enthusiasm for his candidacy. at a campaign event in gettysburg today, only a few people bothered to show up. in fact, there were more trump supporters outside the event with pro-trump signs and flags than inside the event. it is clear that biden's handlers u the democrat -- the democrat establishment and wall street -- don't want the american people to see just how incapable their candidate is. the corporate left-wing national media are also plague their part if trying -- playing their part in trying to prop up the dems' candidate. biden took part in a town hall with comcast/nbc last night. among the participants who revealed their political positions, none of them were supporters of president trump. >> the next question comes from ingrid alexander who is undecided but leaning towardses

language when talking about the president of the united states. it's comments like those that president trump look to expose at next thursday's debate, an event that president trump today said he's looking forward to. president trump will also be raring to talk about new developments in the biden administration's attempts to take down -- [laughter] the obama/biden administration's attempts to take down his presidency. the director of intelligence, john ratcliffe, today released handwritten notes from former cia director john brennan. this is explosive. those notes were written after brennan briefed president obama about hillary clinton's plan to tie mr. trump to russia. ratcliffe also says brennan referred the matter to fired fbi

director james comey and former agent peter strzok for a potential investigation. the notes expose years of john brennan's lies. he called the trump-russia investigation well founded. he claimed the president's denial of russian collusion was hogwash. and even said there was extensive evidence of trump-russia collusion. all the while, it is now documented, brennan, obama, comey, strzok, obama, biden and others knew full well that the trump-russia narrative was a devious plot created and sponsored by none other than hillary clinton. we'll be talking to a man who knows about all things obamagate tonight. china virus stimulus package with the intractable and irresponsible house democrats until after the november election. the president tweeted this in part, quote: nancy pelosi is asking for $2.4 trillion to bail out poorly-run, high-crime democrat states, money that is in no way related to covid-19. we made a very generous offer of $1.6 trillion, and as usual, she is not negotiating in good faith. i am rejecting their request and looking forward to the future of our country. i've instructed my representatives to stop negotiating until after the election when, immediately after i win, we will pass a major stimulus bill that focuses on hard working americans and small business. president trump's decision today sent stocks lower on wall

street. the dow fell 376 points, the s&p down 48, the nasdaq falling 178 points. the indexes, however, are still up for this two-day week. president trump's declaration today was made from the white house residence. president trump is working there, of course, as he recovers from the china virus. white house doctor, dr. sean conley today said president trump is showing no symptoms of the virus after a restful first night at home. president trump released a video message last night in which he urged americans to be cautious but not to be fearful, not to fear the china virus or allow it to consume their lives. the president also thanked all the medical professionals who helped him during his recovery. >> i just left walter reed medical center, and it's really something very special.

are concerned about six mailboxes that were tampered with over the weekend. the reported thefts occurred in the richmond area. they stole the mail. they come during the third week of early voting, by the way, in virginia where many are using the mail-in and absentee ballots. and, of course, as you see there, a availing themselves of what nancy pelosi calls election central, the u.s. postal service. of course, it's just comprised of some seven, seven postal employee unions. the perfect, the perfect neutral election central. newly-released and unredacted e-mails reveal more about the state department's spying against conservative voices including myself. the e-mails from march and april of 2019 show state department

officials were ordered to end the spying on these individuals, including myself, and their social media accounts. one state department official wrote in an e-mail that monitoring these individuals violated federal law. this e-mail had previously been released but was nearly fully redacted, as you see here. that's what i call full redaction right there. and transparency? not so much, is it? it's never been a strong suit of the deep state or, in fact, the state department. and another e-mail indicates that the state department official george kent was ready to run defense for joe biden. can't rub this. biden and burisma looking ahead to 2020. note to my mind the mother load and main trend to pay out possibly through november 2020. indeed. well, joining us now "just the

the cia intercepted information that the russians overheard hillary clinton talking to a foreign policy adviser about stirring up, the word john brennan uses, stirring up a bogus russian collusion story to vilify -- that's another word the cia uses -- donald trump and to distract from all of her scandals whether they were the e-mails or her own russia scandal. and this was taken so credibly that the cia director himself, john brennan, briefed the president and wrote notes on what he told the president. and then they became concerned enough at the cia that he went over and told fbi they should investigate this in september. here's the dirty secret, this is all scintillating, it's exciting. the fbi knew from the beginning this was a political dirty trick. how do we know that? on day one when christopher steele walked in and said, ta da, here's my dossier, he told his fbi handler july 5th, 2016, i'm working for hillary clinton.

they knew this was a hillary clinton dirty trick. how do we know? james basic, the general counsel of the fbi, testified that multiple times fbi people -- excuse me, fbi people were inundated by clinton people trying to peddle anti-trump stuff, most of it false and inaccurate. the fbi knew this was a dirty trick, the cia knew it was a dirty trick, and yet they persisted to carry out a three-year investigation without any evidentiary basis. lou: and as if there weren't voluminous reasons for the cover-up, this means that a lot of people had to know -- >> yes. lou: -- that this was an absolute run at overthrowing the president of the united states. they had to understand that they were being called upon as intelligence officers, as fbi investigators to try to block the election of a man who would ultimately win the presidency.

