feel safer if many of us carry firearms for self protection? >> i'm from texas in the answer is yes, i think new yorkers should have the ability. a third of the states right now have what some call constitutional carry, don't even have to ask the government permission to protect yourself and carry it on. a lot of the people who are arrested and charged with gun crimes in new york city are just people trying to protect themselves like the rest of us would want but in new york unlike most parts of the country, virtually impossible for law-abiding citizens to get a concealed carry permit and the has to change. kennedy: but it's easy to get guns. when you feel unsafe and when there's lag time after you call police, you got to do something to protect your family but also, das like alvin bragg, they are letting the wrong people out. when you got rap sheet going
