and the timing was very suspicious, i would say, surrounding john bolton's firing and when the whistleblower complaint came out we noted someone on schiff's staff met with the whistleblower. a recent member of schiff's staff came from the nsc and bolton's manuscript was leaked by some people at the nsc. at what point do we investigate the person who was alleged to have done this in the first place? >> in this system of government we have the right to face our accuser. if they want to continue the anonymity of the whistleblower. let's have at the whistleblower in a scif in a secret session. but it's conducted fairly with the president's counsel and the prosecution. that has not been done. lit not be done. there is a reason for it.
