left indoctrination of america's children. >> we want our sons and daughters to know that they are the citizens of the most exceptional nation in the history of the world. the left wing cultural revolution is designed to overthrow the american revolution. as many of you testified today, the left-wing rioting and mayhem are the direct result of decades of left-wing indoctrination in our schools. it's gone on far too long. our children are instructed for propaganda tracks like those of howard zinn that try to make students ashamed of their own history. the left has warped, distorted and defiled the american story with deceptions, falsehoods and lies. teaching this horrible doctrine to our children is a form of

child abuse in the truest sense of those words. lou: president trump also slammed "the new york times"' 1619 project which is a platform that some schools, believe it or not, have adopted in their curricula. it is a false rewrite of history. it seeks to redefine the united states, describing this country founded on oppression rather than on freedom and liberty. president trump saws those kinds -- says those kinds of toxic, false teachings are similar to the very propaganda put out by this nation's enemies. >> this project rewrites american history to teach our children that we were founded on the principle of oppression, not freedom. nothing could be further from the truth. america's founding set in motion

the unstoppable chain of events that abolished slavery, secured civil rights, defeated communism and fascism and built the most fair, equal and prosperous nation in human history. the narratives about america being pushed by the far left and being chanted in the streets bear a strike thing resemblance to the anti-american propaganda of our adversaries, because both groups want to see america weakened, derided and totally diminished. lou: at the end of his speech, president trump signed that executive order. that order creates a new commission. this commission is called the 1776 commission, and it will promote the, the president says,

patriot you can education in american schools, colleges and universities. president trump also announced he will place the statue of delaware founding father caesar rodney in his proposed garden of american heroes. rodney cast what was the deciding vote for the american independence declaration. his statue in wilmington, delaware, ordered removed and taken down by radical dem politicians in june. president trump also blasted the left for its refusal to condemn or to take action against the violent anarchy carried out by marxist groups including black lives matter and antifa. on capitol hill today, fbi director christopher wray made a number of incredible remarks. wray warned congress of the radical violence of antifa, but then went on and seemed to be trying to separate himself from both reality and president

trump. wray said, incorrectly, that antifa is not an organization, but an ideology. >> we look at antifa as more of aned ideology or a movement than an organization. to be clear, we do have quite a number of properly predicated domestic terrorism investigations into violent anarchist extremists. any number of whom self-identify with the antifa movement. and that's parking lot of this broader group of domestic violence extremists that i'm talking about, but it's just one part of it. we also have the racially-motivated, the militia types and others. lou: extraordinary. wray also made an outrageous claim that white supremacists make up what he called the largest share of racially-motivated terrorists in the united states.

wray then was forced to admit to lawmakers that he didn't have any numbers whatsoever to back up that seemingly implausible claim. attorney general william barred today slammed the permanent bureaucracy in the department of justice for their never ending political attacks. here's what he had to say. >> rather than root out true crimes while leaving ethically dubious conduct to the voters, our prosecutors have all too often uncerted themselves into the political -- inserted themselves into the political process based on the glimpsiest legal -- glimpsiest legal theories, prosecutors bringing ill-conceived charges against prominent political figures or launching debilitating investigations that thrust the department of justice into the middle of the political process.

lou: and now it is time for the attorney general's actions to match his comments and, one hopes, to purge his department of the corrupt attorneys who have been using politics as a basis for their every action, not just prosecution. for the first time, the justice department has admitted the corrupt origins of obamagate. director of national intelligence john ratcliffe last week released documents of a fisa court opinion to the justice department. in that opinion the court wrote this, quote: the government acknowledges that there were material omissions, and the court has found violations of the government's duty of candor in all four applications. in previous filings the justice department had admitted only there were errors in two of those fisa applications. up next, china joe biden doesn't seem to cower about the

lou: wreak breaking news now, the hoe freedom caucus is calling on house minority leader kevin mccarthy to back their effort to oust nancy pelosi as house speaker. they're trying to do so through a motion to vacate the chair. mccarthy, however, does not support their efforts. he believes it is best to win back the majority in november's election. well, americans who have been affected by the violent

riots in democrat-run cities were polled and overwhelmingly approve of how president trump is responding to this civil unrest and outright violence in democrat-run cities across the country. a new rasmussen survey finds 76% of americans who have had violent protests in their communities say those riots will affect their vote, and 63% of those voters strongly approve of the job president trump is doing. the damage from the riots, the looting, the vandalism will be the most expensive in history. the insurance information institute reports the cost of those riots and looting to be between $1-2 billion in just the two weeks after george floyd's death. china joe biden seems destined to make the same mistakes the rah radical --

