who would highlight the market again. down 603 points today. selling off the last hour that coronavirus and the press conference from the president, from his team on the private on the virus. it starts now. the bulls bear. >> the president has signed a proclamation using his authority percent to 212f. the immigration and nationality act. temporarily descending, the entry into the united states, the foreign nationals proposing a risk of transmitting the 2000 in 19 coronavirus. >> is talking about the corona virus. and he fears that is spreading as wall street kind of nervous as the u.s. declares that a public health emergency and enforces no entry restrictions. stocks plunged of the doubt died nearly 700 points did that 603

points and down flipping out all of its 2020 games worries intense height of the impact of the coronavirus on an already weakened global economy. everybody, this is bulls and bears, glad you could join us. i am david enjoyed me, adam and jacky and gary and john. also joining us life from iowa, my buddy, mr. neil. good to see you know. i invite thank you. david: investors woke up from these worsening updates from china. confirmed cases in at least 213 confirmed deaths. this is the white house and it says it's going to bar entry to foreign nationals because any kind of trance mission risk. so i'm wondering if the markets sell off today. our investors just try to get ahead of the worst case scenario

40 think. his stomach you can be right. they could refuse to sell. he suspects might be other reasons for this. the slowdown in manufacturing. maybe some things slightly there. but it might be an opportunity for people who have some pretty heavy gains just to sort of get out of dodge. and of course there is this idea to on sunday, it's actually ironically during the super bowl, some of these big markets in shanghai that open up. they've been closed really too much of this. this is the first chance to open up and likely sell into this. so they can complicate things. or at least accelerate things come sunday night. that of course would be the morning on day of training. all these factors combined together, during the side of selling first and then asking questions later. melissa: some information coming out is more alarming. markets have brace for
5:03 pm
volatility d. more than 200 deaths in china was the necessarily good news. it also news that somebody in the united states and had it. they had traveled to china or showing that there could be transmission of the virus. you think that is heightened. >> i know when we got the first hint of human to human. david: human to human contact, on top of the similar incident ending it and adding at least two other countries. and when that may be by that nature alone of the airborne, could continue to grow. and the fact, you hear so much about this important day. that a lot of traveling, who didn't exhibit signs at the airport customs when they arrived could exhibit them labor later. i think the people got a sense of the magnitude or the potential magnitude of that. and said this is now fully a crisis in the white house has said woodhouse to that effect.
5:04 pm
and from the cbc, these are all folks who are our grain. and in doing so, to provide the means through which the medical community and the worldwide can provide funds. especially those developing countries who need it. and also maybe it may escalate into something else. >> i'm wondering, looking back over the span of market history, we see these bad tariffs them is bring the markets down for days or weeks. and then typically, when things return to normal, soon as the market. how should we be telling people to think about a down 600-point a on, promotions. norman thing. david: you know these numbers are better than i. even looking at the market in the doubt down more than 600 toys. i think it's like three and half percent from a week ago.
5:05 pm
a little perspective is in order here. i would also he to add, the sar s back in 2003, even in the case of the other viruses, the initial shock will fall off. in 911 and the markets dipped and tanked and ultimately they found the footing. that is sort of a pattern here. it's hard to gauge with this one is this is a virus vaccine, if you will will take longer than it did in the case of sar s. then his people worried. and the fact it also led to quarantine and that 60 million individuals in china. that is unprecedented. this is the kind of things and people think about. and what is really going on here. it adds fuel to this fire. and clearly selling fire.
