taxes. the math does not work it's auditing to the national debt and the tax increases are going to slow down economic growth and stunted recovery that we hope will happen sooner ratherer than later. >> i hate that phrase paid for when talking to taxes. it's not paid for comes out of the productive private sector and comes into the unproductive public sector which misuses a tremendous amount of that money maybe not 100% but sometimes it's close to that you look at what happened after the last great recession and the lot of that money went down the tubes. paid for is the wrong way to do it and also the idea that you can pay for if you want to use the expression by taxing the rich is impossible. the math does not work, there aren't enough rich people to pay for that. it's going to hit the middle class will it not? >> when you look at the corporate tax rate, big corporation in new york or california i don't have to worry

if we raise taxes on those. the truth is corporate tax increases passed on to consumers and passed down to workers, lower wages for workers and higher prices for consumers economic literature on that is very consistent in showing that passed down happening and that means people are going to have less take-home pay and that means the tax foundation they model the tax increase going the corporate rate from 21 - 28% and every single important group whether your poor, rich saw a reduction in after-tax income. just because of the corporate tax increase. that's not even counting the other host ofve increases that have been floated as part of this plan. david: we have so much history to guide us and apparently is not guiding this administration. we just had a full-screen up maybe we can put a back of lyndon johnson his great society program is meant. it's up a tick and it didn't

work on that level. look at how much money on how much legacy cost. it was not just a one-shot spending deal. he worked into the system and all of the poverty programs that became a legacy of his and it is cost $22 trillion and is likely what president biden is talking about his plan with his legacy programs that were long outlast this one spending, will cost trillions of more money and used years to come. >> if you look more recently lbj and if you look back at 2009 they push nearly a trillion dollars into the economy and yes we created jobs and we did to add a cost of $4 million per job. so i guess government works if were willing to make it that incredibly inefficient to create jobs by contrast in 2017 we sent
