>> hey kennedy, the excitement is getting astronomical here. we are exactly two minutes and 20 seconds away from blastoff. behind me on launchpad that's the crew dragon on top within which are for the first time ever know astronauts, no cosmonauts just for citizen astronauts have been training for this for the past five months for the whole trip is funded by tech billionaire gerrit isaac men. he personally handpicked the other three all for their own personal inspiring stories. so once it blasts off about two minutes after 8:00 p.m. eastern time we are getting very close it will go up. the first stage of the rocket will burn out, drop off then is going to land on and off shore floating drone ship. the second stage will kick in until that burns out of its fuel. then it's just going to be the capsule heading off into orbit.

now all of the other space tourism flights this summer, virgin galactic and jeff bezos' new shepherd those were far different than this. those were short, only several minutes up near weightlessness. they were both in low earth orbit. this capsule is going into full orbit, three to 50 miles above the earth, that is 100 miles further up than the space station. they're going to 15 sunrises and sunsets every day. there is a special hoopla on the nose since they're not docking with the space station he took off the docking hatch and put in a window for 360-degree view of the earth and the cosmos for a three day admission the views as you can only imagine, a dream come true for all four of these very various space enthusiasts. it is also a fundraising trip. hailey is also one of the astronauts on board but she survived a bone cancer as a 10-year-old girl and was

treated at st. jude's research hospital. they saved her leg they did have to put a rod into replace her femur. she is alive and healthy. this is to raise about $200 million in pledges online for st. jude's research hospital for kids, really hoping to try to get closer to a cure for cancer. we are now ready for lift off it looks like. let's take a listen and watch. ten minus 15 seconds. >> they did a lot of events over the past weekend. never once did any of these four civilian astronauts indicate any sort of stage fright. they were full on, full throttle into this. so excited. they were really prepared it was a hard five months of studying with spacex. they did 0g testing on their bodies. they also did altitude training. that meant climbing 14400-foot mount rainier in washington state. they also had to learn all the science about the capsule and the mission, just in case of emergency happens, they have to know how to abort and what to do and how to get back to a safest splashdown. this is going to be roughly a three day admission. they will just orbit the earth 15 times a day and taken all of the abuse. they'll be doing some medical experiments up there with each other, taking blood draws and studying the effects of microgravity on the human body to further our knowledge of how we are going to get to

mars which should be a six month long trip eventually in the 2030s is that plan. but there when they splashdown over the weekend sometime in an undisclosed location and time it will be in the atlantic ocean and the recovery ship will go get them, hoist the capsule onto the ship, bring them back to the mainland. they will get health checks and then they will get to spend amazing stories, once-in-a-lifetime stories with their family, their wives their husbands are little kids. they've all come to grow very close to each of over the past five months. they were just beyond excitement as chris indicated he's going to be smiling from ear to ear. we could not see that but i trust that he actually was. the beginning of the flight, a lot of propulsion going on in your body is really pushed back into the seat. but doug hurley and astronaut bank and fitted crew one last

the status quo so the state government benefits them and only them. >> that's exactly right. into your point a lot of people kept calling this a republican recall. there were democrats in the race as well. what was not talked about the democrats in the race were silent. the party leadership went against them. the democrats and the national race one, the leading candidate that was opposing gavin newsom said he could not even get a democrat lawyer to represent him when it came to election integrity in all of that. i think that is pretty disgusting. a party that supposed before the people, the little guy is now saying do you know what? only the least voice is going to be heard. i think that is really what this race was about. this was about the elite. the elite voted for gavin's and pray. >> i other states realize the recall initiative is actually very powerful. and politicians should be scared of it. they should have more of it in more states. to sum it is doing a horrible
