[laughter] >> i'm already down once i shouldn't be talking. kennedy: katie, a lot of talk is centered around guns and they are finding these men in the gun argument in the form of ghost guns but i don't know what that really does to keep new yorkers safe. it seems like a lot of words they are throwing back and forth that will not amount to action, not higher quality of life are safer streets for new york. >> they could make progress on the issue of criminals using guns illegally and enforcing the laws already on the books in a place like new york city that has extensive gun control laws with maastricht in the country but they tend to not connect the

back here, they are so focused on the guns they are not focus on the people pulling the trigger. for joe biden to go from washington d.c. today is an indication he knows poll numbers are in the toilet on this 65% of the country believe he's doing a poor job when it comes to solving crime but i don't have much faith this will change, at least on the federal level because personnel is policy and joe biden but kristin clark, an assistant attorney general at the department of justice wrote a column about defunding police and defunding is not just about money, it's ideology, not backing police when they need the help against violent criminals and giving criminals the benefit of the doubt instead of victims like we see in new york city, women getting shot at work or in d.c., women getting carjacked with their kids in the car so that's the issue they need to focus on, not in animate objects used by criminals the wrong way. kennedy: but it is that

criminality and violence and intention and that's what we have to focus on because i do agree most people probably don't belong in jail but the ones who are committing these crimes over and over, they do belong in jail and that is the problem with the progressive version of criminal justice reform, this blanket one-size-fits-all policy is about prescription for society so how can we do better? taking violent bad people off the street who want to hurt others often times discriminate leak while keeping nonviolent people out of jail who shouldn't be caught up in the system in the first place. how do you do that? >> thanks for having me, i think there are real solutions out there but look at a place like st. louis out of all the cities in the talking points for uc crime increasing, democratic run city, homicide is actually going down. when you ask the mayor, mayor

jones, she will tell you they are finding ways to support police and they have to bounce criminal justice so they have a program and uncertain because they send out social workers to called to sort of one from at the escalate. two, make sure they are not putting people in jail and getting the help they need. three, making the community trust police mark. the other problem is to make sure face-off all the open homicides out there in many cities police are overworked and not solving crimes and going after small crimes and if we go to the bigger crimes, illegal guns off the street, they will have the problems you are seeing the guns they proliferated. the third thing is figure out how they are in community and higher interrupters and high crime, people who live in community to engage as part of the crime solving process. as a result, . kennedy: it's really funny, i

like a lot of the stuff you're saying because you are right, you do have to come up with better systems and have social workers and cops who engage with each other and have better communication but you touched on something i think is funny, you just let it high crime neighborhoods with a bunch of karen's, i think you would see crime go down because criminals would be so annoyed, they would stop doing what they are doing. better ratings. >> right. zucker and his girlfriend basically rooming, andrew cuomo to be a presidential candidate. that's what i think. they saw him, they saw a ratings and comedy gold in their mind and they thought, we are going to do everything we can to make sure this continues even though it completely unethical. kennedy: this will thing, i do not. i saw the headline and was like there is so much more to this because they were having an affair everybody knew about, it's not the disclosure, he could just say we should have said something, that was wrong i've been suspended two weeks, i will hang out with whoopi goldberg and do some soul-searching. that would have been fine but what he's accused of, chris cuomo has all of the text tying him to his brother with chris as the intermediary and believe me,

did johns hopkins university try to bury its own study that determined covid lockdowns didn't work? that's the accusation after the
