son's laptop are genuine. but the former vice president offered a rather testy response to the question. >> this is the same garbage rudy giuliani, trump's henchman, it's a last ditch effort in this desperate campaign to smear me and my family, and the vast majority of the intelligence people have come out and said there's no basis at all. lou: well, joe biden's claim that there's no basis that his family profited off his name contradicts what his own family has admitted, and it certainly contradicts the evidence. joe biden's brother, james biden, told " politico," quote: we've got people all around the world who want to invest in joe biden. and joe biden's son, who remains at the center of this corruption scandal, had this to say last year to disney's abc news. >> you didn't have any extensive

knowledge about natural gas or ukraine itself though. >> no, but i think that i had as much knowledge as anybody else that was on the board if not more. >> in the list, you gave me the reasons why you're on that board. you did not list the fact that you were the son of -- >> of course, no. >> what role do you think that played? >> i think that it is impossible for me to be on any of the boards that i just mentioned without saying i'm the son of the vice president of the united states. >> if your last name wasn't biden, do you think you would have been asked to be on the board of burisma? i don't know. i don't know. probably not. i don't think there's a lot of things that would have happened in my life if my last name wasn't biden. lou: joe biden is also once again trying to weaponize american intelligence to protect him, to shield him and for his own political gain. biden is now hiding behind former intelligence officials, all of whom have peddled the radical dems' lies that hunter

biden's e-mails could be, quote, russian disinformation. former dni james clapper, former director of the c ia john brennan leading that group just as they did when they were pushing the russia collusion narrative to try to stop donald trump's candidacy and then to overthrow the presidency of donald trump. in a letter signed monday, those ex-intelligence officials were forced to admit that they do not have evidence of russian involvement in the release of hunter biden's e-mails. that is because the director of national intelligence, john ratcliffe, has declared there is no evidence anywhere in the intelligence community, all 17 agencies, to support the outrageous claims of clapper, brennan and their gang on the russian disinformation campaign. none whatsoever. clapper, brennan and the rest of

the 50 are straightforwardly lying to the american public, and they have been caught thanks to john ratcliffe red-handed. and they have no way in which to defend the corrupt conduct of the bidens. and today current intelligence officials are saying that russia and no other foreign government ever played a role in the release of any of hunter biden's e-mails. fox news correspondent mike emmanuel has that in tonight's report. >> reporter: lou, good evening. senior u.s. officials say there is no evidence hunter biden's laptop and e-mails are part of a foreign influence campaign, and fox has confirmed the fbi's in possession of the laptop. the fbi responding in a letter to homeland security chairman ron johnson, it backs up what john ratcliffe said monday on fox business, there's no intelligence that supports this being russian disinformation. the fbi saying it has nothing to add at this time and, quote, if actionable intelligence is

developed, the fbi, in consultation with the intelligence community, will evaluate the need to provide defensive briefings to you and the committee pursuant to the established notification framework. texas senator ted cruz focused on one e-mail verified by fox about hunter's business dealings with chinese energy executives. >> obviously, we want to know if they're fake, but there's no allegation they're fake. if they're true, fox news has reported from sources that the big guy, referred to in the e-mails, is joe biden himself. and that is an important point. this whole inquiry is about joe biden who wants to be president of the united states and about whether joe biden was personally corrupt. >> reporter: the response from the biden campaign as joe biden has released his tax returns and financial disclosures. lou? lou: mike emmanuel reporting. thank you, mike. well, more tragic and damning truths about joe biden's son hunter. those truths continue to be unearthed.

president trump's personal attorney the, rudy giuliani, has released what he calls a sensitive text message between joe and hunter biden. in a discussion about his sister-in-law, holly biden, hunter wrote this, and i want to warn you, the language you're about to hear is disgusting, it is appalling and uncomfortable for anyone. with that warning, we begin. the text reads: she told my therapist i was sexually inappropriate. when she says i facetimed naked with the unnamed 14-year-old girl. and the reason i can't have her opt to see me is because i walk around naked smoking crack, talking -- and this is our redaction on this broadcast -- talking girls on facetime. biden continued and wrote: when she was pressed, she said the unnamed 14-year-old girl never said anything like that. but the bottom line is that i created and caused a very unsafe

environment for the kids. rudy giuliani says he handed over this information, these messages to the delaware state police who in turn have now, reportedly, given it to -- and you guessed it -- the fbi. we asked the delaware state police why they did that instead of carrying out their own investigation. we have not received a reply. joe biden and his family are doing their hardest to avoid this story. a press lid, a blackout has been called. joe biden's campaign calls it a lid, and they called it at 10:41 this morning. senator kamala harris did make an appearance today. she rallied in front of 25 people at an event in asheville, north carolina. this crowd was estimated, and they did call it a crowd, a crowd of 25 people.