5:06 pm
you know and therefore the charming weather that they in iowa. we had president trump in iowa yesterday. and he was talking about and i awful. everybody is focused on the democratic caucuses there is a new poll then he liked to talk about. let's play the sound and then get your reaction to it. >> did you see they did a new york times poll. siena, new york times. of iowa. they had be pitted against everyone of the socialists. and we are winning by a lot, everyone, we are beating them all. david: is calling all of the democratic candidates socialists. he says that they'll have socialists platforms. the bottom line here neil is that the impeachment it seems, the concerns or worries that
5:07 pm
some republicans had is not affecting trump at all elise in the polls. david: he won the state by ten points in a narrowly lost in new hampshire. by a few thousand votes. so take your pick there. if you look at the national polls, when he is running against hillary clinton, he was traveling, is doing very well in the battleground states which she paid very little attention to it. so sometime should be very careful. but in iowa his very popular. it's ironic considering the fact that he was in lyssa wright trade work with chinese. and that farmers were still hoping for the best. and now he helped them for it by providing the terror revenue to this sort of cushion the blow for them. but allowing for all of that and hope for this usmc a deal and then. certainly, great canadians and mexicans in the chinese making goods on their commitments.
5:08 pm
i ate add, do you back to this virus, there are a lot of people wondering china were to slip into a slowdown or an outright recession, it can be relied on to keep his word. it might night not be able to keep on his word. i don't think were there there yet. i suspect factor into some of the selling. >> haven't we seen this playbook before. and as we get to the primaries and caucuses, people actually more subtle and in terms of what they're actually looking for. in the be more vocal regarding their particular choices. when he was a veteran as you pointed out, in terms of signing of the usmc a and getting the china trade deal done. there's less uncertainty, in the minds of voters. wouldn't that be a contributing factor. >> i think it would they can't
5:09 pm
prove that one way or another but i do think i have notice here in iowa that people are beginning to submit their positions. i'm not smart enough to know if that surge that bernie sanders is happening. but if you look at the last 24 or 48 hours, all of a sudden he went from number four to carry the state. we've seen it as well with people are coming together at just the right time. barack obama in 2008 and carried the state easily. and though he would go on to lose a new hampshire. in a close battle. in the winter and spring and the convention. things can change. but i do sense in this case, tubing point, people are beginning to make up their minds and cement their positions. not only does this apply to the state. but not necessarily whoever winds here, this will be judged
5:10 pm
in the number of boys normally who winds the popular vote, takes the delegates ultimately when they're counted up. and you go from district to district. they could be very different. you might have multiple winners come out of the state. and some will say i had i won this or i was the peoples of first vote choice. i don't want to be long-winded about it but just to say that this is one of the state that even though people are coming together under they like, it doesn't mean that several people can emerge from the state. on who they like. david: very quickly please. gary. >> neil, it's a historic day. the first time in 21 years, i am asking you a question. join the spot a little bit. you been watching politics almost as long as i have. if you to say right now, in your crystal ball, think will be the democratic nominee at the end. and can he hurt pete trump.
5:11 pm
>> i'm hedging here are ready. you with the momentum seems to be. bernie sanders. they put joe biden be unable. i could be very wrong in this. but i do think it can be very hard and especially now given a portion of the way that they do this with the democratic party to make sure that everyone gets at least 15 percent, gazette percentage in the caucus in the primaries. you can arrive with many vote and they making it impossible for somebody to win the first ballot. and therein lies the problem. and in the second battle, that is the least and out in this adequately rolled out by other people. but not me. >> and that is what mr. bloomberg is some inc. which are right, that's really the genesis for the campaign. >> i can't get enough of you
5:12 pm
know. i could talk a whole hour. and have a chance to talk a lot tomorrow because i'm going to be on with you. and it's going to be on from 10:00 a.m. tomorrow on the fox news channel. and that by the way is our special coverage coming next week to the cairo caucuses beginning on monday but on saturday from 10:00 a.m. until i guess it's until 1:00 p.m., neil is going to be on live from iowa. it will be covering the impeachment trial if that is still going on but we will see you then neil. thanks a million for joining us today. and coming up next, more of the deadly coronavirus sending checks into our freefall. stay with us.

