rallies. 100,000 people trying to get into the venue at the wildwood convention center. and they put big screens.
4:25 am
all of those who were disappointed they couldn't get in, they are watching on those in somewhat cooler weather. >> people camped out sunday afternoon, 2:00 sunday afternoon with sleeping bags for two days to get into the event. lou: that's a good indicator for the radical dimms who assaulted this president for three years. the people of america seem to be with this president in even stronger numbers. there is not a democrat who can come close to getting a fraction of his audiences. the president of the united states, donald john trump.
