even started included a picture of air force one taking off behind the international speedway. problem was that was a picture of president george w. bush's race to the in 2004. parscale deleted tweet. heavy rain forced drivers off the track track on sunday. but they got back on the track two hours ago. liz: thank you. michael bloomberg is skipping nevada and south carolina ballots. bloomberg and trump campaigns, shrugged it out over new sound of michael bloomberg in 2016 belittling, putting down the nation's farmers. this after the damaging audio from 2015 of michael bloomberg boasting about new york city's stop-and-frisk. let's bring in fox news political analyst gianno caldwell. thanks for coming in. >> thanks for having me as always. liz: get your take what michael bloomberg said about farmers.

by the way michael bloomberg has never farmed. >> i can teach anybody, even people in this room, no offense intended to be a farmer. it is a process. you dig a hole. put seed in. put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn. now comes the information economy and the information economy is fundamentally different because it's built around replacing people with technology. you have to have a different skillset. you have to have a lot more gray matter. liz: so he is saying, his campaign, he didn't mean to insult farmers. he was talking about thousands of years of processes. you're reaction to all of that? >> there was an additional quote which he said that in order to be a farmer you don't really need to knowing anything. i think it is despicable that you have a man running for president who comes off as a complete total elitist. this net to be mistaken with all of the democrats because democrats do speak this way generally, especially when it comes to people who are in the fly-over states. if you're not an elite in l.a.

or billionaire in new york seemingly there is not a lot of respect within the democratic party. it is continuum what we've seen with other candidates throughout the election cycle. liz: if it was that easy everyone would be farming. >> right. that is what he said. liz: farmers have to be scientists engineers, plumbers, veterinarians, they need a lot of skillsets. the bloomberg campaign is blaming the trump campaign for circulating the video. the trump campaign says, that is not true. this is about though the content of what bloomberg is saying, right? >> i think it is always going to be about that and let's keep in mind, this is an election and if michael bloomberg he will get in and buy everything up then he is sadly mistaken. he is battling against a guy named donald trump who has policies answers and solutions that have been implemented into law which are making the lives of americans of all colors and stripes and economic backgrounds better. so when considering that versus a guy who is clearly a very wealthyfy, who said he will

spend a billion dollars of his own money, whether he wins or not, this is now the race. this is where we are. you better get used to it. liz: this past weekend "the washington post" reprint ad gag birthday gift. it was a joke gift. dates from 1990. called the wit and wisdom of michael bloomberg. abc had the story last year. it was published by a company that bloomberg, former marketing chief of his company 30 years ago. look at these quotes. it claims they are all actual quotes, joke quotes said by bloomberg. some of them were too outrageous to show. ones that we're seeing on the screen, if women wanted to be appreciated for their brains they'd go to library instead of bloomingdale's, on and on. "washington post" says bloomberg business has been hit by lawsuits of toxic culture not good for women. vulgar and misogynistic comments bloomberg sposhes person said what he said was disrespectful

and wrong but he promoted himself with strong capable women. your reaction? >> democrats will have a hard time. the more we see what happens in the polls with michael bloomberg, seems as though he is actually putting damage, he is actually creating damage for joe biden who was supposed to be their nominee who is supposed to be a guy more ready for office. considering the fact that we've seen the tweets. we've seen the quotes i should say, and the lawsuits, this is going to be a very big problem for democrats. charles lowe put out a piece in "the new york times" today saying that it is going to be awfully difficult for democrats who claim that president trump is all these things and who racist and misogynistic and all these other comments for them to be saying oh, this will be bite that will be better who actually has quotes saying if women want to be taken seriously they shouldn't be going to bloomingdale's. not only that, listen how harshly he speaks about african-americans. that is voting bloc you need in

any democratic primary. since 1984 african-americans have been responsible for putting a democratic candidate as the nominee. they did wit jesse jackson. they did it with bill clinton. they did it with barack obama. with this being the case you're offending a whole lot of people. not only that you are offending people you need in the general election like our farmers. liz: to your point, "bloomberg news" is not allowed to report on the bloomberg campaign as well as other campaigns. "washington post" reporting that women who work for bloomberg's businesses had to zion non-disclosure agreements. his actions in the private sector can't be held up to scrutiny. senator warren, this is a way for people to hide bad things they have done. it goes on to this. kellyanne conway telling fox news yesterday that bloomberg's past comments and lawsuits seem worse than the statements of the president, rather than donald trump made himself on for example, the "access hollywood" tape. reaction to what other democrats and media analysts are saying about this.