some americans could even face pointing. in chicago, and au pair international airport. >> in addition to those people who will be allowed into the country at all, americans returning from the province of china were this outbreak from china. from hubane and people coming from other parts of china, will be monitored and self quarantined two weeks. we are here at o'hare international airport. this is where the busiest in the country and will also become one of seven air force cross-country the screening process will take place. where flights from china will be funneled and they can screen is passengers. before this public health emergency was declared, all three major airlines with flights between the u.s. and china, already made the decision to stop those flights. american will do it immediately. and united and delta will do it on february 62 give the
5:17 pm
opportunity for people who are already in china and want to come back to the states will be able to do that. here at o'hare we notice a lot more people wearing masks and you would ordinarily see. so the airplanes airways are taking extra precautions. and the travelers are taking precautions of their own. people who are just getting on domestic flights are doing this. >> you a mask with you. you normally want one. >> no but now with the coronavirus coming to the united states, i want to protect myself. i'm not gotten the flu and i don't want it. i don't how i don't care how strange it looks. >> public health officials are reiterating that the risk to the public still open as one official said earlier today, it's better to overreact to something like this than 200 react. david: affairs of the outbreak having a wild swing in the stocks.

all of the gains, center for infection and immunity at colombia university. just to get out there, what is your worst fear about what could happen with this virus in the united states pretty. >> it could go nationwide. although we have better protections. and we are better prepared to deal with it. our biggest fear is that the whole nation is targeting the printed. >> i'm going to ask you a very selfish question. i hope in the service of all of our listeners everyone here, i am scheduled to have a drink with the gentleman who is flying in from janet turn into hours. should i go ahead with the
5:19 pm
meeting. >> flying into china flying from china. >> is arriving in san francisco today from china. >> if you don't touch him or hug him, then is fine. >> and wear a mask. maybe do one of these. is what the doctor is saying. >> we all live in new york city, where at the subway working on the streets. some people here are wearing the facemasks as well. do the best really work as a protective device. in the second question is, one of your fears you said is a panic sets in. is that sort of stoke the fire wearing those apparatus walking around the cities. you see people like that you start to get scared. >> these people, some are sick already in the people who have the flu, if they are wearing the mask, you won't under effect of
5:20 pm
the people. other using the mask in the proper way in the right kind. but these are the more things or the formation for everyone. also in the people see somebody getting a mask, they may start thinking that this person is sick. another possibilities there worried about themselves. so people are getting panicked. especially in cities of new york. sooner or later, there will be a case in our city, maybe or maybe not. at the time is maybe a little bit more about panicking. the precautions are similar to when you have the flu.
5:21 pm
>> the seventh confirm case in the united states but but it's in california. david: seven compared to the thousands in china. it does seem like it is being contained. >> i will give it like a week or two more to make that statement. so far, all of those seven cases can be tracked back to the same place. the one person who had no connection, that is very difficult situation. many people with the flu in from china, they came in contact with chinese, wuhan place. maybe a few more weeks, then we can see. david: sorry, the panelist and have a chance to ask questions. do you trust the data coming out
5:22 pm
of china. >> is i do. this avenue because it's very open. we've been getting access to the data. i get for me seniors, it's good. david: we are just days from super bowl 54. the record number of americans who are getting ready to put in the bedspread why the president is raising the bar for those veterans. joe is here to explain why he's a part of these vetting procedures. that is next.
