school and extra federal benefits and it really is forcing, wouldn't say forcing that giving people the option to just date palm and more money than going to work. how does that put a drag on economy? >> it's pretty simple aslan by the way thanks for having me back. if you pay people not to work they are not going to work and if you want work something is subsidized at and a full out more and employment you pay people to be unemployed. the more interesting discussion will be over the course the next couple of weeks where we see the breakdown by the state maybe 25 or 28 states that stop the federal supplement and it's important that people know we aren't stopping unemployment. those dates are not stopping unemployment benefits raided the conditional federal supplement their stopping. curious to see how the job growth differs in those dates in the states and chose not to do that in democrats will say it has no effect on job growth and it will encourage people to get

minute put out a statement from the press secretary about the call. let me read it to you. the first time i've seen at ashley. the president talked to shelly moore capito and she conveyed a new offer from her group which consisted of a 50 billion-dollar increase in spending across a number of infrastructure programs. the president expressed his gratitude for effort in goodwill but indicated the current offer did not need his objective to grow the economy tackle the come climate crisis and create new jobs. he ended -- indicating we continue to engage a number of senators in both parties in the hopes of achieving a more substantial package then agreed to speak again on monday. translation there as you and i are saying this for the first time appears to be the republican offer came up in the area $50 billion but clearly you can take from that statement the president doesn't believe it is

you very much blake. let's bring back in mick mulvaney. i'm sure he was interested to hear all of that. the republicans raising their offer little by little dare i say $15 trillion, apparently not enough. where is this all headed? at. >> i think for the first time we are headed for a deal and i understand hava oppressed the most interesting thing happened overnight or at least we learned about it overnight yesterday or early this morning president ryden willing to take some of the tax increases off of the table. that's a very important signal what i think you are saying is that democrats are starting to -- they'll assume if they can't get a bipartisan deal that the democrats can do it themselves. what we are starting to see is the democrats realizing that's going to be difficult if not impossible for them to do for a variety of reasons. maybe they don't have enough democrats or the senate reconciliation rules don't accommodate infrastructure but fervor idea of reasons you are

seeing the language changed by the president and i think it opens the door for further discussion. yesterday or two days ago i would have thought the chance of a bipartisan deal was low and in the last 24 hours the needle is moving towards a smaller bipartisan agreement on this. ashley: overall red line i would imagine for republicans is no one doing no one doing of the 2017 tax cuts under the trump administration and that's going to be the waterloo isn't it? >> keep in mind that will happen anyway if they don't do anything. a lot of those expires the lib dem at rats might try to make your argument that even though the taxes go up on their watch -- but i don't think that's the red line. the combination of things with the republicans looking at what's good for you economy and i think if they can come up with a package that they are convinced doesn't do too much damage to the economy it might give the basis for an agreement going forward.

ashley: is it safe to say biden is coming more to the other side and i say that with not a great deal of conviction because he really has listened to progressive but he would get more done if he could just come a little bit more central. >> by the way think your dad is right. i don't begase doing it because they want to do it. he's doing it because he and the other leaders of his party have figured out they can't do it by themselves so it is a reluctance. it's not that they want to do a bipartisan deal. i think it's the only deal to be had in the better question is going to be do the democrats think the benefits from no deal and would they rather have the argument going into the midterm elections? that will be a fascinating dynamic. ashley: perhaps more optimism is ahead of the weekend. thanks so much met albany for joining us today. really appreciate it. good stuff. in response to record crime

losing face on this. ashley: i want to get your take on facebook suspending former president trump's account for two years and at some point they will reassess the risk from the events at the capitol. he is banned until 2023 from a social media platform. what is your reaction to that? >> why are they trying to make him a martyr? all it does is show -- it puts facebook in the crosshairs politically and someday they will pay a price for it. back in the day at&t used to be a legal monopoly in this country and they went out of their way to make sure everyone is happy. every paper in television station got adds in service was impeccable. these people like facebook should go out of their way to make sure all voices are heard instead of taking pleasure in shutting people down. in the most disgraceful way and

republican congressman brian fitzpatrick from pennsylvania. thanks for taking time on a friday to chat with us about this. why is this so important how far do you think you can get considering that the chinese are probably the least easy people to investigate? >> it's a very simply ashley. 3.5 million lives lost and $30 trillion in economic loss worldwide permanent psychological and emotional damage to our kids. before i came in to congress i served in the intelligence community and it's not hard for me at all to connect the dots as to what's going on here. if you look at the three of that coronaviruses and the a sentry 2002 with sars one resulting in roughly 700 people dying and the host of the virus the hosts bat was found four months after. the second pandemic was merged from 2012 roughly 800 people died and the host that was found

if you go to the google maps page and you put on the wuhan urology in the central hospital there a few blocks apart. ashley: it's going to be hard to get an admission out of china for sure but what can we learn from all of this? >> first of all we will never get the source sample. they've been destroyed i'm pretty confident of that. all you have to do is put together this circumstantial evidence. anybody who has worked in a lab knows lab workers can become infected with that pathogen. in 2018 and investigation by u.s. inspectors at the wuhan lab found they had atrocious conditions comparable according to one inspector to that of the dentists office doing high-level research. there is no animal source. and if not for lack of looking. we have looked at thousands of animal species and intermediaries and none have been found so i think we have

from the pandemic. lady is in beaumont new york with the story. lydia. hey ashley you can see some of the horses now taking their walk out for the start of another race day two of the belmont stakes the three-day event here. this is a battle one-hour race that just wrapped up. small businesses and fans alike are delighted to be out here because last year the races happened with no fans in attendance and they are expecting between 11 and 12,000 spectators at belmont tomorrow for the big race. the racing association says it's responsible for a lot of economic activity in the state with 19,000 people employed in jobs and they created more than $3 billion in economic impact in a typical year. i spoke with one small business the kentucky derby at belmont just this morning.