roll tape. >> i think he is going to have to answer for that and speak to it. >> there ought to be some effort on his past, on his part, rather, to say and therefore i want to try and repair the damages done by this. >> as for what michael bloomberg did, i, stop-and-frisk, that is unconstitutional. where is he? he just keeps running a bunch of ads. >> it can't be dismissed with the smugness of someone who has 50, to 60, to $70 billion in his chest. liz: gianno, we have stories surfacing from 2012 from "the new york times" for example, quoting bloomberg being negative about president obama. saying he is a divisive populist. his first term was a disappointment. your reaction. >> i would actually agree with that statement, i can't argue that about president president obama. this will be bloomberg's biggest issue, like hillary clinton's was in 2016 that is authenticity. you have a guy who actually believes the stuff he is saying.

he believed in stop-and-frisk. up until a few month ago he apologized because he knew he needed the black vote. bernie sanders and president trump, these are very authentic guys. you may not like what either one has to say but they don't run back from it. they don't apologize for it. they say what they believe. that will be an issue for bloomberg. he is looking to let money do the talking when he should be able to connect with voters and build that way he is not really doing that. he is allowing his money to speak for him. liz: to your point, "new york post" called bloomberg's stop-and-frisk issue a big problem, for example, we reported this too, bloomberg said 95% of murders, murderers fit one modus operandi. one mo. take a description of xerox pass it out to all the cops. mail minority, age 16 to 25. it is not mo to be a mine another. >> right. liz: 2016 claim that get guns out of hands to throw kids up against the wall.

is that a insult to new york city police officers? they strive to get as much detail about suspects. not just frisking. we understand this is a constitutional issue that the courts struck this down. even after the courts struck it down. bloomberg didn't apologize up until last year, the year prior. go ahead. >> you know one other thing that you didn't mention in the quote. he said over 90% of those individuals, minorities are the ones that commit the crimes, murders et cetera, which is factually incorrect. so considering the fact this is his world view he believes that minorities are the biggest problem that he sees in terms of those who are the criminals, why are you looking to get these folks support to vote? what makes you think you will be the one providing policies that make the lives of all better, especially considering the fact that democrats more often than not, take african-americans for granted which is the title of my new book. liz: important point. >> considering that, you should be the one saying hey, this is the policy, this is how to make your life better and he hasn't done that.

longest war lasting 1years. we'll talk about it with my next guest. retired four-star general, general jack keane. great to see you, general. >> good to see you, liz. liz: you testified before senate armed services on afghanistan. can you tell us about that? >> they suddenly wanted to discuss the strategy in afghanistan and unfolding of potential peace deal that's taken place. and what we have in front of us is an agreement between the united states and the taliban to conduct a reduction in violence that would likely last seven or so days. that is really kind of a, the way i describe it, liz, is a test of good intentions. that if that reduction in violence succeeds, and it should, we're in the winter seasons just naturally a reduction in violence during the winter in, with all the snow that they have, and secondly, if

that succeeds, then there will be another agreement that the united states and the taliban will agree to this. one, negotiations to take place with the afghan government and other members of civil society and the taliban. that is a good deal and a big thing. two, the united states would begin a reduction in force to something around600. i don't know if they mention the number or not but it is commonly known that is the objective that would last over a period of months or maybe a year. the taliban would summarily reject the al qaeda but that's a wink and a nod there. there is humiliation involved, liz, we know they're brothers. i'm confident they told their brothers they are still linked with them. there is some discussion that there would be a prisoner exchange of 5000 taliban at the beginning of negotiations, which i would find is astounding. that should only be done if there is a peace settlement, the war is over, then let's exchange

