great to see you again, brandon, thank you so much. appreciate it. and thank you, folks, for watching "the evening edit" on fox business. liz should be back tomorrow night. that does it for us, have a great evening. ♪ ♪ ♪ lou: good evening, everybody. history made on wall street today. a huge rally. the dow jones industrials climbing over the 30,000-point milestone for the first time in history. the dow jones industrials closing at 30,045 points, up 455 points on the day. the s&p up 58, the nasdaq gaining 156. in less than four years, president trump unleashed the market. since his inauguration the dow jones industrials gaining more than 10,000 points, and the market cap up more than $18

trillion since he was elected four years ago. president trump's stewardship of the i economy and these markets coming despite a never ending assault from the radical left, the deep state, are resistance from the rinos of his own party, a politically corrupt judiciary, not to mention a global pandemic unleashed by china on an unsuspecting world. 2020 has been an unforgettable year. and an impromptu press briefing today, the president hailed his administration's efforts and congratulated the american people for their part in this historic achievement on the market. >> i just want to congratulate everybody. the stock market, dow jones industrial average just hit 30,000 which is the highest in history. we've never broken 30,000, and that's despite everything that's taken place with the pandemic. i'm very thrilled with what's

happened on the vaccine front. that's been absolutely incredible. ing nothing like that has ever happened medically, and i think people are acknowledging that. and it's having a big effect. but the stock market's just broken 30,000. never been broken, that number. that's a sacred number, 30,000. nobody thought they'd ever see it. that's the ninth time since the beginning of 2020, and it's the 48th time that we've broken records during the trump administration, and i just want to congratulate all the people within the administration that work so hard. and most importantly, i want to congratulate the people of our country, because there are no people like you. lou: well, the president touting this booming economy and markets as his campaign celebrated two major victories in key battleground statements in the battle for the white house. in michigan state lawmakerrers there have agreed to hold a

hearing wednesday morning into electoral irregular fews and anomalies -- you are regularities and anomalies. the trump campaign hoping this hearing will expose some at least of the fraud that has plagued that state's election. in pennsylvania the third circuit court of appeals granting the trump campaign's request for an expedited are view of the lower court's dismissal of the campaign's request to stop the state's vote certification. no hearing has been scheduled yet. these court victories come as the president has allowed the general services administration to begin the initial steps of a transition of power after the agency's administrator, emily murphy, had received threats to herself and family over some weeks as the transition had been delayed. president trump made it clear that his fight and in the courts will go on. he tweeted this, being allowed

waits in the balance, americans are making it clear who they want many in charge of the upper chamber. republicans want control for the party of the senate. the latest harvard caps harris poll finds 56% of voters want are republican control of the senate compared to only 44% for the dems. we will have much more on all of this throughout tonight's broadcast. we'll be joined by attorney sidney powell on the latest in her fight to expose electoral fraud amongst the voting companies involved in this year's election. national security expert jim hanson joins us to take up the issue of the ongoing and in many cases worsening chinese threats to this country. investigative journalist john solomon is here as is attorney phil klein who saws nearly -- says nearly 160,000 ballots in washington are invalid and should be tossed.

much of the nation's focus has been aimed at the battle for the white house for these last three weeks. three weeks today. yet president trump continues to defend the united states on all fronts, especially when it comes to protecting the the nation frm threatening china. a stark contrast to joe biden whose national security adviser, as vice president jake sullivan has encouraged china's rise saying in 207, quote: we need to encourage china's rise with an open, fair rules-based regional order. a middle course? you, you're probably not among those who voted for such a course, but there it is. for more on president trump's efforts to stop china's red storm, we turn to fox news correspondent benjamin hall. >> reporter: lou, president trump has been tough on china throughout his whole presidency,

and he continues to this day to told them to account and contain their growing aggression. yesterday president trump took the step of banning u.s. investment in 89 chinese companies. this follows on to an executive order that bans any u.s. investment in companies owned or controlled by the chinese military. president trump is has also been increasing support to u.s. allies in the region, helping this many to counter the chinese threat not only by selling billions of dollars in arms to taiwan, but also strengthening ties with its government which remains under threat of invasion. this week as taiwan unveiled its own home-built submarine against an invasion, the administration sent two-star navy admiral michael studman to the asia-pacific region to build bridges. this drew immediate threats of retaliation from beijing. president trump is also thought to be planning other actions aimed at containing china including aunt-exploitation --