5:24 pm

powered by our gig-speed network. because beyond technology... there is human ingenuity. every day, comcast business is helping businesses go beyond the expected. to do the extraordinary. take your business beyond. it's our most dangerous addiction. and to get the whole world clean? that takes a lot more than an alternative. so we took our worst vice, and turned it into the dna for a better system. materials made from recycled plastic woven and molded into all the things we consume. we created bionic and put the word out with godaddy. what will you change? make the world you want. david: you may have heard super bowl 54
5:26 pm
is taking place in coming up. a record 26 million americans are expected to bet at least $6.8 billion, and many of the spent would even be in the final score. there will be something called prompt vets, it is based on the proposition of something happening around the game but not directly affecting the game news outcome. within 2020 election justin months away, there are at least six prompt vets that involve president trump. joe great to see you. what are some of the prop bets involving trump. >> will president trump predicted winter before kickoff. he's going to make anybody coming gotta go with the chiefs, is it a state at this point missouri. or san francisco, the home of nancy pelosi who just impeach him. i think that would be a far cry. i don't think he will make any
5:27 pm
prediction at all. something that yes, you get some the one which is a hundred dollars. that's a back. endo, gifted at $1400. i don't think he will commit to winter. in front of 79 million twitter followers. >> welcome to the show. glad you are here. >> you probably agree, this is probably the biggest day. sit surpasses july 4th. i don't know if it surpasses christmas yet, but it is right up there. here's the question, someone may have proposed it in the wall street journal today. why the game is not on saturday, it still, at 630. i can save and watch it at least the first half of it. has there ever been any thought of having this on saturday. so everybody can sleep in on sunday. >> never ever ever ever because from a media perspective, the loudest greatest day of the week, is always saturday.
5:28 pm
friday being a close second. that's amazing. because i watched limbo. growing up. so would be nice to sleep in. i think the president should declare the monday after super bowl, to declare the holiday. that would be the best friend. >> it would be a terrible decision to make the super bowl on saturday. you have to watch in on sunday. you can't wait to get back into the office and brag it to everyone. >> give your predictions actually came out. a lot of people want to hide under the covers. >> the only thing that i would do in terms of office pools, the thing is, i would rather not picketing. it all depends on which box i get in terms of winning the first quarter or half are in of the game. what do you think or how fast, or how high do you think the wages will go in terms of people
5:29 pm
actually taking prop bets in this game. >> in new jersey where i am, you could go run an app from your living room or from anywhere as long as your locators on princes you can put anything joe promote gambling but if you were to do it, do this bet because it makes total sense, that national anthem, says over two minutes three seconds, hundred $795 to 100. they don't think the anything or is going to go long in the national anthem and try to gobble up that for as long as possible to show off their pipes. this thing won't go away over two minutes and 30 seconds. >> we want to switch gears. david: the mainstream media has found another so-called bombshell from
5:30 pm
the holden book, thanks to the new york times which they claim is more evidence for him to testify as a witness. my question to you, are they just using these inflated bombshells, one after another to push their agenda on impeachment. >> i before -year-old, and read a story to him every night before he goes to bed. and when we tackle recently, was the boy who cried wolf. and that really fits here doesn't it. is the media who cries wolf. bombshell after bombshell, not with just impeachment. go all the way back three years ago all the way through the brush and investigation and every bombshell that was around that. absolutely said that the president was guilty. in this one was going to take it down. the america sees it as the media has cried wolf. in 19 out. we say bombshell a times a day, it tends to lose its impact. david:
5:31 pm
5:35 pm
final hours of the trump impeachment trial. senator lamar alexander announced calling witnesses to the trial, his upset opposition to it. and just by the way this could end it tonight printed. >> there's a chance chance it could in tonight. or after midnight tonight. there's a slim chance of that. we may find out the next few minutes that senator mitch mcconnell, it was a negotiation going on. when they're trying to figure out how to go forward. during the debate shortly. anytime no. in the will pick up a vote in with the witnesses and documents should be added in this trial. maybe in the next hour. the majority leader mitch mcconnell will like that out exactly what he is doing now as they are talking on the floor. we had to find out what is going on. it's been a heated afternoon here at the senate. democrats think they needed to
5:36 pm
uncover more evidence. more documents and witnesses going forward. at the end of the day it comes down to votes and if republicans, and they are saying basically it is up to the house to investigate. in recent an investigation to the senate. now senator caskey who is the deciding vote whether the witnesses go forward or not, say they articles were crushed and flawed adding that i carefully consider the need for additional witnesses and documents. but ultimately decided that i will vote against considering motions to spinning. and senator chuck schumer said the city becomes an accomplished without more. >> is if my republican colleagues refused to even consider witnesses and documents in this trial, this country is headed towards the greatest cover of since watergate. and what is happening now on the
5:37 pm
senate floor that motion to subpoena witnesses. that is what they're talking about, that motion is coming up now. that vote could be going forward. and you soon will call joni ernst from iowa said she could see it wrapped up by saturday morning and today she believes that impeachment proceedings to be wrapped up again saturday morning she wants to be back in iowa for the caucuses. the city democrats could throw a help mary. and at that motion after motion and, we will have to see what happens here printed. david: breaking news from a producer? we are learning right now the senator republican leader mcconnell says he will vote whether to call witnesses in the impeachment trial. so we will keep you informed on that. that could happen any moment now. my question gary, will democrats be better off just ending this thing. it seems the more it drags on, the worse it is for them.
