"lou dobbs tonight" starts right now. have a good one. ♪ ♪ lou: good evening, everybody. president trump this hour on his way to minnesota. there he's set to cap off what has been an historic week filled with foreign policy victories, and president trump hasn't lost sight of presidential politics either. the president holding another rally, expected to be raucous as well, in front of thousands of his supporters. that event taking place at an airport tonight. now, if you're like me and you might be wondering where it is, it is, there's say, at a remote location some four hours' driving time north of

minneapolis, two hours east of grand forks, north dakota, and if you're so inclined to triangulate to the northernmost to, say, canada, it's about four and a half hours south of winnipeg. [laughter] minnesota is the 18th state the president has visited since just the first of august, and china joe biden? well, he's, well, he's, he's lagging a bit. there he is, about a 3 to 1 margin. biden has ventured out of his basement to minneapolis himself today. president trump's visit to minnesota comes as husband poll numbers -- his poll numbers are hitting a record high for the year. president trump's approval rating reaching 53%, 4 points higher, if you're wondering, than barack obama at the very same point in his presidential re-election campaign. if you're wondering about that as well being somewhat short of

president trump's approval rating, obama went on to win re-election. perhaps that's some sort of, well, indicatorrer. the president's stop today also coinciding with the start of early in-person, in-person voting in minnesota and three other states. now, look at all these people who are trying to avoid long lines. forming long lines -- [laughter] in those states so eager to beat the lines on election day. we'll see which are longer, these or those. they ran into them today, certainly. the radical dems are trying to pull, it seems, every trick and stunt they can to get china joe biden elected. particularly in the, well, the judiciary. a lot of strange judge, judges making strange decisions. a state judge in michigan today ruled the state must accept, are you ready for this?

postmarked ballots that arrive up to 14 days after of the november 3rd election. that means the judge has extended the election by two weeks. [laughter] that's the effect of his decision. the judge also opening the door for ballot harvesting that allows political operatives collect voters' ballots and then turn them in to polling stations after they make a few adjustments in the favor of their candidate. the judge ruling that voters can cast an absentee ballot and get help from anyone they want in returning those ballots to local clerks. now, isn't that nice of the judge? oh, you've got to admire minnesota. president trump in the white house today had this to say about the radical left's and the a rah radical dems' efforts to steal this election. >> we have a lot of very important decisions coming down on this, on this scam of

unsolicitedded ballots where they're sending out tens of millions of ballots to everybody, people that didn't expect them. so what's going to happen on november 3rd when somebody's leading and they say, well, we haven't counted the ballot otts, we have millions of ballots to count. it's a disaster. and you don't have to know a lot about elections, you don't have to know a lot about politics. this is going to be the scam of all time. lou: and president trump today slamming the door on two chinese companies accused of threatening u.s. national security. the president had warned china, the chinese today learned he meant business. the chinese-owned app wechat banned in this country beginning sunday. new downloads of the popular chinese video-sharing app tiktok also will be blocked on the same day. the commerce department has delayed a broader ban on tiktok until november 12th. president trump today saying the

takeover of tiktok's u.s. operations is nil in the works -- is still in the works. >> we have great companies the talking to us about it. you know about oracle, you know microsoft has been involved. let's see whether or not they're continuing to be involved. walmart is truly a great company. they are very much involved, they want to do something. so we have some great options, and maybe we can keep a lot of people happy but have the security that we need. we have to have the total security from china. no, we're not going to do anything to jeopardize security. lou: and some of his advisers -- we don't know precisely who -- brought him a deal where some of america's great companies would be minority shareholders in tiktok. this extraordinary decision reached by those advisers, that they would put the president in the position of accepting

minority ownership of a company he said would have to be sold and sold to a u.s. company, not a minority stock interest, for crying out loud. sometimes the white house is a peculiar place. it's a strange idea that an adviser to a president would purposefully try to dilute his orders and his responsibilities that he takes seriously for national security. and today's announcement is the latest action that the president has taken against the chinese. the president means business, and the commerce department now has, now has 318 chinese businesses, universities and individuals on the entities list. compare that to joe biden, china joe biden, who refuses to call the communist chinese an

opponent. listen to what he had to say last night during a cnn town hall. >> do you view china as an opponent? because the president says you've been too cozy with china. too accepting of them in the international community. >> i'm not the guy -- look, china, we now have a larger trade deficit with chai man than we've ever had -- >> do you view them as an opponent? >> i view china as a competitor, serious competitor. that's why i think we have to strengthen our relationships and our awe licenses in asia. alliances. lou: can you believe, i mean, that is pure balderdash and so resonates, doesn't it, to all of those folks in corporate america and on capitol hill and, yes, three presidents who got us into this mess with china. our first guest tonight has called china a malign actor, a threat to national security. our guest is congressman devin nuñes, ranking member of the

trump went in and he said, look, we're going to put tariffs on, we're going to try to make some deals, try to get along with them, but no more of china just ripping us off. and i think what's clear now after the wuhan virus, there is a clear decision for the people in the united states of america to make. you either want to go back to what we had before that delivered us a dangerous organization like china working with the world health organization that gave us this pandemic, totally lied, has covered it up, has never come out clean on it, we go back to what allowed that behavior to happen, or we know we stay with the president that we have today who has put tariffs on, and my guess if trump is reelected, he will put tariffs on. it's just terrible that the democrats keep making up excuses for china after they've been wrong for so many years. lou: they've been wrong for so many years, joe biden has been wrong for so many years on nearly every issue in foreign