radical dems made back in 2016. they're ignoring important battleground states, belief i it or not. democrats in michigan are concerned about the lack of a biden ground game, and rightly so, it turns out. "time" magazine asked campaign staffers and other biden officials how many people they have on the ground in michigan. one of them replied saying, quote: what do you mean by "on the ground"? joining us now, republican national committee chair ronna mcdaniel. ronna, great to have you with us. are you stunned to learn -- or maybe you already knew -- that the biden campaign doesn't have a ground operation in michigan of all places? >> not only do they not have a ground operation in michigan, a key battleground state, they don't have one anywhere. i mean, hillary clinton made the strategic mistake of never going

to wisconsin. joe biden's decision is to just stay in wilmington, delaware, and not go to any battleground states. he has no staff on the ground. i've talked to every party chair in the battleground states in the past week, they're seeing no presence for biden. and i'll tell you what, lou, the trump campaign is energized. we are knocking doors, a million a week. we have so much momentum on our side, and in michigan people know that president trump is about made in the usa, and joe biden is about a made in china, and that resonates in a state like mine, in wu and ohio. and that's -- in wisconsin and ohio. and that's why we're going to win those states again. lou: it's just almost unimaginable that any presidential campaign might have a weak ground game, might have a thin ground operation but none at all? does that speak to just sheer incompetence or extraordinary confidence in, in the outcome? >> yeah, i hear it all over that

they can't get biden, they're not knocking doors. that "time" article is really telling because it's democrats on the record saying where are you, joe biden? why aren't you in our state? why aren't you fighting for our vote? how are you going to fight for our voice in washington? president trump cares about the people of this country. he's out campaigning every day because he wants to be their voice in washington. he's been that for four years, and that's why he's on the campaign trail fighting for them, because that's what he's going to do when he's reelected in 2020. lou: how is it, how are you going to exploit the extraordinary contrasts between these two candidates; that is, president trump obviously a high-energy, high-performance individual with an incredible and historic record in his first term in office? there is no question of what he

has achieved. it's irrefutable, undeniable. and then you have joe biden, 50 years, no accomplishments and a week of just absolute disappointment and disaster throughout his political career. >> yeah. we're seeing it already. joe is not out on the campaign trail, he's not willing to fight for votes. he's very entitled. he feels like he's owed this after his 47 years of bureaucracy. he's not going out to the american people and making a case for himself, and the president and his kids are traveling the country. i was with ivanka yesterday, i know don jr.'s out, eric's out, we're going to be out talking to the people about president trump and his record, his better trade deals, lower taxes, lowering regulation. joe biden is i'm going to raise

taxes on 82% of american families. i'm going to get rid of energy independence, and you're going to pay more for gas and heating costs. he doesn't want to talk about the policies that would destroy american families and make every american pay more taxes and bankrupt this country. lou: we see the president, his poll numbers are rising. biden's are slipping. what was once considered a very big lead for biden now shows it to be a competitive race. the president closing in nearly every battleground state. and, if you would, just -- let's put up, if we can, please, video of the trump boat parades across the country over the past week. if we could see that. and joe biden being met by three

cars. it's just, it's unbelievable what we're looking at here for the three cars for biden and, i mean, thousands of boats across the country in parades. you know, it just doesn't make sense. there's no ground game, there's no energy. he's waving to an empty tarmac at an airfield the other day, biden. and president trump shows up, and there are thousands of people cheering him on. how could this in any way be reflected in these polls? something is very awe miss here. finish amiss here. your thoughts. >> well, you've seen a poll by the, that said that 65% of voters aren't sharing their polling information. i think that's very true. and i like to be on the ground. i was with the president last week, and i've been with him throughout the country in ohio and in wisconsin, and the energy i'm seeing is bigger than it was

in 2016. we have two million volunteers, lou, between the trump campaign and the rnc, two million volunteers knocking doors. the energy is so strong, and i don't think it's reflected in the polls. but the polls we are seeing are seeing the president getting closer and closer in every single state and taking a lead in most of these battleground states. internally, we see them doing much better than the public polls, and the energy on the ground shows that. it's really interesting when you get out there, you go how in the world can joe biden even be competitive with this type of energy for donald trump. lou: and he doesn't seem to be any less dazed or confused as the days close on november 3rd. ronna mcdaniel, always good to have you with us. thanks so much. and the "lou dobbs tonight" word of the day is sedition. that is a word attorney general bill barr has used.