5:38 pm
>> absolutely. but from eight different perspective i think the answer is well, we know how this will end. one way or another, with witnesses or not, it's going to be acquitted. the numbers just aren't there for the democrats printed what do i think the one ended early. i would be interested in adam news opinion, follow me on this. but i think that democrats go to the well again. they have been trying to get trump out of the office, any way shape or are system ever 21st. then day after he was elected. i would not be surprised if we saw another impeachment down the road for some other charge. it's just not going to end until he is out of office. it could be six years from now printed. david: adam, i know you want to respond. our export reporter in the beltway says that the current vote on calling witnesses is expected to fail.
5:39 pm
if it fails, within the votes, no witnesses and essentially the end of the trial printed. >> you are asking a political question. would democrats being better off just cutting it off and moving on. it was politically a questionable move the whole time. they knew this probably would not be good politically. they knew they would lose. so i think they had two motivations. one to try to change the public news mind about these chargers that they brought against the president. it's a very political process and the second motivation was to embarrass president trump. sir in for a dime or a dollar. this continuing to try to do those two things until you're done. it. david: i just one put up a pole and we can print a new poll showing that americans feel really good about quality of life. whether it is the economy, humor quality-of-life, 84 percent say they are satisfied. 68 percent stated the u.s.
5:40 pm
economy, military strength, 81 percent satisfaction. our voters going to focus on these issues. there quality-of-life issues rather than this continuing debate about who said what to whom. >> i absolutely think they are. they also look at their four o one kays in the stock market two. when a big selloff today but is based on the coronavirus. nobody can control that. it has nothing to do with the president. everybody felt like the economy and stock market were doing well before the coronavirus. david: once again, they are voting on the witnesses. this may be a but of course you know how this may drag on. we will keep you updated. we are less than 20 minutes away from the uk's official exit from the european units. it's been taking years for this to happen. what does this mean for a future trade deal with the u.s. in the uk and europe. we will break it all down coming
5:44 pm
david: the senate has blocked any witnesses more documents than it already has. if that is so, then the major stumbling walk tuning this thing is gone. there may be procedural issues to make the impeachment trial turnout for another couple of days but the real impediment to closing down this trial, could be over the next boat we should hear about may be on whether to acquit the president. we will keep you updated on this and in the meantime, there is this. >> the star-spangled manner, we don't want them. we don't mother president, we don't want there army. in six hours time, are going to be free of it. this is the greatest day in modern british history. david: was a very animated nigel prayed
5:45 pm
his own money earlier today. as we are less than 20 minutes now, away from britain's official departure from the european union. with two trade deals under his belt, president trump is now saying that europe is his next target. watch printed. >> probably the biggest reason that iran was the unfair trade that i have seen. china, mexico, canada, japan, south korea, we made all of these deals. this next. >> and i wanted to finish china before we started on your. >> cedric and with him at a six-year low, it's really struggling. president trump not-so-subtle threats of auto tariffs bring them to the bargaining table. >> i think it is. for sexually happen, took the breakup to happen. it makes them look bad in week. not to mention that president
5:46 pm
trump had alliances with them. and there is probably going to go pretty smoothly. didn't just wait to finish china he did wait to finish china but he also waited for this because strategically makes it much easier for him. >> i never thought i would see the day that i would actually given this opportunity to say happy independence day. it to great britain. i think this is an awesome opportunity as jackie pointed out. the negotiations, you and make sure you can exploit your adversary by the opponent. the weaknesses, make sure that you can actually do the best in your interest in for your stakeholders. but in the same time, reject win-win. but i think that we would actually have a president like president trump to take on the world with respect to free and fair trade. he's actually getting results. this is having me at a great time. looking at great britain and also at the e.u., looking at what we had to sell in america.