prisoners which normally happens with conflict termination. so those are some of the major ingredients. they are supposed to negotiate a bonafide cease-fire by would be very challenging. this is the beginning of a very long process, liz. there is a lot of challenges here. liz: yeah. >> achieving peace will be very difficult and number one reason is why? because the taliban will say anything and do anything to get the united states out of afghanistan so they can topple the government. that's still what their major objective is. liz: that is an important point. i want to switch gears to ireland. russia reportedly sent intelligence agents to ireland to map out fiber-optic cables in the ocean floor. they connect great britain and america. the fears they could be cut. a lot of financial transactions, communications over the cable lines. your reaction to that? >> the russians have significant

capability to do this without any announcement or disclosure being done, liz. i think they do it on a regular basis to be frank about it. they pull up their submarines to any cable around the world and check the cable or bite into it if they want to. this is something that has been known as tradecraft between the soviet union and the night for many years now. so i, i take seriously that the russians spy on us and do everything they can to undermined our democracy and undermined european election secrets this is part of the pattern. that is what it is. liz: next case, china, america, urging europe to join forces against china. secretary esper, in munich saying that is china meddling in european politics is tantamount to assault on so sovereignty. esper says china is the number

one threat to global freedom and independence. here is the issue with the coronavirus. we have update on the disturbing death toll reaching 1900 in china. more than 73,000 worldwide infected. apple now warning its forecast for revenues will get hit. wall street warning of a potential micro recession that could hurt the trump re-election effort. the president can't risk recession because incumbents tend to get reelected when the economy is growing. we know the economy overall is growing 2.3%. this has to be a situation trump administration is watching because it is seeing an issue with countries around the world. go ahead, general. >> i will to the get involved in the politics of it but clearly the coronavirus will have implications on the chinese economy and any serious contraction there would obviously affect the global economy. you discussed things like this every single day, liz. that certainly could impact the

♪. liz: okay the democrats with the money and manpower now deploying it all in a hope stretch blitz. the next two saturdays are the nevada caucuses and south carolina primary. in less than a month, super tuesday, that is march 3rd. after that 11 states, florida, ohio, michigan, illinois are on the board. by st. patrick's day, march 17th, more than 60% of the delegates will be awarded. who will be the front-runner? welcome rnc national spokesperson liz harrington. liz, who is the front-runner right now? >> looks like bernie sanders, the self-avowed socialist who honeymooned in the soviet union and wants to take over the entire health care industry and the energy sector.

unfortunately for the democrats that is where their energy is. going into nevada he has the front-runner status but what also too be lock looking out for in nevada is can democrats count up the votes? we're already seeing a lot of officials in their party sounding alarm bells. they don't have the technology. they don't have any really structure in place or training to add up simple votes which is giving the american people a very good preview just how terrible it would be if they took over the entire health care industry. liz: nevada has early voting. we'll see issues pop up pretty soon. here is the other thing, nevada and south carolina are about who can win the swing voter. we're talking about minority voters. we know the nevada caucus coming saturday. they have a growing population of latinos, asian-americans, and in south carolina up to 2/3 of the voters could be african-american. your take on the labor culinary

union not endorsing anybody as biden and sanders are going at it after the sanders campaign attacking the union not supporting bernie's single-payer. when you heard of the fight, what do you think? >> kind of emblematic what is going on with their party. democrats are in disarray. there is a lot of infighting because they don't have a strong standard-bearer. they don't have a strong front-runner that can take on president trump in november because if you look at all of the these issues, who has been a better champion for the american worker than president trump? look at this economy. look at wages rising for the bottom income earners, the most, more than six times the rate as the top 1%. these are big, important changes that are happening and that's why democrats are in such disarray because they know none of these candidates can take on president trump or the amazing record of accomplishment in three short years. liz: the fundamental problem we keep hearing from analysts,

democrats have a big gap between enthusiasm and electability. we hear it from analysts on fox news, msnbc, cnn and elsewhere. it is democrat congressman and majority whip james clyburn. he says he is unsure about the 2020 democrat candidates. listen to this. >> do you really think that democrats can beat him. >> oh, yeah. we can. will we? i'm not sure. liz: your reaction? >> they're all very nervous because they know they don't have a good candidate that can take on president trump. i actually questioned this idea of electability. joe biden the guy who has been running for 33 years has never come in first place in a primary or caucus. he just finished fifth in new hampshire. bernie sanders, what has he ever -- only been elected to the senate in a very blue state. where is this idea of all these people, of course, mayor pete elected in a small town. he has never been elected to anything else either.

