more worried about things like cancer and heart disease been coronavirus, that is good news. a number of people didn't go to the doctors for serious conditions during the pandemic and we are not idiots. after two years, most of us understand the risks. we can't walk ourselves back in our closets and even the airline industry is ready to turn the page. this could be great news. the ceo of southwest airlines is questioning the need to wear masks on planes. >> the statistics from a 99.97% of airborne pathogens are captured by the filtering system but turns over ever two or three minutes. i think the case is strong that masks don't add much, if anything in the air cabin environment. it's very safe and high-quality compared to any other indoor setting.

can go mask us on our airlines and another says it keeps our passengers and crew safer, which one would you choose? >> i'm with the science on this and i completely agree with where the ceo of southwest where's, we are not going to mask our way out of the pandemic, pointed vaccinate and test our way out which i think is where the american people are we are two years into this pandemic, a year into having the vaccine and we know there's such a thing as natural immunity so we need to do that and when the antibodies run out, get them vaccinated that's how we get out of this pandemic, it's not with mask politics. it's not from wearing their mask into the restaurant and taking it off when you're seated these things don't make sense, vaccination and testing is the way out. kennedy: so which airline would you choose? >> and with the airline that

surprised at all because i've been saying for years southwest is the only airline who seems to care about the consumers at all. basic human rights from the minute you buy a ticket, imagine that. you don't have to have status for them to care about you and don't charge for bags and you can chart your flights when you need to. i've been in there cap a long time. making these statements makes me even more and consumers will pick and i think they will pick airlines that give freedom and you will also see employees will pick, we see across the airlines people are traveling into ropes and we don't have enough pilots, attendance and i hear from these people all the time because i'm on the road a good bit, they are fed up with it and sick of the mast and having to police skies and getting augmentative and aggressive over policies, they hate the vaccine so united can fire as many as i want, i know where they're going to go, southwest airlines. but the market speak. kennedy: and you are right,

airport are crowded. anyone who traveled for thanksgiving and will travel next week for christmas, you will see, get there early because people are definitely back in the skies and i feel for the flight attendants because they are verbally assaulted, sometimes physically assaulted because they have to uphold this federal policy and it's tough on them. that's why you see a shortage in airline crew, it's hard to get people to do their jobs right now so let's have a look at that. look who has come crawling back, ceos of two dozen retail businesses including target, i am classy. nordstrom, alter, home depot have signed asking congress to help stop organized retail theft but you get what you pay for. what the companies paid for, massive crime rates. fox news reporting corporations donated to left-wing politics in

are not going to go along with this, they helped fonda and now they are actually experiencing the result of it and i hope it continues and i hope they understand the implications of their weakness and lack of courage and it continues until they get to where they don't make these decisions anymore but corporations have never been filled with courage and so i don't expect them to learn much from this but this is what happens when you make stupid decisions based off emotions and set of facts and reality. kennedy: and you have a lot of corporations, they do donate money to seemed like they care, they don't actually care. they care about making money, they are businesses with boards and publicly traded stocks. they want to appease shareholders. >> they were trying to buy the groups off. they were trying to buy the groups off and say pay them off in six figures thinking nothing would happen to them.

kennedy: kevin, you go ahead and start talking now. >> the corporations, all they care about his optics. i love going on your shall because i believe in funding the police, that's why i supported joe biden in the primary and general election and last month the department of justice has been asked on $50 million in grants to aid local police. it supporting more cops on the street. 1000 new crops hired and again last month by the biden department, police dude need for resources and power local communities to take charge and fight back against smash and grabs we are seeing across the board. it's also assault and sexual assault and violence and homicide across the board and we need to come back that democrats supporting this president and funding police and providing more resources. kennedy: blm, this was pretty vocal about taking 90% of funding away from lapd which is not necessarily the best way

because pretty much every night the pendulum is going to swing the other way. is it a job for congress or should we leave it up to mayor city councils and governors to tackle organized retail theft? >> i'm always going to say local jurisdictions to tackle these crimes and i want to be the one person to push back because i have to question things when i see two groups of people unionized telling me something and we seek police pushing this narrative that crime is up, you defunded us, which shouldn't happen across the country, that was the slogan but we haven't seen the policies come to fruition and another group of businesses. kennedy: they cut funding in portland and nypd. they cut funding in minneapolis, they actually did and now they have to take the money because they have so many officers retire, the mayor is begging for people to drink the force, they are having a difficult time

recruiting people. i feel you about police unions and i think that is one of the entities that stands in the way of meaningful terminal justice reform but i also don't trust progressives to reform anything because i think their agenda to let society completely fall apart. not sure for what final aim but go ahead and finish your thought. >> i don't think progressives have the solution to the issues but what we saw, police unions across the country got higher wage increases because of this narrative. my problem is you see business owners pushing the narrative that they need congress to act but if you look at the legislation, they want them to pass, it something that will hurt their competitors something about online being sure they know who is selling what because the brick-and-mortar's have to compete and businesses don't like competition, they want favoritism and congress to come in and give them a special favor so we have to question motives behind police unions and

business leaders and i did some digging, shoplifting is up but only marginally. we see good data from the national retail federation representing 25% of revenue retail in the country and it shows 2015 to 2020, they saw shrink an increase from 1.4% to 1.6% in a represent not just theft but internal theft and error as well so it is climbing but is a massive explosion? no, a lot more people are being videoed and attention on it. in certain jurisdictions, you do see things out of control. kennedy: but also if you have people who don't want to go out and shop at brick-and-mortar places because they are scared they're going to get caught up in a heist so it does have a ripple effect you have to prosecute people equally. you don't get to pick and choose in a civilized society so we'll see, we have to solve everything.

>> that is not fair to joe manchin, i don't see any indication of that. i think the "issue is" that manchin pledged to go along with a child tax credit previously and right now, as we are talking, the current child tax credit is going to expire so it will impact american families so their argument to joe manchin is it's a popular item with the american people as well as pre-k universal pre-k as well as middle-class tax cuts as well as dealing with climate change. the proposals are popular but right now, and i think this is what you are hearing from lindsey graham, being successful thing forget about the individual parts of the bill, look at the ultimate price tag and the idea that some of these programs may remain in place even once the bill is done and accrue even higher type price tags. joe manchin is reluctant to sign

on right now. i don't think the bill is dead but right now you can anticipate it's going to be, i don't even know if january is a realistic juncture. kennedy: how do they negotiate? is not just the child tax credit, that's very narrow, the legislative tax is not finalized, they don't have proper cbo score and there are elements that can be problematic for senators and purple state. >> that's right, play along with our youth fruitcake, you got to make sure the people are willing to eat there fruitcake and build back better. manchin said he's in up next 1.75 trillion. so the question is, what is in that? that's where you have to start scripting things out, get rid of
