he is the favorite guest of ours, republican greg stuebe of house judiciary. congressman, first your take on joe biden criticizing the pandemic response. what was your take? >> we wouldn't have a vaccine today if it wasn't for "operation warp speed" and congress allocating tens of billions of dollars for the research it took for companies to research a proper vaccine f it wasn't for president trump and wasn't for "operation warp speed" we wouldn't be where we are at today in this country where over 100,000 people in florida are getting vaccinated. there is million more doses on the way across the country that would not have happened but for a trump administration and "operation warp speed." elizabeth: you know the critics are saying biden is trying to lay down a marker to get more money for this vaccine push and take credit for the success of it. just over two million so far vaccinated. it is short of 20 million projected to be vaccinated by now. the effort does need more money. that is a problem. there is this, both biden and

6:05 pm
a vaccine in those comments and joe biden was too. they were playing politics with people's lives. the question is, congressman, what did joe biden and kamala harris do to get vaccines going? what did they personally do? >> first the hypocrisy of the left know no bounds and say that be one of the first people in line to get a vaccine but absolutely they have done absolutely nothing, biden and kamala harris have done absolutely nothing to insure this vaccine has gone out to millions of americans. it is because of donald trump and his administration. congress appropriated the appropriate amount of money to the companies to do the research. there was more money in the last bill the president signed on sunday for vaccines and for them to be distributed and for them to be programmed throughout the country. so the money is there. vaccines are out. we're getting millions across the country as we sit here today. hundreds of thousands of doses are coming to florida and have been done here in florida. so absolutely biden and harris did nothing for the vaccine to go out to our country but i can

garrity you after the trump administration has left you will see them try to take credit for all of americans getting vaccinated when it has been 100% the trump administration and "operation warp speed." elizabeth: so, yeah, to the obama-biden administration enacting "operation warp speed" for swine flu, infecting nearly 61 million. did they do it for that like "operation warp speed"? critics said no. what is the take senator mitch mcconnell, reports coming in he is introducing a bill with 2000-dollar relief checks as long as there is repeal of liability protection for google, facebook and study into voter fraud? >> six months ago he said that was something was a line in the sand for him. i agree with that 100%. americans, businesses, schools, need liability protection from covid lawsuits in order to safely get back to work and insure they're not going to be sued relentlessly over covid-19, people getting covid-19. so absolutely that should be a
6:07 pm
part of this. pelosi wouldn't have held all this negotiating up six months ago because of political reasons. she didn't want trump or trump administration to get credit for another covid package we wouldn't be where we're at today. so i'm happy that mitch mcconnell is now reviving talks about a vaccine or talks about liability protection to insure that the businesses and schools can properly open and not worry about lawsuits. elizabeth: yeah. he wants to yank it for google and other big tech. they have been accused of censoring conservatives. that is an issue too. we'll watch this one. like to move on to this republican critics say it is ironic senator schumer and democrats are demanding relief checks when democrat governors and mayors created a natural disaster in the country with botched lockdowns. what do you say? they are killing small businesses, killing the restaurant industry and hair salons. what do you say about that? >> i agree 100%.
6:08 pm
the lockdowns is what is killing americans right now. what is killing businesses right now. it is why you're seeing all sorts of businesses fleeing california and fleeing new york to come to places like florida where they can operate safely and have their businesses opening. we've been open here in florida since may. the economy has not been shut down. actually the economic numbers that came out of florida discuss so long ago, a couple weeks ago showed it is not as bad they thought it was going to be because we opened up. why should we give thousands and thousands, millions of dollars to these democratically-run states and democratically run cities who shut down their economies for months on end. that is not the appropriate response. we need to open up to get americans back to work. elizabeth: we hear what you're saying. covid-19 is so lethal. killed 335 americans right now. hospitalizations are up for places like california. critics say we are in a pandemic. we can't afford to take care of americans but we can take care of other countries, special

that senator rand paul is talking about. talk about that. he is reporting out again in his annual report what americans are paying for when americans back home are really suffering. >> when i got elected to congress the deficit was $21 trillion. it is almost $30 trillion. we doubled the amount in one year of deficits because of covid-19. we spent $1.4 trillion on covid-19 response. we can't continue to borrow and borrow and borrow money on future generations of americans and not start cutting places like this foreign aid to foreign governments that we should be focused on americans right now. if we don't do that the deficit will continue to proand social security and medicare will end up going bankrupt. elizabeth: congressman, there is also this, whether or not americans are being told the context of what is really going on with cove covid relief. earlier in the year judy woodruff of pbs, wolf bit sever attacked by nancy pelosi when

they questioned why democrats were stonewalling relief packages? why they turned down original relief proposals turning down $1.2 trillion. pelosi did a good job running out the clock the last minute, making anybody opposing bill look like bad guy. cnn doesn't report that. >> this president gained nothing with all these antics. nothing. just needlessly creating chaos because he could. and making it clear by the moment that he is completely abdicated his responsibilities as president. hear me, it is a disgrace. it's embarrassing. he is embarrassing himself. >> he could have signed the bill on time and then pushed for more money or better yet, he might have learned, leaned on his fellow republicans early and often and use his self-proclaimed deal-making skills to get a better deal in the first place. he had months to be clear,
