point out the historic nature of that. watch. >> that number, that is a sacred number, 30,000 but doubly thought they would ever see it. that is the ninth time since the beginning of 2020. and is the 48th time that we have broken records during the trump administration. kennedy: now that is fantastic news if you have money in the market or a 401(k), was just over for 2% of americans do. there's other reasons to be optimistic. the vaccine means things will soon return to normal, whatever that is. but here's the problem. if your company is dead or dyin dying, or you are out of work and about to lose your home, the stock market and vaccines seem totally irrelevant. so what is the story and how can we emerge from this like a phoenix from the ashes? or are we on the precipice of something worse than a right riddled pandemic.

joining me tonight professor of business, he is a fox news contributor it is brian brenberg. welcome back. >> hey kennedy good to hear your voice. before we let's have some bran onyx bread you are the best person i know it describing and explaining these things. so how can we have one side that's completely rosy and people who are participating in that side that everybody's a comedown this is great. the other feels like the bottom is still going to drop out at any time. speech it's really hard to explain that kennedy. that 20 problems in the market right now but stock investors are looking beyond the next four to five months. they see vaccine, they think we get another stimulus. and they think we have divided government. they said that works for us, that can work for the economy. but balls and small business owners on main street, families as you mentioned struggling to pay the bills cannot look beyond 45 months.

and they're looking squarely in the face of the lockdowns that are coming. the stock market has the luxury of average people don't do that right now governors and mayors in some of these key cities that we've been talking about have not come up with anything more creative than locking down businesses. and not just any businesses. but the ones who suffered the most part it's the restaurants have the gyms, once were sitting there saying nobody is actually come to me with the data to show that my restaurant is a problem yet you're not letting me operate. those are the folks that need more than help 45 months from now. they need a commitment that they're operating safely they can do that. kennedy: if you own a gym or work at a gym is a personal trainer and you have no income you have unemployment that's going to run out at the end of the year. that is just over a month. as far as the cares acts the mortgage because ends in march

break that is right or on the. obviously we are at an impasse congressionally in terms of more stimulus and money. and if we are not going to get a stimulus, and people have to be able to work. there are others who want to spend their money but cannot eat outside and they can't go for a swim at their gym. >> guest: the debate around the stimulus to main drives me nuts every time i hear it. i think today it was ted cruz and aoc fighting about stimulus. the fact is, they could have gotten, they could get this done right now. and it could got done any point in the past several months because they had a bill on the table to address exactly the issues that have come up in the economy right now. i'm sorry it's not senate republicans were the problem here. they put that bill on the table. it's ideological purest. especially in the house to say we won't take anything less

than $2 trillion. but again, the people on main street who can't pay their bills, do not have the luxury of the purest. they want to get to the next four to five months. and the only way you can do that is to let them go to work or extend the unemployment benefit they need to capture. but if you don't do either one of those and there is no solution. it ted cruz is right on this one. aoc has got it wrong. they could get it done now. kennedy: $5 billion is nothing to sneeze at. is there still money left in the cares acts on? >> guest: yeah, there is still money left in the cares acts fu fun. it could be redeployed. you are so right that half a trillion dollars is nothing to sneeze out. robert turned back to the obama admits ration which i met 900 billion. thousand unprecedented huge numbers that point. bertin was something at that ballpark that would make a difference for people. let me add this though, kennedy. at the end of the davie

[laughter] two i'm not sure if the market is going to like this long

term. you guys are talking about the potential for another round of shutdowns. i was on a press call earlier today with jim from all across the country for the fitness industry has been absolutely devastated by this. by the shutdown. aptly devastated. all they do is go back to work. joe biden's talk about more shutdowns. there is anything happening right now for wall street and the economy, it is a reaction to divided government. nothing happens in washington. wall street happens in the box scene which donald trump ushered through. i think there are some real warning besides long term about the economy if we are going to go back into the type of shutdowns that we saw in the early spring. they're going to be parts of this economy that never, ever recover. see for the facility businesses that never recover. you are right about jim. i think one of the safest places to be if you're trying to fight the virus is in a jibe at entrance giant tab of

we have been hearing for so long that immunity could be quite truncated. when i spoke with an immunologist earlier in the week and he said the studies they are seeing now means the people who had the virus may actually have a longer term immunity. that could be good news. so, an addition to the vaccine were hearing about treatments like regeneron, which is what the president took. he had a pretty amazing recovery considering he was hospitalized and given oxygen in a couple days later he was back on the campaign trail. so regeneron obviously effective for treating covid it. do you think this could be used for other viruses in the future? >> guest: i'm hopeful we will be able to tackle these issues in the future. i don't think code is a last