[inaudible conversations] >> we called for the resignation of our secretary of state, is what we did. we're calling for lawsuits -- [applause] we're doing a lot. >> reporter: but some of the president's supporters say gop leaders are not doing enough to overturn the results. lynn wood, a prominent pro-trump lawyer who is appealing a federal court ruling against his initial lawsuit to prevent georgia from finalizing its election tally, tweeted: if not fixed, i will not vote in georgia runoff. well, today georgia began a statewide machine recount at the request of the trump campaign. meanwhile, democratic senate candidates raphael warnock and jon ossoff are criticizing gop leaders for casting doubt on the integrity of the election. state elections officials say that more than 760,000 georgians have requested absentee ballots, that is three times the numbers of requests that they received in the 2018 election.

lou: breaking news and more evidence of silicon valley, big tech and social media's outright manipulation of the election and voters. prominent psychologist and professor dr. robert epstein says google swayed at least 16 million voters to joe biden in this year's election. he testified to congress that this would happen. he says it did happen, saying google was suppressing the vote of those conservatives. for example, only liberals received the reminder to vote oning google's home page. -- on google's home page. conservatives did not. just one small example.

failed vice presidential candidate, former speaker of the house, runo paul ryan -- rino paul ryan has chosen his moment to be back with his unsolicited analysis about this year's presidential election. ryan today speaking virtually to the bank of america european credit conference, saying this about the election: i think maybe even more important is that these legal challenges to the outcome and the attacks on our voting system really need to stop, in my opinion. the outcome will not be changed, and it will only serve to undermine our faith in our system of government, our faith in our democracy. are you kidding me? a grown man talking like he's giving a sixth grade civics address to the class. by the way, that goes some part of the way to explaining why he threw away the midterm election in 2018 and eliminated the control of the republican party

from the house. well, dominion voting systems trotting out a d.c. public relations firm to run cover for its problematic conduct during this year's election. in defending dominion, spokesman michael steele says dominion is funded by american capitalists. he calls it an american company. but dominion president and ceo is a canadian citizen, and he told congress in january he owns 12% of the company. 75% of dominion is owned by staple street capital, a private equity firm run by foreman managers of the carlyle group. no other investor owns more than 5%, we're told, but dominion will not tell us who they are or who is behind dominion. joining us tonight by phone is sidney powell, defense attorney for general michael flynn, former federal prosecutor herself and a great american. sydney, great to have you --

sidney, great to have you with us. let's start with the ownership of these voting firms. i know you're focusing on that part of the, of the electoral fraud that's been perpetrated this year in this election. why don't we know who they are? [laughter] >> well, because they've used multiple shell companies and now, apparently, private equity groups to hide their actual ownership. but there's no doubt that the software was created and used in venezuela to control the elections and make sure that hugo chavez was always reelected as the dictator of venezuela in what appeared to be, quote, free and fair elections, end quote. but they were manipulated by the software used in the dominion machines and used by other machines in the united states, frankly. and we are just continuing to be inundated by evidence of all the frauds here in every manner and means of fraud you could possibly think of.

lou: i think many americans have given no thought to electoral fraud that would be perpetrated through electronic voting; that is, these machines, these electronic voting companies including dominion, prominently dominion at least in the suspicions of a lot of americans. we don't even know who has actually seen this software work. we don't know where their servers are for sure. with know a couple of them are overseas, and by overseas i mean in germany and spain. it's just stunning that we have progressed this far with these companies and have permitted these entities that we don't know what their ownership is, we don't know what their possible bias is. how could this be? >> because of all the corruption in the country. we need to find a way to follow the money back as far even as when this was approved by the

special government committee called cfius, cfius, which are the heads of the respective agencies at the time who approved dominion coming into the country and running our elections. and, i mean,care runs maloney and klobuchar and warren have been raising cain about this issue for a long time, but nobody's done anything about it. lou: as recently as last year. >> yeah. and as best i can tell, both parties have any number of people who were involved, and the fact that this continued to play any role in our elections whatsoever, we have no idea who all has benefited from it. somebody needs to do a massive money-following investigation to find out who paid what to whom. lou: well, you have promised a krakken will be unleashed. we are, we were expecting perhaps your suit would be filed