liz: what about bloomberg? >> bloomberg he bought himself a third term in new york city, right? this is a guy who is trying to buy elections. if you look what just happened in virginia with the assault weapons ban going down when democrats controlled that state legislature, that was all bloomberg's money behind gun control. money doesn't get you everywhere in politics. you actually need thinking, analytical things, like what he was saying about the farmers in iowa, that is what they need? guess what, the candidate says maybe hillary clinton will be his running mate, not a whole lot of analyzing going on there. liz: your take on the bloomberg campaign accusing the trump campaign of leaking audios and videos of negative things that bloomberg has said. 2012 "new york times" story resurfacing as bloomberg going negative on president barack obama. bloomberg showcases obama in a new ad campaign. are you guys behind all of these leaks? >> no. if you look what is happening, this guy has been trying to buy

for wild sentencing. i've been in many trial cases with a straight face asking for 22 years, your honor. the judge imposes a five-year sentence. this is heading over ski tips. the other dark secret, very often government comes in for high sentence that helps the defendant. that doesn't help the narrative here match politically. politics and criminal law do not mix. i said that a million times. to the core matter, the president should not have been tweeting about an ongoing criminal case. i said that and attorney general said that but you don't need hysterical overreaction again about how this undermines the very fabric of the universe because, by the way, you're getting into a little bit of a boy who cried wolf syndrome here. mueller, russia, kavanaugh, ukraine, and now you're crying wolf again and you expect somebody to come running when there is no wolf? again politically, outside the legal area, i don't think this really helps them much.

they're just hysterically overreacting. liz: we know the justice department has career individuals. 10 and tens of thousands of people who work there. >> sure. liz: a lot of democrat holdovers. are prosecutors infallible? >> no, not at all. look, again legally, nobody wants to hear this again, because it sounds politically, the attorney general can tell a line prosecutor to adjust the recommendation and again, little broken record point, the difference between saying, your honor, follow advisory sentencing guidelines. they're only advisory. the sentencing is strictly up to the judge versus we take no position, that is not monumental. by the way another little point that is so interesting. in their subsequent filing they said we'll leave it to the court, we take no position but prison is warranted. nobody stressed that, did they? doj said prison is warranted. liz: interesting. here is the other thing. stone, individuals keep telling us, we heard it too, he is accused a lot of, william

mcgurn said, hijinks in the republican party. convicted of lying to congress, witness tampering, obstructing the house investigation. are the democrats worried about the durham probe, the criminal probe of the fbi fisa abuses? is william barr protecting that? >> a lot of people are saying, and you're so right, if you start handicapping this politically, not only are they worried about bill bar, john durham the combination but really a counteroffensive to throw mud in their faces to back them off. it is interesting. liz: forgive me. >> please. liz: we have house and senate democrats nancy pelosi saying we should probe now william barr and impeach him? >> that is exactly right. everything -- liz: are they worried about the durham probe? >> they are worried about the durham probe. they're setting up a really sophisticated gambit, if we keep throwing mud in barr's face, if he does something against our beloved clapper, comey, et cetera, then we'll have the immediate argument, only reason he did that because what we did to him. it is a little chess game, liz.

assaulting it. half the union membership are hispanic women. bring in the heritage foundation, kelsey bolar. this is big voter turnout machine. your reaction to the story? >> this is typical politics. what it is is a debate over health care. joe biden going after bernie sanders "medicare for all" plan which the union has come out against. and i think it is important to understand. viewers need to understand we know the cost of these plans is $32 million. what does that really mean? a heritage foundation analysis says it would mean 21% increase on the typical american household payroll taxes. so that is on top of what americans are already paying. liz: yeah. >> we have to ask, is that, is that what americans really want? this union now in nevada is rightly so standing up for their benefits that they have spent a lot of time fighting for. liz: to your point early returns show sanders did not bring out