3rd. but no, ballots now -- thanks to the supreme court of pennsylvania -- may come in three days late; that is, after the election. and as if this doesn't sound like it might invite massive voter fraud, the court will also allow ballots without postmarks to be counted! writing this, quote: ballots received within this period that lack a postmark or other proof of mailing or for which the postmark or other proof of mailing is ineligible will be presumed to have been mailed by election day unless a preponderance of the evidence demonstrates it was mailed after election day, end quote. i wonder why the president is warning the nation about voter fraud with mail-in voting? joining us tonight, tom fitton, the president of judicial watch. his new book is "a republic under assault: the left's

ongoing attack the on american freedom." it's available for preorder. we recommend it to you highly. tom, a state supreme court ruling that you can vote after election day. you don't have to prove anything. what's your reaction to the pennsylvania high court ruling? >> well, it's -- if you want to figure out how it is you game the system, read the supreme court decision that changes the rules to make it easier to fraudulently vote. you can vote -- look, it makes it easier to vote after you know what the results might be, after the deadlines and have your vote counted. and this is a, wouldn't be a problem if you didn't have this mail-in ballot scheme that had been set in place by the radical left over the last several months to blow up the elections. and now the states are ratifying it and helping it along. and the courts are helping it

along. this is -- the president has been almost a lone are voice highlight aring the dangers to -- highlighting the dangers to our election integrity as a result of these schemes, and he's being proven right day by day. certainly judicial watch has been calling, you know, we've been talking about this for months on this program -- lou: yeah, we've been talking about -- >> -- how this is helping them. lou: we've been talking about electoral integrity and its importance for years now. >> that's true. lou: this is a incomprehensible, though, development that with the democrats the left in this country, the radical dems pushing mail-in voting which is established and which judicial watch has helped demonstrate, it's fraudulent. and yet there is, i hear nothing from the republican part about further lawsuits or intervention. i don't hear anything from the justice department. is there just simply no basis for the justice department to

protect the integrity of our elections? how can that be? >> well, there are leftists that run the justice department civil rights division effectively, there are virtually no conservatives in that agency, and so they're never going to pursue and they don't plan to pursue litigation to stop states from mailing knowingly millions of ballots they know are dirty. in pennsylvania they have -- our litigation found that there was nearly 800,000 extra names on the rolls in pennsylvania alone. they haven't cleaned their lists appropriately. we alerted one county about it. they actually did something. they removed 69,000 names from the rolls immediately. i mean, that shows you the problem they have in pennsylvania, and doj's been awol on cleaning up the lists and confronting the states for trying to blow up the election system by mailing ballots to

lists they know are dirty. and now with we know that if you vote by mail, you face a sister-in-law risk of having your vote -- a substantial risk of having your vote thrown out. lou: can -- >> 50,000 names were -- [inaudible conversations] lou: is there any, is there any reason to expect that it's even possible that the supreme court could shut this down? because it is, without question, obvious construction of an architecture of fraud throughout all of the states in the union. it's obvious, it's urgent, it's a matter that requires remedy and no further speculation or discussion. it's a time for action. >> yeah, and it would have to happen in the next two weeks or so because the ballots are going to be mailed in california and other states, in the district of columbia as well, and, you know,

attorney general barr, he says all the right things, but there's been a lack of follow-up by the agency in terms of enforcing the rule of law certainly on election integrity. lou: well, as senator lindsey graham says, stay tuned. are you a little disappointed with the chair of the judiciary committee? >> well, he's only doing this because of our pressure. the american people want some justice here, and he's doing what he thinks he needs to do to get them something. it's certainly a vote of no confidence in the durham investigation. he wouldn't be even asking these people to testify if there was any significant chance they'd be prosecuted by durham. so comey looks like he's free and clear, if i'm interpreting the tea leaves. lou: as you usually are, that is correct in interpreting tea leaves. tom fitton, thanks so much, we appreciate it. up next, minneapolis lawmakers voted to disband their

look busier, and they twice used footage from a crowded italian hospital to paint a bleaker picture of what was happening in bleak times in new york city. members of the democrat-run minneapolis city council, you remember them, well, now they're complaining about crime spikes in their city. this is the very same city council, radical lefties all, who voted three months ago to dismantle their police department. and they cut a million dollars from their budget. three council members complained to the city's police chief tuesday, saying officers weren't doing anything to prevent robberies, end quote. are not enforcing crime, end quote. anded asked how they could get a spike in carjackings under control. the minneapolis police department has lost at least 65 officers since june.

