liz: let's's welcome back to the show "fox news" contributor byron york. your reaction have you ever seen a president. >> no. he did it on day one but you know you have to say this is what the most active is part of the democratic base wants from their new president. the executive order killing the keystone pipeline, costing 11,000 jobs, that's a campaign promise. that's what the activist days of the democratic party wanted with no expiration on federal land, killing thousands more jobs. that's what they wanted so president biden is not just making it up. he's fulfilling campaign promises. liz: that we have 85 house republicans out with new legislation to protect the keystone pipeline and thousands ofe jobs.

small businesses in mainstream america they also make a living off of jobs like this. that legislation would cut out president wyden's permission for the keystone. don't know fool of will pass the house or in the senate that now even montana democrats jon tester supports the keystone pipeline. what do you say? >> well this is a good linked, debate to have in congress. obviously a law would trump and executive action from president biden so that would bebe a big deal to what you're going to see here is the debate the twain do people mostly republicans who are arguing that the action is killing existing jobs with those democrats in the administrative and like the climate czar john kerry who is saying oh no this will create millions of new jobs. wyden has a goal to create 10 million green jobs in his

administration and if you remember back this is exactly what barack obama said when he became president. remember t he appointed a man named van jones to be the green jobs czar and they were going to kill the coal industry and create new green jobs and it didn't happen that way. maybe there is three, 3.5 million jobs that can be called green jobs today. the idea of creating 10 million more is just not going to happen whatn. you had with solyndra you willem have companies that will benefit from special treatment getting government largess for products that can't take it on thent market. liz: you know china dominates lithium batteries, they dominate the chemicals in the components for all of that. and we have had toppled palm officials warning hey you can immediately dialed back and shut

down colin fossil fuel jobs and expect all of a sudden the solar plants will pop up in west virginia. john kerry's family owns the private jet. private jets pump out 40% more than commercial airliners. john kerry has lectured oil and gas gas workers you have you have to lose your job while flying around in a right jet. even admits majority of emissions come from overseas. >> he also know paris alone is not enough. not when almost 90 percent of all of the planet's mission, global emissions come from outside of u.s. borders. we could go to zero tomorrow and the problem isn't solved. >> they can be the people to go to work to make the solar panels. i think workers are going to see that with the efforts of the biden administration so they will have much better set of choices, frankly it will create more jobs.

elizabeth: all right. that kind of top down talk is just not going to play with republicans already. i mean they're going to fight this in court. i just want to make this final point about why the biden agenda is going to hit a wall in congress. because they think they can ram through stuff on budget reconciliation like covid relief, to do that, to get a simple majority vote you have to abide by the pay-go rules. that means if you're going to incur new debt you have to cut spending elsewhere. if they do anything that incurs new debt they have to cut medicare or farm subsidies or geepublicans agree with what they're doing to bust the filibuster to do a 60 vote. what do you say to that angle? is the biden agenda going to hit a wall? >> of course it is going to hit a wall. remember, biden took office saying that we are now going through four simultaneous crises.

covid we would all agree with crises, there is climate crisis and racial equity crises. there is more debate about that. certain amount of democratic base believe climate is urgent crisis as urgent anything else. it will simply not fly in congress. secretary kerry made it sound like the green jobs would pop up. there would be a solar panel factory popping up out of nowhere. by the way, one last thing, i mean the biggest thing you can do to create green jobs is to expand the natural fast -- gas industry. because of the adoption of natural gas u.s. emissions go way down the years. it would go down the rest of the world if they start using it more too but that is something not on their agenda. elizabeth: next time we'll talk about the head of nato has warned that russia was basically secretly working with environmentalists in europe to stop fracking in order to get

that you're watching the fox business network. welcome back to the show scott martin. i love having you on. you are wall street pro. gamestop, it looks like the gamestop frenzy is being stop. are youu worried this will spred a bubble mania that affects other sectors besides these reddit stocks? what do you say? >> it is game over and i think it's a lesson learned really. i don't think it's going to spread as much as we thought it would have on monday because if you look at the trade it was over by basically noon on monday by lunch. didn't last as long. the gamestop frenzy the nokia and amc frenzy lasted several days so i think given some of the shorts were taken out of the provision and some of them were taken off guard that allow the gamestop frenzy and some of its counterparts to last longer. next time i don't think it will be a surprise. liz: so there's a lot of talk about this being a morality tale

with david and goliath the little guys taken in the big guys when it really was a bubble mania. this is terrible for investors in the market. people gett. hurt in loose a lot of money. this is not just a morality tale rates and expensive game of financial uncle, right? >> yes and frankly in a game of arithmetic you know what happened to gamestop's stock over the last several days. rallied 35%, 40%, 60% every couple of days here and there and then out lost a big number 3% drawdown and then a 50% drawdown. when you look at the arithmetic and see we are losing less amounts on the bigger numbers 48 was near the top you start to realize how much money you are losing that individual investors were e-mailing me over the weekend saying i don't understand why allows a much money but i thought i made more than i lost but yes if you were losing more off of your numbers.