5:47 pm
i wouldn't be surprised if it was a manufacturing numbers give back to it president trump predicted. in the city great time we can actually have an opportunity to drop the unemployment rate even lower. >> i hate to say this. but your friend it nigel your friend nigel might not want to compete with the greatest day in modern british history. and present trump might remember any hasn't finish china as he just at the moment ago printed it was a phase i deal. he did relatively little compared to what needs to be accomplished. we do wonder how he will like to percent growth which we have complained about in obama care. david: the point is that he has use this so effectively in these tariffs, use it against usmc it and use it in order to get immigration reform which is paid
5:48 pm
up. i'm afraid trade. i'm not crazy about paris but in his case, it seems to be working. particularly when the europeans are so vulnerable others. >> unite or maybe an agreement and maybe also disagreement. i don't like the tariffs at all. i don't think they have worked. studies have already shown that you have really hurt our economy by having them. i don't think there is anything such as a bad trade deal entry by definition once so i guess one thing and once i get the other so this whole emphasis on trade fairness i was thought. david: we have two new trade agreements. when with canada and mexico and was china. we have to move on. sorry gang we have to move on to more breaking news. millennials getting a bad rap when it comes to money. but new data showing that they are saving and boosting the economy. surprise surprise.
5:52 pm
>> so the rejection of, women now hope the number 51 to 49. that was senator romney and collins. those were the ones who went against the majority. fifty-one - 49. will it turns out the millennials are more responsib responsible, then some of their warring parents are. bank of america and it shows the ages 24 to 41 has nearly a hundred thousand in savings. up from 16 percent from 2018. shows young people are hoping to boost u.s. homeownership with a
5:53 pm
six-year high. so what does this say about our economic future. >> the millennials over the last several years, actually money in it. you have to be in it to win it. they want more control there are a lot of anecdotes. people ask me all the time. where show i'd be investing my money. they're going beyond cash savings. they will make sure they get a higher return than regular savings. >> this is really true and young people are saving. as the irony that if i hear. these are the young people resign, they want their student loans that forgiven and the one about for warren bernie sanders. they have to figure that out printed. >> they also aren't that young anymore. this is the youngest area. business people, we should be figuring out what to tell them. >> good question.
5:54 pm
>> at the housing market is a domino's, people my age need or want to downsize. you can't do that much to sell her house. it has to be people wanting to buy your house. and people follow them wanting to buy a little bit bigger house. so if the millennials start to push over that first domino, it benefits them for increasing hopefully real estate prices. evidence people like david and i, near the other and trying to downsize. it is good for everyone. david: the way, we have millennial kids. can't call them kids anymore. and they are very responsible. my kids are responsible. and yours are as well. you will definitely be double dipping on a whopping multi- layer bean dip. just-in-time pre- super bowl game festivities. wait until we tell you how much this thing ways. you won't believe it. and predictions, from our panel next printed.
5:58 pm
david: super bowl 54, on sunday. what snacks will you be munching. bush's means is out with a new record-breaking seven layer bean date weighs more than a thousand pounds. first of all, but here, will you be serving anything close to this seven layer dip. what are your predictions printed. >> revenue 68 layer dip. [laughter]. 49ers, is why real quick. the team with the top offense, is actually not in the super bowl. the tiptop defense is. >> a score for a squadron. >> twenty-one - 13. >> and then printed. >> i will be serving anything. i will be somebody's guess this year. i will go to kids' city. i think her my fiancé said that he think they will win.