yesterday or today. when shall we expect your lawsuit? >> well, i think no later or than tomorrow. it's just going to be, it's a massive document. and it's going to have a lot of exhibits. lou: and who will be the defendant? or defendants? >> the defendants are going to be folks in georgia who are responsible for supposedly making sure the elections in georgia are done properly, and there are just countless incidents of voter fraud and election fraud writ large in georgia. lou: in georgia. are you planning any other suits beyond georgia? >> yes, we are. we'll be rolling them out as fast as we possibly can because it affected the entire country actually. we even have an affidavit now from a distant state that's done by one of the election officials

in the state telling us all the things that person witnessed as being wrong there. so it was nationwide. lou: well, the number of affidavits is voluminous now. the eyewitnesses are considerable. your thoughts now about what will be the impact and it be add jude candidated -- adjudicated in such a way as to meet all of the deadlines that are forced upon you? that is, december 8th, december 14th. give us your sense of the timing and the urgency of getting this to resolution. >> yes. well, obviously, it couldn't be more urgent. but, yes, the timing deadlines should be able to be met, and the evidence is so overwhelming, it's almost as though they were so blatant about it they expected us to catch it, and, you know, maybe it's a diversion from something else that's going on, i don't know. but it's also clear that there

was foreign intrusion into our voting systems, and that's going on the the real where the rubber meets the road. lou: a person that i hold in high regard who's been at various points in this political conflict over the last four years said that the difference this year in the political corruption and the pervasive nature of it is that he believes the left doesn't on care. the radical dems, the deep state don't even care whether we find out what we know. and i thought about it, and, you know, i think he may be well -- that may be well considered. your thoughts. >> yes, i agree. i mean, that's exactly how blatant it is. and all kinds of it are equal lu blatant. i mean, people sitting on the floor writing on the side of buses filling out ballot of after ballot.

it's in your face everywhere. the statistical evidence is insurmountable. the mathematical evidence is to a mathematical impossibility. this is no way there was anything but widespread election fraud here. we've got one witness that says in arizona at least there were 35,000 votes added to every democratic candidate just to start their voting off. it's like getting your $500 of monopoly money to begin with when you haven't done anything. and it was only for democrats. lou: do you think that we're going to see the trump presidency saved? >> yes, i definitely do. there are, there's no issue in my mind but that he was elected in an absolute landslide nationwide. lou: sidney powell, thanks for being with us. we appreciate it. thanks so much. up next, former defense secretary james mattis, he spouted off again.

handton, former u.s. army special forces, a national security and foreign policy think tank fellow. good to have you with us. jim mattis doesn't like the idea of putting america first. what in the world does a general think about who doesn't think about america first? >> general mattis is a true patriot, and god bless him, but he's a perfect example of the type of outstanding battlefield commander who has no idea about geostrategy or foreign policy. and he probably should stop talking about it. and i think the problem president trump had was when he was working for him, he was trying to slow down the president's agenda. finish and once he left, as the president said, we got the first arab-israel lu peace a accords in dozens of years, we got north koreas pacified, we put china on their heels and qassem soleimani andal a baghdadi ended up dead. america first is what america needs, and general mattis should

probably stick to the things he was good at and write another memoir about the warsh not foreign -- about the war, not foreign powell. lou: and foreign policy is very much on the hides of all americans who are watching this battle for the white house play out as we see the foreign policy team that former vice president biden wants to assemble should he be elected. talking about china, the middle road with them? there is no reason to be competitive or concerned despite their expansion their and bellicose policy positions and rhetoric? >> and the problem with joe biden is he has always fundamental lu are misunderstood china. now, maybe it had something to do with all the money he was helping hunterrer haul out of there in their biden corruption.