they expect to lose another 35 by the end of the year. let's see, they defund the police, they insult the police, they will not support the police, and they're wondering why their crime is rising in minneapolis. amazing. joining us now is jim hanson, former u.s. army special forces, president of the security studies group, a national security and foreign policy think tank. his new book is "the myth of white fragility." jim, great to have you here. we recommend the book to our audience. we recommend it to you highly. jim, let's start with can you believe the city of minneapolis? i mean, they -- i guess you get the police department you deserve, if we might say that. what do you think? >> i think it's comical to watch them complain that now the crime has spiked. they were actually bragging for a little while that traffic stops were down and that people

were getting fewer tickets, and that was a sign that their, you know, race-based policing policies were working. what they didn't figure out was just because you stop arresting people doesn't mean they quit committing crimes, especially violent crimes. so when people get shot, just because there wasn't a cop there to investigate it doesn't mean the person didn't get shot. and it's kind of a rude awakening for them. and, unfortunately, they kneaded it. they needed it. lou: and we're watching this across the country. these democrat-run cities, they are flailing. they simply don't know how to run, apparently, anything. it is a strange, a strange phenomenon to witness all of the riots and the violence and the vandalism and the looting and or arson. and at the end of the day, we see from the insurance institute that the estimates are -- and this is just for part of that time following the rioting in

minneapolis -- somewhere between $1-2 billion of damage. and no one seems to understand they have a responsibility to stop this. and there have been almost 50 murders in that same period associated with that street violence. >> well, lou, normal americans can see what's going on, and they can see the damage, and they can watch the looting, and they can see businesses destroyed because they're the kind of people who run businesses. you know, democrat politicians live in a fantasy world where socialism works, you know, where criminals are just misunderstood, and we can all just get along. unfortunately, you have to actually govern in the real world, and reality's biting them pretty hard. and i think when the election rolls around, the american people are going to vote based on reality, not the fantasy dems want. lou: and with that, jim hanson, we say thank you, look forward to our next talk and hope for better times soon in this

country. thanks, jim hanson. turning now to breaking news, olivia troy, a former aide to vice president pence and a member of the white house coronavirus task forbes has joined -- task force, has joined the ranks of the biden supporters and anti-trumpers. troy claims president trump suggested the china virus was a good thing. our next guest dismisses those claims. he says troy was his direct report and never once addressed any concerns of this kind. joining us is lieutenant general keith kellogg, retired, special assistant to president trump and national security adviser to vice president mike pence. general, great to have you with us. this is, this is a remarkable thing to have happen. again, we're seeing what looks like a pattern amongst these small groups that are trying toage -- to agitate against the

president coming up with former officials, in this case troy. he worked for you. what's the deal? >> yeah, lou. first, lou, thanks for having me tonight, i really do appreciate it. i think what olivia's done is really quite egregious, and i've known olivia longer than just her working for me here in the white house. actually, we are, our association goes back to iraq almost 17 years ago when we worked together in the coalition provisional authority, so i've known her for a long time. and what she said, as i said, is egregious, because some of the things that she said about the president of the united states, it's just not true. i've been in the oval office, i've been in the situation room, and i've seen the president in action, and he's never talked down to the american people. he's always been very, very pro-american, for the people that are there. so i've never really, i'm really kind of disappointed when i hear these comments. he's always pushed really hard to get something done for the

american people. what i mean by that, i've heard him say inside the oval i just want them to get better. that's the reason he's pushing so hard on the vaccine, and those vaccines are in play right now. we should have, hopefully, three of them done by the end of october, november, and once those phase three trials are done, the results will go to a data modellization and simulation board that is run by the nih, it's a standard procedure. and once they check out the efficacy and the safety of those vaccines, then we go to the fda for an eua, and we'll start being able to administer the vaccines. what is not said about that is that the president drove this really hard with operation warp speed so that right now we are manufacturing at rusk. that means -- at risk. that means today we are manufacturing vaccines that we hope will work as we go there so they're immediately available when the data modelizatuon board says it's ready to go. he has driven that.

he's been very, very positive about it, very upbeat about it. this is the kind of leader that you want. you want somebody that has a very positive approach. you want this in the government, you want this in the military, you want it in the business world. you want somebody who drives the solutions and is positive about it. lou: yeah. yeah, and it's, it is, it's becoming something of a pattern with the left, and, if you will, the permanent bureaucracy. you talked about your long association with her. this is, this is sort of par for the course, it seems these days, those willing to sell out for, well, i guess i shouldn't be that harsh about it. departments, not supporting them, not backing them when they're out on the front lines putting their lives on the line every day. look at a -- at what just happened in compton, california, with the two officers who are who were shot at point-blank assassination attempts. i tell you this because i'm talking to law enforcement officials, i have some in my own family, people that just want to leave. they are frustrate9, they don't want to be there if they have no one to back them. they want to go home to their families at night. and so this is a a problem that we're going to have to deal with from now all the way through the election, and believe me, things are going to get far worse the closer we get, especially if democrats don't pull back and try to, and try to calm down the tensions in our urban cities. lou: yeah, they certainly show no signs of that. >> right. lou: s everything b, the tiktok deal, the president saying last
