ignoring the noise from iranians and other people. kennedy: and the libyans. let's talk about the debate. the president is saying kristen welker can't be fair. based on what we know and what we see from the first debate, can she be a fair moderator? >> anyone could be a fair moderator. this year has seen horrible appearanced by the debate commission. they set up antiquated rules. it was billed as a foreign policy debate and it's not going to be and it's inappropriate. this president had a successful foreign policy in his first term and that is something he should get a chance to talk about and people should get chance to know what joe biden is going to do. trump not launching a war is big news.

it's something no other president has done in 40 years. even though they moved away from it, talk about foreign policy. americans have a right to know more about what joe biden would do. and more about what trump thinks. kennedy: some of the foreign policy issues he voted on during past administrations. let's talk about his son a little bit. that's where joe biden gets emotional. there are voters who have questions, there are trump supporters who are angry, and joe biden supporters who are worried if this unraveled too much before the election. who should bring it up. do you think the president is wise to press the former vice president on hunter biden or should he let the mode -- let the moderator do it. >> this is why having a good moderator is so important.

kennedy: do you think her record as a federal judge helped her more than not having a judicial record work against her when she was having the confirmation for her judgeship? shannon: i think it's clear the president and his team who advised him on federal judges was eager to get her on the bench so if an opening came up she would be ready to step in and say i have had three years on the bench as a federal judge. the aba came in, and they have slammed many conservative nominees. they said they talked to judges, and students and lawyers, and they could not find one person who would not confirm her as a

federal judge. kennedy: weep see if we have a didn't story monday night. the amy coney barrett confirmation should be helping the president. but frank luntz says the trump campaign is quote the worst he has ever seen. frank? >> donald trump is still in this race. he can still be elected. but the question is what's he going to say tomorrow night? is he going to come with his a game or come with something the voters don't care about. i don't understand why the campaign is so focused on hunter biden when there are so many issues the public cares more about. kennedy: the president is the president because of the laptop. and he hopes he will be president again. the trump campaign is pushing back hard. saying luntz said the same thing in 2016 and he was wrong.