to your point it was a lesson for investors and there's no such thing as free money. liz: let's explain it this way is one of my pals on wall street told me. let's talk about it this way. let's financeay a big -- that is the values of shares in failing companies small retailers like gamestop and many allow these inexperienced traitors $150 per share at $30 it sounds like investingha in a ponzi scheme. now we have that happening and now we have why doesn't the big board list these companies? the why is now congress talking about fixing the problem with a wealth tax or tax on stock trade when hedge funds have stopped congress from enacting a tougher role which would mean you have a firewall inside the markets where you cannot basically short

the stock unless it's on an uptick? we have that for decades. that's a natural fix, right? >> grade-point and regulators route to brecht is 10 lunch and dinner and a midnight on this one and it got out of control. to your point the fact that this was allowed to go on all last week was near criminal. it wasmi allowed because it wasn the rules but it was a bad move. on thursday-ish some sharks got into the water meaning some of the big institutional investors started coming in and hedging, shorting these names where there was outright shorting theng stok and you saw what happened on friday. a lot of those platforms that represent individual investors mom and pops trading started cutting off liquidity to a lot of those investors that needed the liquidity the most. get out of the way and they got

stuck in the trade and they got trapped. now here it is monday and tuesday in people want 50, 60, 70%. liz: you just laid it out perfectly scott with the lay of the land would happen. they will limit trading to include the trade so that's what happened with robinhood. he's expected to testify. talked to me about senator elizabeth warren wanting now a tax which is unconstitutional and you would need an army of irs auditors the size of russia to enforce everybody's net worth meaning the value of your house, the value of your car's market to market what your net worth is. irs officials have told me they don't wantt that. you need an auditor arm and an appraiser armed the size of russia to enforce it. absurd.ently breathtakingly idiotic is what one person told me.

your final thoughts on that wealth tax to fix fix it? >> words i probably can't say on tv. think about it not only as a wealth tax very expenses on itself but the cost of enforcing the wealth tax will mean it will meet its own tax. people would need to go out there and find these data points find these figures and it's absolutely ridiculouss and something that would hurt the economic growth picture.e. liz: that's right. you'd have to raise taxes even more to pay for that irs army to dodo it. scott martin thanks for that great insight in your perspective are great to see you scott. still ahead pond elba karo leading the movement to recall california and governor newsom. we'll have an update on that and whether or not his governor newsom really going to be kicked out of office? that thread is t looking more

bail. his policies are not practical enough popular right now which is why he took a big dive in the polls in the last four months. as the "l.a. times" put it he is plummeting. there is blood in the water and democrats are coming out in thinking about running. this is going to be an exciting next couple of months and the rest of the year the elections will be in august. liz: so he's leaving voters in the dark about what data he's using a to shut down a lot there in california. the administration there is governor newsom's administration saying voters will understand the data when you have silicon valley and smart people in california i think ite figured out and he said things like the california health department saying restaurants in california you are not allowed to turn on your television because it could attract more people to watch it and spread the virus?

you see that happening in michigan but let's welcome "fox news" contributor david webb. here's what else is happening. lease 15 states and washington d.c. amassing major fights between teachers unions and school boards and parents saying saying -- fighting over reopening. talk to us about that. >> there's so much to say here so let's try to unpack this in the short time we have. first of all obviously the students are losing. we are losing the school year but more than that they are losing the advancement of education and socialization. think about things and school abuse and other issues. over 50% cut by teachers and school counselors and officials so that's another issue. good security for the kids in poor communities and now let's talk about the women around america. women in some of the biggest losers in jobs since the pandemic vegan especially in the service sector jobs, restaurants

and other service sector jobs. they typically overlap with poor communities, single parents another economic insecurity and when they lose even more because they have to stop to take care of their children they are unable to work which affects the economy. there'ss a long-term effect in the long-term as we have the generation that will be hampered and that may affect affect the workforce a big economic story. liz: mayor lightfoot of chicago is bringing up this fix. other mayors are saying this is a fix to. the cdc says you can reopen. the american medical association says yes you can safely reopen so the mayors are talking about more ppe and they are talking about temperature checks, talking about cleaning school classrooms in order to be safe but the teachers are saying we want to be vaccinated. rent going to come back and some of them are saying they are going to come back until the year 2022 and they are threatening to go on strike.

youu have private schools, catholic schools and charter schools back in school. your thoughts? >> it's a private schools are open and that the data supports the children should be back in school it's a broad i applicatin in individual cases where those schools not opening? the answer these in some cases herself -- teachers and unions and many teachers by the way want to go back to work so let them go and do their jobs. they have spent hundreds of millions of dollars in these districts on safety protocols on equipment and training and what is not working as on line and remote were learning. doesn't work for the school system and itm. doesn't work or the students or the community and therefore not the economy. liz: low income families can afford computers and laptops for their children so it's really hurting them to. i want to redo this quote from the journal of american medical association quote has been little evidence that schools