but the problem is china is not an ally. they are our enemy. they are our main foe on the world stage. and if you ca push late and cringe in front of them and kowtow to their policies, you do america and the world no good. and that's the problem. joe biden could not be trusted, nor could his retread obama foreign policy team be trusted to make good deals for the united states. they would be a nightmare. lou: with, speaking of night mares, and that is -- nightmares, ands that is the prospects, the possibilities along the border between china and india and recent reconnaissance imagery showing a buildup of chinese military right there at the border. to what purpose, we could easily imagine. your thoughts about how serious that looks like it's becoming. >> it's extremely serious because it's not that common for the chinese to move troops

around. they like to do a lot of maritime expansion, they like to draw new lines on the maps of the ocean, and the fact that they're actually on the ground near india during a time where there's a lot of already internal conflict in india about kashmir does not bode well and is a pretty bellicose reaction from them that i think we have to take seriously. they're not helping things, and i think they're trying to take advantage of the chaos here to push their agenda. lou: if there were to be a biden administration, how concerned are you about asia? >> i'm concerned about asia in a huge way. and most of the rest of the world as well. the problem is joe biden as a globalist and his team of obama, you know, foreign policy gurus who all come from the america last school of foreign policy are going to put us behind the

enforcement officer because you don't have the right to pick laws that you think you will enforce, and you don't enforce laws that you don't agree with. that's not a law enforcement, that's a dictator. lou: he's sort of in a tough spot, isn't he? well, a "just the news" poll finds voters overwhelmingly support election reform. at least 70% of the poll's respondents supported purging voter rolls of those who don't belong on them, only counting mail-in ballots received by election day, reporting all votes on election night and having poll observers from both parties present at all times. what a good idea. joining us tonight is john solomon, editor in chief of "just the news" and best selling author as well. john, good to have you here. it's obvious that rudy giuliani

and his team are working against a tremendous set of deadlines here, and sidney powell the same for her, which she acknowledged here on the broadcast. this is tough stuff. >> it is. lou: sidney is very confident that the president is going to prevail. your thoughts. >> listen, the clock is ticking. the key for the legal team is to get beyond the constitutional legal arguments which a lot of legal scholars say they've met the threshold for the argument. the key to provide the sort of proof that would convince a judge that the irregularities, the rule changes, the questionable ballots would overcome any lead in at least three of the statements where joe biden is currently listed as leading, and i think that's the challenge, to come up with mathematical and evidentiary arguments that say, listen, if these things didn't happen, president trump probably would have won the state. and i think that's what people are working to do very quickly. today a very significant

lawsuit, action filed in wisconsin by the amistad project. that's a state where only 20,000 votes separate joe biden and donald trump. the amistad project put out mathematical evidence, other evidence showing that there could be as many as 150,000 votes that were fraudulent or um properly counted, improperly filed. that's the sort of mathematical evidence i think the courts have been looking for. now they'll have to adjudicate do we believe it, is it strong enough for a court to intervene in the election. but that's, i think, the challenge for the legal team the, they've got to show a scope of conduct, a scope of fraud that would have overthe taken the -- overtaken the lead had these things not occurred. lou: and that evidence statistically, mathematically, however you wish to express it, falls on the same line as any other circumstantial evidence of only with considerably more power given, given the bent, if you will, for science these days

and math mathematics one would . >> sure. lou: i don't hear a lot of people on the left paying attention to these minuscule possibilities that this vote could have been cowered out in a half dozen -- carried out in a half dozen states the way that vote unfolded. >> listen, there are the theoretical mathematical analyses which are very compelling. they just show the anomaly of chances that are very slight to have occurred, but in real terms there are strong pieces of evidence that misconduct happened. you know, in detroit you've got a city worker who swears that she was instructed and saw thousands of ballots being altered. you know in wisconsin a quarter million people were allowed to vote by skipping voter id rolls because they were allowed to be called shut-ins during covid. there are really concrete thing that have happened that affected large numbers of votes. beyond the mathematical analyses, in each state -- lynn wood filed in georgia, you've got these eyewitnesses saying we

saw thousands and thousands of plus teen ballots being counted for -- pristine ballots being counted for joe biden. they allegedly came out of envelopes, but they weren't folded. they are compelling and they are large in scope. so when you combine the mathematical, theoretical anomalies of the election with real eyewitness testimony and accounts, you get a sense that, you know, something did happen, and it's going to be up to courts. will the courts have the courage to say that what we see as evidence is strong enough for us to intervene and overturn the vote count. it's a big ask of the courts, it's a big job for the trump team, but i don't think it's impossible. lou: and rudy giuliani pointing out they have eyewitnesses. they have affidavits. they have evidence in case the national left-wing media were to ever be sincere about the request to see that very offering. it's going to be interesting to see how many of what have been
