stimulus and that's why we are rally me. another group expect a tropical win. very few expect a democrat clean sweep. bottom line, stocks are up on this wild election a end of the electioneering is not over. at joe biden will break tradition and campaign on election day, to events in pennsylvania today. president trump is still fighting for every vote he can get as he ended his michigan rally in the early hours this morning and he appeared on "fox & friends" a couple of hours ago. later, he will visit republican headquarters in virginia. you will see it all. monday was one of the most amazing days in presidential politics, nonstop rallies for both candidates, enormous crowds for the president , not so much for joe biden. enthusiasm gap was on full display. what struck me was the impromptu motorcades and campaign flybys over the place, spontaneous, never seen anything like it before.

shall we get on with it? brian belsky is here, market watcher's supreme zero and is usually bullish. bullish brian belsky, why do you think the market is up 39400 now and up 400 yesterday. why do you think it's up? >> good morning and i echo your comments in the beginning of the broadcast, it's an honor to be here with respect our country in terms of the election. i think there is short covering that occurred over the weekend. obviously you know october was one of the worst months we have seen all year outside of march and is that we have some repositioning. i believe the market and a lot of the short-term traders are actually buying into the market again given the fact that the polls were so skewed towards mr. biden we think that's way too premature. we have been guiding clients on to make any decisions on their portfolio with respect to politics and we think it's way too premature.

race mentioned almost as many times as the presidential race this morning. it comes down to the case made by the challenger is one character. there are issues in his past as he has had multiple affairs and those are issues he will have to overcome. when you talk to voters in north carolina, this is what i found, i will give you three issues that have come up as the most important. number one, the economy. they are worried about shutdowns. they are worried about businesses that have been crushed. economy is number one. number two they like president trump is not a politician. they like his attitude and that he fights and that he doesn't have 47 years of experience in washington. then i heard over and over and this is about the senate race with the gubernatorial race in north carolina and presidential race, this moment in history, so may people have said it's a stark across in the road for america to choose what our future will look like, two

in philadelphia for instance isn't there and they are trying to drive voters to the polls and not a zoom all they said it comes down to one state may think that's pennsylvania and they realize they have not put the work in. stuart: our viewers are looking at joe biden in scranton as we speak. my question to you is, karl rove said this morning on fox doesn't expect to result pennsylvania until saturday and i understand one election official told fox earlier today that there is no way you're going to get election results by tonight in pennsylvania. what are you guys doing about this? >> so, first we think we will have results tonight because we don't think it will come down to one state and that we will win many more, but what we are doing in pennsylvania is low, the legislature in pennsylvania has a spoken and they said ballots can only be counted up to election day. a court ruled differently but the u.s. constitution says the legislature decide so it's necessary if we

need to we can engage in litigation to make sure it's a vote encapsulated by what the rules in pennsylvania site, but ultimately i think we prevail by more than what the polls are saying though we know joe biden has said he would not concede under any circumstances as the word hillary endorsed. stuart: i know you can't see this but our viewers are watching joe biden in scranton pennsylvania and i'm absolutely struck by the total lack of enthusiasm and the total lack of a crowd. the camera is pulling back and we can see joe, 30 or 40 people there i would be surprised. i can see a couple of science. i don't hear much copying, cheering, stamping or anything like that at all. is such an extraordinary contrast between donald trump and joe biden today. >> it is. look, we were in scranton, pennsylvania, yesterday with a massive rally and tons of people

in the president looked at me after and said, wow, that energy level is incredible like nothing we had seen, the level of energy enthusiasm. there were more one eels everywhere, young people who we know traditionally vote democrat took there is an enthusiasm there in striking contrast. i hear the images described by you that 30 or 40 people in a place where we had thousands. stuart: and you cannot hear him, i mean, we have the audio on and we can hear what's being said and it's difficult to hear what joe biden is saying. he has a mask on and he's trying to use a bullhorn. i can see the crowd now. if it's 30 people, i'm surprised, kaylee. i know i'm feeding you the good stuff you want to hear, but i am struck by this, i mean, really extraordinaire difference. anyway, what are you going to do today? >> so, today i will be out on tv and radio talking to the american people. the president has a number of hits lined up himself directly to the

stocks are rallying, good morning, stuart. i do believe president trump will win. i think the rallies you just pointed out are big reason why i believe that and i believe what he's done over the last four years is enough to earn another four years. the stock market definitely doesn't want more uncertainty. definitely does not want a hanging chad situation where we don't have president elect for another month or another two months. i believe the rally we see is based on the fact that the market is looking at this and they are realizing president trump is going to be victorious and we are going to have some certainty and we are going to have a very great recovery for the us economy in 2021. stuart: suppose it's a biden when, but republicans keep the senate. said that equally bullish because biden will have to spend big and wall street likes that? >> short answer, yes. in the bigger picture,

when you talk bullishness i think the united states of america standing globally would be affected negatively by a biden presidency. so, to say the stock market could do well, guess i agree with you on that, but when you start talking about a more socialism in the us , eventually that's going to trickle down in the stock market. when we don't have capitalism or we have less capitalism in this country, that's a negative for companies out there trying to increase earnings and stock prices, so it would be long-term negative, i believe. stuart: mike, thank you for joining us. let's sort something out, j.p. morgan says it's time to take profits from big tech stocks. likely to four years ago technology has outperformed on the nasdaq has more than doubled in the past four years as a result j.p. morgan says tech companies have done so well maybe it's time to take money off the table and go elsewhere.