policy. i can't think where he's been right, to be honest with you. this president, inversely, has been right on every major issue. it's interesting to me when we look at his conflicts with wall street, with corporate america, the federal reserve, bankers at large in this country, with china on the issue of balanced, reciprocal trade, whatever it may be this president has been right, and they have been wrong. and there isn't another president i've covered or watched in my lifetime who, who could even compare remotely to his average. >> yeah. i agree, lou. in fact, when trump was running, i thought, well, i've heard this before. every presidential candidate says he's going to get tough with china. but, my god, he did it. and let's not forget when trump was putting those tariffs on, they predicted there was going

to be disaster. you know, we talked about the foreign policy successes that this president has had over the last, not just the last, you know, several years, but especially the last week. if you watch the other networks, you don't even realize that it happened, because once again they're covering up for the administration who was saying crazy things like, oh, there'll never be a peace deal unless you get peace with the palestinians. well, that blew up in smoke. donald trump said you guys have had this wrong for decades. he goes to the middle east, and here we are three years later, we have a legitimate peace deal, and we're now going to have flights and trade betweens israel and two of their gulf partners. and my guess is, is that others are in line if trump gets reelected. you go back to biden and kerry and clinton, what are they going to do? they're going to do resets with russia, they're going to go back and cause problems with the palestinians, they're going to make deals with the killers in iran. i mean, that's who -- it's a really clear decision as long as the american people know what

the hell's going on. lou: well, and that is exactly one of the major problems. you've got propaganda operations run by at&t, comcast and disney, for crying out loud. you've got disney that owns abc news pushing nonsense through its news operations while filming "mulan" next to concentration camps, for crying out loud. they're aligned with the chinese more than they are with the trump administration and the u.s. national interests. what do we do about that? if we did not have president trump in the white house, we would be in major trouble. >> i don't think there's a better example of professional sports, especially the nba, which, you know, i have to say i'm a big fan. but ever since this radicalization with blm and all sports have become very, very political, but one thing is clear, they're all for justice

"politico" reporting wells fargo is pausing such donations. goldman sachs has agreed, apparently, to talk with the social justice activists. as the radical left seems determined to dismantle law enforcement, an overwhelming number of black and minority voters are deeply concerned that fewer police will be patrolling their communities and that crime will be rising. according to rasmussen polling, 84% of black americans, 70% of other minorities are worried about a shortage of police officers. compared to 66% of white americans. joining us tonight is bob woodson, a former civil rights activist. he headed the national urban league department of criminal justice. he's the founder of the woodson center which helps residents in low income neighborhoods. and, bob, thanks for being with us, and my apologies to you and

the audience because of the press of news wednesday, we couldn't get you on the air, and i deeply miss our conversations and thank you for being with us this evening. let's start with the corporations founding a marxist organization like black lives matter. straightforwardly, they are anti-family, they are anti-american. >> they really are. these corporations are just sowing oats. they need some starch in their shorts. they're just caving to the demands and really funding groups giving them the rope to hang them with. most black americans realize that black lives matter has migrated from pursuing so-called social justice, they've become violent vigilantes. they're sanctioning murder, looting in the name of social

justice, and it's gone beyond black and -- left versus white, i mean, left versus right, lou. it's really good versus evil. when two deputies in compton can be shot in their car and people across the street watching them cheer and then demonstrators showed up at the hospital blocking the path and saying that let the police die, this is a level of depravity that we have not seen before. and, but there's -- lou: and outright hate. >> [inaudible] say again? lou: yeah. it was, i said it was an act of such hate that i think everyone who watched that transpire just were absolutely revulsioned. it is repugnant -- revulsed.

this is good versus evil, you're exactly right. i want to ask you, how do you contend with wells fargo, bank of america, whichever the corporation or the bank, whatever it is, funding these social justice organizations but not funding organizations like yours, trying to help people who are poor, who need support and are trying to do it the american way, the right way, preserving our heritage, our values and talking about this is a nation of people with great commonality and shared values rather than division and one group trying to dispatch our history, our heritage and our, our common nation? >> lou, it's even worse than

funding these terrorist groups and these anarchists. they are the even making race race grievance intersectionality into contracts that they're signing with vendors. even law firms now in washington, d.c. have to -- they're demanding that their partners sign letters of agreement in support of black lives matter. requests for proposals have provisions that say unless you agree to take race grievance training, you cannot sign a contract. it's much more insidious than that. but what they should be doing, lou, is supporting groups, meeting with a group in southeast washington, one of the most violent neighborhoods called mom's safe haven. this is a group of 300 mothers who lost children to urban violence, and they want a voice, and these are the kind of groups should be funded.

they're taking 300 mothers away on a retreat to help them deal with their grievance. they are reuniting -- we're calling together moms from around the country. they asked thed woodson center to help give them a voice so they can say to the american public that black lives matter does not speak for them. in fact, one mother whose 8-year-old was shot and killed when she was complaining that black-on-black crime must be addressed, they called her an idiot and said you are deflecting attention away from the black lives matter message. after all, we are confronting police killings of blacks. and these mothers were outraged. and these are the kind of people that the woodson center's bringing together. these are the kind of groups that corporate america ought to be funding instead of groups that are getting funded to address the problems by ending whatever institutional racism.

center is not only that, but they are attacking the very core of principles and institutions that enabled black america to survive slavery and discrimination. the fact that they're now attacking the nuclear family as being euro-centric and racist, they are saying the christian faith that helped black americans through the worst of times, even during the depression and during periods of racism, that it is hostile, that the cross is a symbol of white supremacy. and so all of these are tackling the bourgeois values that are causing the decline in these communities, that's the real core of what they are doing. there is a moral meltdown in america that black lives matter is fostering, and that's why you're going to see millions of blacks push back. as i said before, i really think the sleeping giant in america to push back against this assault on our civic virtues is going to