compare that to the thousands of supporters who have turned out across the country in all sorts of venues for president trump's thunderous rallies. and the president tonight will be holding another rally in gastonia, north carolina. this will be his ninth rally in ten days. wow. this president means business. just who are the radical dems trying to fool? and more importantly, who are the pollsters trying to fool? this is a clear gap of enthusiasm, intensity and excitement between the supporters of president trump and joe biden. and it may well show up in the results in 13 days, that would be on november 3rd, election day. look at that crowd. well, president trump is threatening now to expose a

♪ lou: breaking news now, the presidential debate commission strikes again. there may be some changes coming to tomorrow night's debate. president trump's senior campaign adviser, jason miller, tweeted this: hearing at debates considering yet another new unilateral rules change, banning any questions to sleepy joe biden about foreign corruption and how much money is being set aside for the, quote, big guy. the debate commission this week also decided to mute the microphones of each candidate

that they already is have statutory authority to -- >> good. lou: -- regulate social media and to eliminate section 230; that is, immunity from lawsuits. this is a big deal. your thoughts about that judgment on the part of at least the staff of the fcc. >> yeah. there also may be an fec, an election violation here of twitter and facebook looking to help the biden campaign. they sure willing to print all kinds of things, false stories about the president, but it looks like this could almost be an election contribution here as well. i think any avenue where we can say rein these people in, because the fact is this: big tech out to get conservatives, big tech is out to get the president, big tech out to help biden just like they tried to help clinton in 2016. so i'm for any avenue that allows the american people to get access to all the important information that they need to have as they're making this important decision about who's

going to be the next president of the united states. lou: extraordinary reporting by the new york post, breaking the news of this scandal, the corruption of the biden family -- >> yeah. lou: hard evidence, computer files and e-mails on those hard drives. turned over to fbi, but the fbi is -- has had it for almost a year now and has done nothing. your thoughts about the fact that they have not acted at all. >> yeah. lou: doesn't the justice department have a division for public corruption? don't they have investigators that take a look at the obvious and then the begin an investigation and bring charges? we don't see it happen very often, but don't they have such a, such a mandate? >> well, of course. i mean, yeah. frankly, this shouldn't surprise us. this is the same fbi that didn't release the transcripts, it took

ric grenell and john ratcliffe to get the information to us. what was crust wray doing all that -- chris wray doing all that time? all these people who for years told us they thought there was collusion when, in fact, when they testified and were under oath said there wasn't collusion. so, you know, this is start of par for the -- sort of par for the course with mr. wray and what's happened at the fbi under his reign. look, this is important information. i hope theying dig into it, i hope we get all the answers so the american people can have this as we head into this election. and what i also hope, where's the media? there are three important questions the media needs to ask joe biden. are the e-mails accurate? are you the big guy referenced in those e-mails? and if not, if they aren't accurate and if you're not the big guy, why haven't you said so? those are the questions they need do to ask him, and i don't know that they will. frankly, right now they can't because he's in hiding. we know this, lou, staff on our committee, republican staff,

have spoken with people who have con formed to us that the big guy reference is, in fact, a reference to vice president joe biden. but the media need to ask those three questions of joe biden. are they accurate, are you the big guy referenced in one of those e-mails, and if not, why won't you say so? lou: well, as you know, the corporate left-wing media whether it's disney's abc news, viacom's cbs news, whether it's cnn's -- at&t's cnn -- >> yeah. lou: i mean, this is a blackout. they're coordinating with the presidential debate commission who want to limit summits that can be -- subjects that can be discussed or asked of the former vice president. it's outrageous. and if anyone ever doubted the existence of the deep state and the coordinated efforts to shut down this president's agenda and, indeed, to overthrow him over the course of the past four years, we've now seen that evidence run from the campaign

top american universities have taken in more than $6 billion in up up unreported foreign money, schools like georgetown and mit have each taken money from china, from russia and from saudi arabia. some of those schools' names have been redacted from the education department's report. that we're going to fix. we're going to find out what's behind every one of those redactions, because the american public must know. we do know it includes cornell. cornell has been given more than $6 million from huawei since 2014. that's right, huawei. the department of education tells us the redactions are a part of ongoing investigations. let me say this to you and to betsy devos: bull. get these names out there and