them on the up side. and they are all huge winners from the pandemic and from the closure of brick-and-mortar stores. online shopping up again. alibaba, i know its way down, eight and half percent. susan: stunning reversal. it was said to be the world's biggest ever ipo racing around $35 billion in a dual listing in hong kong and shanghai this is stunning because it's a complete surprise and that's why you have this reaction today. alibaba, the world's fifth-largest company is the fact that shanghai stock exchange has been there-- there has been material events that has not been properly disclosed to investors and that's why they are forcing the shelving of this monstrous ipo and as a result alibaba has had to shelve and cancel their hong kong leg of this ipo and they are returning money to

investors. it's a big deal because it's the world's largest startup or $300 billion on its own and this was to shatter records, but we have government control and regulation surrounding any kind of throws a wrench into things. stuart: that's not germane to the election but it's a big deal, it largest company in the world-- susan: fifth-largest. stuart: i'm sorry, fifth-largest. paypal, they have reported their earnings, stock is down 6%. i guess they were not a pandemic winner? susan: they were because lockdowns meant they shift to online banking. that's an accelerated trend. it's also meant the more users are using paypal. paypal has made more money, more sales than forecast the problem is the holiday shopping. not as great as wall street hopes pick the company is on track to process nearly a billion dollars in online payments. it's a new world and the

modern world we live in with peer to peer. looking at the price hikes, 240 was the highest. stuart: you mean some of the analysts think it's going to 240? susan: yes, 240, 215 is pretty much the average. stuart: two big losers, alibaba and paypal on the downside. tell me about walmart pic i don't know if this is a big story or not. susan: it is for saving american jobs. stuart: is that why they are doing it? susan: yes. this is a win for humans. who would have thought 2020 dow would be the case and walmart is the largest employer in america so it is a big deal. walmart was looking to use robots i guess to track inventory, but given the fact that we have covid and more

people are shopping online they have humans going through the aisles trying to pick up each item to ship out so why not use them to track inventory instead. this is a big win for workers and american jobs. i should note walmart hired around 250,000 during covid and hiked wages. stuart: and the stock is up on this news nearly $2, when and how%. wayfarer, the online furniture people reported their earnings. lauren, the stock is down. i thought they were a pandemic winner. lauren: i went to check into this because moments ago the stock was up 12%. they did report adjusted earnings. they grew their revenue to make 3.8 million. customers are sitting home sprucing up their homes and the ceo says with christmas on the holidays upon us, it will continue whenever. i'm giving you this metric, they delivered

ed yardeni is with us. you're looking at the rally, ed. what is this market telling us about the election? >> i don't know, it's hard to say whether this is a real vote for either candidate or -- i think the market may be voting for gridlock or expecting gridlock, and gridlock generally has been bullish. this past weekend barron's wrote a front cover story. i have it right here, and it's got not biden, doesn't have trump on it, it's got jerome powell, the fed chair, and it's titled the winner. and i completely agree with the premise of the story that no matter who wins today or the next few days, jerome powell's still going to be with us until 2021, early 2021, and he's made it very clear they're going to keep interest rates near zero. i think the article reminded a lot of investors this that no matter who's at the white house, who's in the majority in the

house and senate, monetary policy is going to remain extraordinarily loose, easy and bullish for the stock market. stuart: did i read somewhere, ed, that you think we're going up another 7% from the levels that we're at now in. >> well, from the levels we were before the prior rally of the past few days. i'm, i think we'll be back testing the highs of september 2nd, so that's 3500 on the s&p 500 and 3800 by the middle of next year. i think we're going to get through this virus. i think we're going to get a vaccine, i think we're going to learn to live with it one way or the other. and i think once that all happens, i agree with you, we're going to have prosper few. i call it the roaring 2020s, and i see a lot of reasons why that might actually occur. stuart: wow. ed, that's very strong stuff. the roaring 2020s? i mean, from here on out it's like the 1920s until 1929 and the crash, but is there a similarity? is there really?

that last a lot longer, that keep a charge a lot longer. that's going to be electric cars. so i think there's going to be a revolution there. and this is not a forecast. we can see that it's happening. i think we're seeing a lot of technological innovations in food production. i mean, if they can actually start to produce food in factories and they a taste reasonably likely, what we get now, that could actually solve a big part of the climate problem that we have out there. artificial intelligence, robotics, all means that supply chains can come back to the u.s. in a very cost effective way. maybe we'll have empty malls, but they're going to be destructs centers. heck, why couldn't -- distribution centers. why couldn't you just put a 3-d manufacturing facility to make lego homes and just load up the components on the trucks and the loading vans and have three people assemble them?

