developed by aoc and the squad from very liberal progressive districts just do not resonate in the states that are key for national success. kennedy: may boy did they make moderates mad. probably in places like minneapolis and seattle they are defining the police were there drastically cutting police budgets, crime is going up there. so what will the reaction be? how will the pendulum swing here? they might get what they wished for, but do people -- what are the hate more? do they hate crime? or do they hate police? >> they hate crime it's very clear. in fact this is elite white college liberal graduates and defend the police bread but minorities they report to speak for do not want police services drastically cut. i am absolutely for reforming the police but we should be having them do different things. some less things. we are talking about the near police department conducting

administrations. and obviously the cia kind of national security is doing far too much that i find threatening on libertarian grounds. that ought to be looked into. they become things with carter page which is terrible. trump tended to make it all about what they had done to him personally and like that was the entire story. we know republicans are going to completely forget about the going to stop caring about how the cia, the fbi, et cetera treat normal americans. kennedy: that's true they went from caring to careless in terms of the egregious surveillance abuses. so kevin i think christopher wray is not done enough to shore up the reputation of the fbi. you still have a lot of questions. john durham has been appointed special counsel we found that out from bill barb yesterday. and now you've got outstanding

government is using a middleman, a data broker to essentially shred the fourth amendment. and i have got to tell you. i have been investigating this for in the vicinity of a year now. and the more information we get about this, the more troubled i am. and very shortly, i'm going to be introducing legislation. the fourth amendment is not for sale act. that is going to stop the government from going around the courts by ineffective paying off these sleazy data brokers. who you pointed out are getting the information from the apps. kennedy: when there is terms of use agreement on an app, nobody reads things it's like 1700 pages long. the companies know that. it is willful ignorance on no one reads all of that stuff. that does not mean the government should not be able

to use that. on one avenue when the other was complete shutdown to them. so my question is, is legislation the best way to shut this down? because technology is always ahead of the government. is there way of forcing this and refining it through the federal courts? >> i do believe, kennedy, we are going to need legislation. the fact is you can never freeze technology. you can't freeze innovation. that would make no sense at all. we have government agencies have confirmed to my investigators have been secretly tracking people's movements using location data purchased from data brokers. and by the way, it is not just location data that my bill is going to restrict. we're also going to make sure that the government cannot get the information, the data on