>> yeah. lou: this is, it just comepounds the outrage -- compounds the outrage and makes me wonder, frankly, john, why is it taking william barr and john durham so long to bring charges? because just on this evidence alone there is sufficient cause, it would seem to me, to bring charges against them. and secondarily, there's certainly every reason with the brennan notes to ask the president of, the former president of the united states what the hell did he know and when did he he know it. because -- >> yeah. lou: -- this is the first documentary evidence that tie it is him directly -- ties him directly to obamagate. >> yeah, absolutely. lou: am i wrong? >> by january of 2017, barack obama's instructing comey keep going after flynn, put your best people on it. at that point they knew there was no evidence. president obama knew in july of 2016 hillary clinton had put this whole thing together, it

was a dirty trick. because john brennan told him. and this is very important, the democrats are going to counterfact and say this was russian disinformation, that's all this is. the cia has assessed that this information was not russian disinformation. that's very important to understand. this was real. that's why they told the president. that's why they referred it to the fbi. and it is a travesty for the american people that their fbi, their cia carried out this political dirty trick with hillary clinton for nearly three years, hampering the beginning of the trump presidency and trying to stop him from winning the election. lou: and we know, those who want to advance the idea, that it was russian disinformation. these notes are contemporaneous -- >> that's right. lou: -- with the acts that were taken by these agencies, the cia, the dni and the fbi, to overthrow the president of the united states after trying to

block his election. so why would there be a delay on durham's part to bring this element to the public's attention in the form of i would think, first of all, an indictment? and failing an indictment before the election, certainly an interim report? >> yep. if he does not, and i'm increasingly believing he will not do something before the election, it will be a real tragedy for the american people. we deserve to know what happened in 2016. we learned from these notes today the fbi resip cent of the cia referral saying hillary clinton's up to a dirty trick, it's peter strzok himself, the man running the investigation. and let's take on one other issue when you come to russian disinformation. the only proven russian disinformation in the entire russian collusion story came from hillary clinton, hillary clinton's operative, christopher steele. we now know the cia believed that information in his dossier

was russian disinformation. the only perpetrator of russian are disinformation was the hillary clinton campaign and its foreign operative, christopher steele. we can't lose sight of that. lou: right. well, and i would only add the full disinformation campaign of the democrats as they pursued any act to try to block the election of this president and then his agenda and overthrowing once he was in office. and, obviously, complicit in that, adam schiff, jerrold nadler leading committees at the forefront of the impeachment effort. and, of course, the entire justice department is in question now because of the outrageous special counsel that had not a single evidence -- >> yeah. lou: -- any evidence whatsoever to proceed on. it just, it's stunning. john, how does it feel to be --

characteristic. we're dealing here with a psychosis. these are people who have lost their minds. you know, if somebody came out having survived breast cancer and said i feel that everybody should understand you can survive it, you don't have to be terrified, you can look forward to life, we would applaud that person. the same thing for somebody who came out with any other major disease. but if you're donald trump, he had two futures. he could be positive and optimistic in which case they would attack him for not being sufficiently frightened, or he could have frightened in which case they would have attacked him because he hadn't been frightened earlier. either way, they wake up every morning, they know they're going to attack trump. they're just not quite sure what it's going to be about until later in the day. i think it's a truly despicable performance. i think some of the people, people i like personally, jake tapper's comments, for for exam,

currently, the cdc claims that it is. joining us tonight, house minority whip steve scalise. he's also ranking member of the select subcommittee on the coronavirus crisis. congressman, great to have you with us and great to see you. >> good to be with you, lou. lou: let's start with the president -- it's great to have you. the president saying, that's it, ordering his representatives and specifically negotiators with the house to end all negotiations with pelosi and the house democrats because he finds them intractable, and there will be only negotiations resuming of after the election. your reaction to his decision. >> well, lou, i applaud the president's patience in trying to get an agreement with speaker pelosi. the problem's been she's always moved the goalpost. and if you just look at the bill she passed just a few days ago on the house floor, it shows how unserious they are. they literally had billions of

dollars in there for people here illegally to get $1200 from the taxpayers of america. they had that money in the bill. they had over $250 billion to bail out failed states. we've been fighting just to get relief to small businesses and families who are struggling. if you look at heroes act one versus the latest heroes act, she actually defunded police from $600 million from one bill to next but fully funded illegals. that makes no sense. president trump said enough is enough, i'm not here to give billions of hard-earned taxpayer dollars to people here illegally. lou: and the president, i would think, would be roundly applauded for dropping these negotiations before the election because they were insisting, the house democrats, that the president sign a legislation, a bill that would fund all of the poorly managed blue states in the country.

specifically, new york, california. and we're talking about a huge commitment that would have amounted in time, certainly, to well e over a trillion dollars by itself. >> right. and these are self-inflicted wounds. look at new york, they're shutting their whole city down in the city of new york. you look at the states that are saying, look, we know the virus is out there, there's smart science, there's good protocols for how to safely reopen schools or businesses, let people do those things safely. and instead cities like new york are shutting everything down and crushing, crushing these small businesses, crushing the opportunity for people. and people are dying, by the way. look at the non-covid-related deaths right now. they're through the roof in states like that. so to send them hundreds of billions of dollars of our hard-earned money to continue shutting their economies down, it's their bad decisions that are killing their cities. open things back up again safely using the scientific protocols