[laughter] stuart: i got it, grady. thanks very much, indeed. i want to bring in kelly sadler, communications director after america first. kelly, i want to talk about registration of voters. there has been a gap. you are trailing registered democrats. have you closed the gap? in battleground states, i should say. >> yeah, we're closing the gap in the battleground states. now, this is something we've been very active on throughout the summer. in the state of pennsylvania, for example, democrats have an advantage. there's more registered democrats than republicans. but recall in 2016 the president won pennsylvania by around 44,000 votes. republicans since 2016 have registered 200,000 new voters, new republican voters in the state of pennsylvania alone. and they're in critical areas like in scranton and the suburbs

of pittsburgh where we know these voters are motivated by the fracking issue, by the economic issue and what the president has delivered with all of these trade deals. in the state of florida, we had something similar. in 2016 there was 400,000 more registered democrats than there were republicans. the president still eked out a win. but today as it stands, i think it's like 170,000-voter difference. so we closed that gap, we've also closed it in north carolina and in arizona. stuart: okay. some good news from gallup. they've got a poll that shows 58% of voters say they're better off now than they were four years ago. obviously, that's good for mr. trump. however, is the economy the major issue in this election, or has it shifted to the virus, opening up, masks, vaccines? what do you think? >> i think that'll be determined tonight. we'll have a better read on that situation. i mean, obviously, there's been two completely different campaigns. the president has been running

on reopening the economy. we've got the therapeutics, we've got the vaccinations in the pipeline. but we had 33.1% gdp growth last week, and this doesn't even account for states like new york and california that are still shut down. meanwhile, you have joe biden out on the campaign trail saying that he is for these lockdowns. you have pete buttigieg who said, yeah, dr. fauci wanted another shutdown, we might have to go with the science here. not i saying that the president is against the science, he is just for the economy. he's for reopening, resuming our lyes, taking the -- lives, talking the prevawtions that we need but, you know, we need to reinvigorate this economy. he's done it once, he'll do it again, and we'll see tonight where the american people fall on that issue. stuart: you are very confident, aren't you? >> i feel so good today. i see the red wave comingment when lisa booth was on, the polls have discounted us, the journalists have discounted us, but we feel confident in our

for weeks they have been scrutinizing questionable mail-in ballots. for example, where the signature on the envelope. is not exactly like the one on file. yesterday and even today people with mail-in ballots who still had not mailed them can still come drop that ballot off in person. otherwise, if you waited til today, you've got to go in person. the upside is, huge turnout and long lines are not expected at all. historic early voting in florida has resulted in 9 million ballots already cast, both by mail and in person. the broward county supervisor of elections says he expects today to be and feel more like a municipal election than a presidential election. >> pretty smooth operation because there are, there's so many people have voted. i think there are very few people left to vote. i think about 125,000 maybe will vote tomorrow. and that's a very manageable number for broward county.

i honestly don't know. look, i am an optimist, as you know. i believe my boss, president trump, is going to win. stuart: here's when i'm hearing from from so-called analysts on wall street. a lot of them are saying biden wins the white house, but the republicans keep the senate, that would be a split decision and would mean a lot of spending, a lot of stimulus, and that's why the market is up today. what do you say to that? >> gosh, there's a lot of yarns that can be spun over this. i have no idea, to be perfectly candid. by the way, just on that point, stuart, just on that point, wall street, of course, wall street is different than investors. investors are all over the country, over 100 million. wall street you've got a few voices that say weird things. i just thought i'd put, you know, you're the perfect guy. stimulus spending in emergency emergencies, okay. but as an ongoing policy, you know, those spending multipliers do not work, gave us the slowest

recovery under obama/biden in their eight years. why not, this is a radical thought, why not let people keep their own money? why not let people keep more of their own money? why not let people working hard and small business people keep their own money? why do we always think spending is such a great idea? why not lower tax rates, for example, to create incentives? this sort of thing drives me crazy. it's like -- no, it's not. spending is not the path to prosperity. incentives and markets and lower taxes and regulation and strong energy, that's the path to prosperity as we've already said. i get so tired of this. whoopee, more stimulus spending. take a look at -- go back ten years when they did that under president obama and vice president biden. cbo, federal reserve, all these geniuses were predicting 4% growth or better. guess what? it never happened.

they got less than 2%. spending is not an answer. stuart: i remember first meeting you back in the early 1980s -- [laughter] working in the reagan administration. >> yes, sir. stuart: back then investing was a very different thing. i think it was the elite investors, most ordinary people did not. but today, as you say, you've got 100 million people with a 401(k), an ira, a pension plan of some sort, most of it invested in stocks. we're all related to wall street these days, and stock prices make a big difference in the ordinary people's lives. >> right, right. stuart: it's a completely different ball game. so we have an interest in keeping that market up there. >> you're totally right, stu. you don't remember, but on another network, on another show, i was your washington correspondent when i left the reagan administration.