make sure we know what is going on in this government and our country. this has to stop, and it has to stop right now. what about the rights of americans who are funding those universities and going to them? they have every right and you have every responsibility the make sure we know. well, joining me now, former congress congressman jason chaffetz. also a fox business contributor. jason, great to have you with us. i want to get your reaction, first of all, to this extraordinary report. $6 billion, much of it in anonymous money, going to these universities. i understand they're delighted to have it just like they're delighted to fill up whatever the percentage of their student roster is with international full tuition-paying students, but give us your sense of what's going on and what should be done. >> well, the united states of america owes no privacy concerns to some foreign entity buying their way into institutions that

were paid for, supported by pax r taxpayers -- taxpayers and americans. you know, georgetown accepting millions of dollars or whatever it is, that should be fully disclosed. the betsy devos that i know, i think when this fully -- now that it's fully exposed, i bet she is first to say, yes, we're going to get these redactions out of there. i hope she does. she should. but there's no expectation of privacy for a foreign entity pouring their money to -- and what is it that they're getting? lou, if they're spending billions of dollars, they're getting something for it. i want to know what it is. lou: yeah. well, i'm afraid that we may know part of it. part of it are seats in those classrooms, part of it, certainly, intellectual pot that's being generated in those -- property that's being generated this those universities, more importantly. and we should point out that there's a prominent university

there are documents out there. you now have the director of national intelligence, john ratcliffe, going out there and telling people it's not are russia disinformation, and you've got an absent fbi, but you have senators, a responsible senator, a chairman of a senate committee e in ron johnson demanding more documents, drawing more attention to this. there is no reason why there is a lack of intellectual curiosity by these news organization other than them trying to help and push and run out the clock, trying to push joe biden and senator harris across the finish line in november. lou: doing their masters' bidding, whether it's at&t, disney, cbs/viacom, comcast or jeff bezos, the owner of the august washington post doing his bidding every day with great enthusiasm. give us your sense, as we wrap up here, the fbi has done almost

nothing. it's pretty clear we're not going to see an fbi report. we find out that the report, the documents, the evidence that rudy giuliani gave to the delaware state police has been turned over to the fbi. we find out that the fbi has had the hunter biden laptop for almost a year, and nothing has happened. what are we to conclude about the fbi and the prospects of the public's right to know being horned -- honored and they bringing a case? >> well, i think it's clear that director wray is not the transformative figure that we needed after james comey. there is a deep state operation there that has been aggressive in subverting the president and our country. and director wray was empowered to be in that position, but he's been in that position for years. you cannot point to anything of any substance that suggests that

we have never seen anything approaching this. maybe one news organization wouldn't cover something, but all of them? all of them with the exception of fox news as far as i know and a handful of talk radio hosts. >> right. actually, there's a story in "the new york post," multiple stories, and fox news and then, you're right, a handful of radio hosts and bloggers because what we're up against, lou, is exactly what you said, it's something we've never seen before. i was on the phone earlier with senator ron johnson, we were discussing the letter that was sent to him the other day by the fbi just recently in response to his questions about hunter biden's laptop, legitimate questions, that ask, you know, when you got this laptop, what did you discover, is this legitimate information, what can we get from the fbi, what can we garner? not only, not only is the media not doing their job, it appears that the fbi is not doing their job because senator johnson told

me that the fbi, director wray in particular, didn't answer any of his questions. so there has to be a constant, i think, pressure from the american public on the bureaucracy, and i was listening to jason chaffetz and what he was telling you. and i think he's right on the money. president trump, after this election when he is reelected, needs to fire christopher wray. he is not doing his job. he's protecting the bure rock su but not the american people. and this story is fundamentally probably one of the most important stories of our time right now, and we need to get to the truth of what happened with hunter biden and if there was any criminality because there is a predicate for an investigation here. lou: i believe it's second only to the largest scandal, the largest political crime in our country's history, and that is the assault on president trump, the efforts to block his candidacy -- >> absolutely. lou: -- and then to overthrow his presidency and for now in the fourth year we are watching

this unfold, trying to protect and bolster the candidacy of his opponent. it's outrageous, and do you think the american people -- we know about half the country understands the outrage that is being perpetrated by the radical dems, the deep state, corporate media, academia -- >> right. lou: but the other half, how does the president of the united states break through all of that to get the truth to those americans who'll be deciding the fate of the republic, in point of fact, on november 3rd? >> well, because the media has done such a disservice of overall to the american people, the president needs to speak out very clearly during his debate and during his town halls, and he needs to call out, call out joe biden, ask him the questions directly if nobody else is and continue to pressure that and
